This legislation was introduced over 20 years ago. Anyone that bothered to check would have known about it.

You are aware that compulsary retirement was 65 for BOTH men and women (as well as the fact that this no longer exists)? The only difference was that women could CHOOSE to retire and claim benefits earlier? They weren't forced to. How you can claim this is for men's benefit is (as I said) bizarre. Women not only live longer so get a greater than equal slice of benefits, but also got to retire 5 years earlier thereby men are paying significantly more for significantly less not just due to the fac…

Exactly - but you don't want them to be treated equally now? I'm not sure I really understand the second point at all. You are arguing this law was made to benefit men as a means NOT to equalise it, it's bizarre.

They aren't reducing the age, they are increasing it - those affected have more time to prepare... At present it isn't really very fair, given men die earlier than women and yet women get to retire 5 years earlier... If we delay this, we should be prepared to delay other equality measures...

Your are misunderstanding why perhaps. There are countless videos on this sub of women starting violence with men as if they have the right to hit men and not be hit back. This attitude is very widespread and is also identitied as the number 1 trigger to domestic violence against women - i.e. the best way for women to avoid domestic violence is not to initiate it. The whole feminist movement is based around equality of rights. And so the meme, equal right and lefts, is an obvious response to the…

It's difficult to know if these people are just utterly stupid and totally self absorbed or plain evil.

I wouldn't know, it was a spontaneous rationalisation. I don't really understand what you are saying - there are plenty of late teenage / early 20s paedophile men.

Wild guess - Those who used to be the centre of attention but feel it slipping away through aging might find this to be a good way to rebolster their ego.

The more time I spend on reddit, the more I realise that female paedophiles are a very real thing.

I guess she didn't BANK on that happening... She should have ACCOUNTED for their feelings... I guess she increased the rate of DEPOSITS... ... OK, that's enough...

If you do something 147 times, apparently without a compelling reason other than to find a lavish lifestyle (because you could), to be truly sorry requires you to reflect on your entire personhood, following the consequences of your actions, such that you change as a person and would take different choices next time. That could happen over the course of a 5 year jail sentence, but I personally don't believe that will happen over the lead up from getting caught to being tried.

I mean to be fair the guy is a bit of a dick, but an anti violence protester repeatedly hitting people unprovoked would reflective of many of these people if it wasn't fake.
