But again most is not all so taking 3 tweets and assuming that is again just unfair.

Not trying to hate on you. But in no way do we know that any of those posters are feminists. So it's just not a fair statement you're making.

No it's the universal woman sign. I wouldn't say it's patriarchy. But I get where you're coming from basically saying all women wear skirts and need to look "girly" and it was set up in a patriarchal society. So you could actually be right. I think there should just be a universal sign for people. Oh wait there is.

I hate how the main argument is that women don't want to do the hard work because it's simply not true. The truth is that it's hard for a woman to join a sector dominated by men the same way it's hard for a man to join a sector dominated by women. Although for the sign I believe some people need to stop worrying about the little things because I don't think it matters what's written on it as long as it's point gets across. It's just a sign FFS.

Exactly. With that logic no one would be allowed to protest just because someone will always have it worse.

One issue I see with this other than homocide. It's that for combat deaths and industrial deaths it's mostly men that work there so statistically speaking it's normal that more men die in those cases. So an easy fix to that would be to encourage women to sign up in those positions.

I understand this stance and wish it would happen in Canada like some sort of male abortion. It makes all the sense in the world in a country where abortions for women is so readily available. Sadly though in the states a male abortion would make no sense since depending on the state female abortions can be near to impossible to get. So in a country like Canada let's fight for men abortions and in a country like the USA let's fight for the right for everyone to get an abortion.

Not at all don't worry. I know I'm hypocritical when I talk which is something I have to work around. But it was an example of citation. Which I'm sorry I don't think i explained well why I rather things cited. It's mostly so you know where the information came from and such. Last thing too sorry for being so agitated before and saying what I said, it's another thing I need to work on too.

(D.Lunny, lecture, septembre 2014). Although looking back at my notes from that class I have noticed that the feminism movement is separated in specific waves and the feminism I was talking about is 3rd wave feminism and is generally what people associate with to my knowledge.

No need to be salty I was just trying to make you better at arguing. I wasn't trying to offend what little pride you had. Although you are right I didn't cite either so I'll make sure to be careful with that next time.

Do you not know how to structure a real argument then? First off you just listed things. Argument foul 1. Then your list had no citations. You wanna know why you need to cite it yourself. It's so the one on the receiving end can actually see where you got that specific point from. Which I still wouldn't know what your point would be because refer to argument foul 1.

Well there is definitely a difference between your perception and reality. Because feminism is about equality of every gender or race. I get that you may have encounters with some extremists that totally blur the message of the movement but that's not enough to generalize the entire movement as what this extremists stand for. It's the same thing as saying all Muslims are terrorists. The best way to understand a feminist and to show them the struggles men have to go through is first to understand…

It's probably because the users are not extremists but one mod is a salty extremist.

This is clear sexual assault. But I just want to put into perspective that this is another culture so in their eyes this may not be considered so. Although even with that said it's not acceptable. And this is why schools should actually teach what sexual assault and consent is during sex Ed.

I would of preferred to see the exact article you read when it happened to see the same thing you saw at the time. But from what I gather there were some extremists who tried to silence another persons pov. But I wouldn't generalize them as feminists or call them feminists whatsoever because that's not at all the true point of feminism. I assume you did your research into what actual modern day feminism and not only focused on fringe groups and activities because if so you should know that it's …

I feel like living in Canada really disconnects me from issues like this because when I was in college you could say your views no matter what. The only way you'd be silenced in a way is if you were factually wrong and even then we'd hear it out and explain to them where the actual facts were. Although I doubt all of Canada is this way but at least where I was yes.

the wordings funny since any safe space will always cover up a side of a debate and create the debate useless. So why would you want a safe space for men?

In Canada the First story would not be even closely related to rape since if you are not of consenting age (16) you can still have sexual relations with anyone up to a 5year age difference. Although the second story of the boy was under 16 it would definitely be rape although 16 and over it would just be a creepy relationship but legal. But everyone lets remember the true rule to dating is 1/2 your age +7 for the youngest you should go and as for oldest -7 your age x2.
