You are basing this assumption on the reaction to a make believe book series. The movies have actors in their 20's, not teenagers. They are obsessed because they enjoy the love story and whatever else comes in those books, not because they want to hop on teenage boys.

I agree, the punishment for this type of thing is way too inconsistent between genders. This ex-cheerleader should have had more, and at the very least registered as a sex offender. As for your second statement, I am going to have to respectfully disagree. In my own personal experiences with other women, I have yet to witness such attractions. However my small sample size does not speak for all women, so my conclusion holds little weight.

I agree, there has been a disgustingly increasing number of these cases. But Bobsutan's suggestion is the worst way to go about it. Do I think there should be more of an emphasis put on this stuff in degree requirements? Hell yes! Fuck that! Female who is about to teach high school here. I would rather shoot myself than ever be forced to be in a classroom with elementary kids. I have absolutely no patience for that age group. Besides teaching for the different age groups requires different practices and different degrees for a reason.
