Not quite on the spot but a few weeks after. The biggest regret I had from that relationship was not cheating on her. I suffered as though I had been guilty of it, I may as well have had some fun with all these hot blondes she was picturing me with (not my sister obviously) haha

I know what this feels like and I'm sorry you're going through it. My ex accused me of all sorts of fucked up shit which all stemmed from insecurity and jealousy. First it was other girls who I was apparently cheating on her with, then it was my own sister, then eventually she claimed I was abusing our baby daughter. She went as far as having her examined by a GP to check her hymen was still intact. Part of her "evidence" was finding white stains on a muslin cloth, which her irrational mind deci…

I'm not very good at recalling counter arguments during conversation. My sister is somewhat open to changing her mind about things so giving her a book that would do a better job than me is worth a shot. It worked once with a different subject matter.

A good coach is positive, enthusiastic, supportive, trusting, focused, goal-oriented, knowledgeable, observant, respectful, patient and a clear communicator. - first definition I could find. You telling me you wouldn't seek out a partner with these characteristics? Coaching is about helping someone to improve and flourish, not control. Coaches generally have good intentions. If both People in a relationship are coaching one another and open to being coached, that can only be a good thing. In fac…

On the topic of TV shows, my GF and I have been watching the first season of 'You' on Netflix and, so far, every single male character introduced has been bad with the exception of two - a child and a shop assistant who happens to be a 'person of colour', relegated to the bit of token good guy and comic relief. We have: The main character - murderer, pervert, stalker. The ex boyfriend - disrespectful, cheat. The neighbour - domestic violent, drunk. The shop owner - angry, abusive. The university…

There's a his in the first paragraph that should be a her. There was a post on an advice subreddit the other day that I thought would be interesting to swap the genders on. Basically a sober GF had sucked off her black out drunk bf and then proceeded to ride him. In the morning he joked that men go to prison for doing the same thing. Vast majority of the comments were supporting the GF.

I've been walking around London for 2 days and this was the only patrol of four officers that I noticed, they're always in twos. Anyone in London can tell you that there is currently a heavy police presence in the city centre, as you can imagine, while the Queen is lying in state. I found it interesting that two petite female officers were being chaperoned, that's exactly what it looked like anyway.

Hey, thanks for your comment here. I wasn't getting notifications properly for a long time and missed this. I spent a long time standing up for myself and calling out every instance of hypocrisy but it was stressful and I was the one left exasperated. I wouldn't gain anything from starting that again or making what happened public, except to stir up old fiction and bring stress back into my life. In a few more years I'll never have to see her again, other than graduations and weddings and that s…

All medical procedures have a risk. It's that risk coupled with the typically unnecessary part which I have a problem with. Then there's the fact many circumcised bros do wish they still had a foreskin. Will you concede you don't speak for them all?

10

I think you're confusing our discussion with someone else..
/r/MensRights16/07/22 10:28 AM
10

I thought we were having a reasonable discussion here, obviously not. Men who have been circumcised DONT GIVE A FUCK. Except, and I revert back to those who have been maimed or killed by the procedure, they do. I can't remember what sub we're on but if it's MRA, I've seen plenty circumcised dudes complain about it here. So what the fuck are you complaining about? Complaining on behalf of those who can't. You know, to hopefully help lead to a world where more infant boys are saved from a typicall…
/r/MensRights16/07/22 09:50 AM

a procedure that doesn’t kill or maim them. Except it can and does. If you want to stay on the topic of newborn babies, parents don't have the right to terminate them. Just because you don't miss your foreskin doesn't mean others don't regret their parents decisions. Like I reasoned in my first response, I'd be pissed off if my lack of foreskin wasn't down to genetics. You seem to be saying that boys who wish they hadn't been circumcised should just get over it and be happy they weren't aborted.
/r/MensRights16/07/22 09:31 AM
10

Do you not think you've given an argument against abortion rather than an argument in favour of circumcision? in comparison Beating a kid half to death isn't as bad as ending their life completely. King Leopold was chopping off children's hands left right and centre - that's not so bad, right? Just because one thing is accepted doesn't mean another thing should be. Killing animals for food and sport are seen as different issues to many people, for example.
/r/MensRights16/07/22 08:22 AM

I don't have enough foreskin to cover the head of my penis and it pretty much looks circumcised when erect. I hate the way the exposed tip rubs in my shorts and it's less sensitive than the covered part. I'd 100% rather have another half foreskin than remove the "half" I do have. I'm glad you're happy with your body but it's not something parents should be allowed to do to their kids willy nilly.

Good point you made. I felt it was my fault for letting the jam be taken from my doughnut and turning the atmosphere for not just quickly explaining myself. Like, to continue the story just to prove that I wasn't going to say anything inappropriate or mean was like a defeat for me as well. I wouldn't have come away happy from continuing so I excused myself, had a pee, relaxed and then enjoyed the rest of the night.

Probably a bunch of contributing factors. We were all heavily intoxicated and English isn't the native language of either of them, Conversations switch between English and Polish quite rapidly at times so it's easy to zone out of what is being said when there's music, dancing and good times being had. She had also latched onto the mystery of my question and was keen to know - so she probably hadn't picked up properly on what had been said to me. I'm not worried about her reaction at all.

I don't want to lose them as friends, they're good people and nobody is perfect. My girlfriend moved to the UK from Poland to be with me about 6 years ago and they have been a big part of welcoming her into the community and making this place home for her (they're polish too). I'll have a conversation with the friend about it at some point and hopefully we'll all grow as people. Haha iirc my crush stemmed from, and was then entirely sustained by a single album cover photo of this red-haired woma…

We spoke about it this morning and agreed it wasn't the friends place to act the way she did. I'm going to speak to the friend about it another time and clear the air properly, I let it slide last night. We'll be able to move on, but I'll definitely be a bit more wary of her. I'm assuming she won't stick to her guns with her sober head on.

Jesus. Pandering to a large voting demographic at any cost. All for the votes, for all the power. The Government has no decency or care for the people at all, do they? It's all for show. We need equality between classes as much as anything, with the ruling and governing class brought down to the same level as everyone else. Cronyism in government should be despised. How it is tolerated by voters is beyond me. Oh, that's right, the voters are distracted by other issues.

I hope u r better now I do have much better coping mechanisms and the stress from that relationship is mostly over now that my daughter is older. I just dwell on the past from time to time and feel myself becoming bitter and resentful - which isn't attractive. Thanks for the hug 🤗

Is Johnny questioned about how Amber came by the bruise on her arm? There's a recording where Johnny asks for them not to fight and for her to respect his space and another where they talk about how she was invading his space by attempting to get through a bathroom door. It's not out of the realms of possibility that he did "grab her" and inflict the bruise, to get her out of his face. I'd be interested to know if it was actions like this that made the Sun's "wife beater" accusation "substantial…

The difference is, men are physically capable of prying open those legs and do so. Women are literally scared for their fucking lives to say no to a man. 9 out of 10 women have been raped or know someone who has been. It's not the same at all. - feminist, probably. Edit: /s because apparently it wasn't clear.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Someone who was just vindictive and going for full custody of our child has lied her way through the past 4 years I suffered the same experience and faced some awful accusations. Poor kid. Same thing happened near where I live. I guy was lured to a park by his ex girlfriend where she had arranged for two psychos to kill him. They got 20-odd years while the woman got 10. She was pregnant with his child at the time and I have no doubt she'll be out early in a couple of years.

You know, I don't think I've ever experienced a proper crumpet. I'm Scottish though, so I do have the slim chance of leaving the UK going for me, but on the other hand there's the inescapable midges and an even slimmer chance of qualifying for the world cup.. 😅

There's plenty of ways to equalise a "fight" though, as many full grown men have experienced. I'm sure the majority of 8th graders would decline the fight in the first place, with that unwillingness to lay hands on her, even in self defence, doing much of the equalising.

What would happen to a father's responsibility to pay child support if the mother were to choose to put the child up for adoption? I don't think I would understand the "logic" if he no longer had to pay. Not without him having an option to opt out of parenthood alone. I could understand if his payments were reduced by 50%, with the mother now contributing the other 50%, but can you imagine the outrage there would be?

Wow, that was a nice analysis. I'd love to sit and listen to your thoughts, kinda blew my mind and scared me in equal measure. Like, to think there are people who are that cold, calculating and manipulative and will take advantage of someone else while pretending to feel entitled and justified, despite knowing it is morally wrong, is frightening. That's not far off robbing the elderly while pretending to be a friendly salesman; which is a severely disgusting behaviour by society's standards. Yet…

let's be fair here Okay, and? To me, that's like saying murdering 10 kids is much more horrible than murdering 1 kid. Yes, one is 10 times more horrible in terms of volume of suffering inflicted. However, the act of murder is equally horrible and detestable in each. The number simply extends how far our sorrow needs to be shared. "Thoughts and prayers" x10. Being "fair" towards the x10 murders isn't serving any meaningful purpose and only belittles the other imo. Even when it comes to sentencing…

I downvoted you for the aggressive opening line, which I'll admit put me off anything else you had to say. Upon second read, the rest of what you said in that first paragraph was pretty interesting. I learned something new about the tear duct differences so thanks for that. However, just because tears don't form as a natural response when you watch a sad movie, doesn't make it "bullshit" that other men do and don't want to be considered weak by society for it - something it appears you're willin…

I was emotionally and physically abused by an ex of mine and mother of my daughter. The physical stuff wasn't anything major - slaps across the face - but I'm a sensitive soul and they had a larger impact on me than you'd expect. I even wrote her a 5 page letter expressing my feelings and telling her if she continued to hit me then I would hit her back which I never followed through on. One day we were at her parents house and she was hitting me. I pushed her off me and she dramatically flung he…

what about transgender or people who are gender fluid? Shouldn’t they be treated the same, too? J. K. Rowling was crucified by feminists for advocating for female only shelters, amongst other comments. TERFS aren't welcomed among feminists. I suspect it will only be 'cis' men who will not be treated equally. That's the problem with BORFs and PORFs.

I guess the majority of people who felt comfortable enough to share were men, resulting in the men having 1 official and 2 unofficial rooms. The women complained this was sexist to force a system change instead of just sharing the restrooms. Like the cyclist who causes himself to crash meme - they brought it upon themselves then cried about it.

Yeah, it amazes me how irrational some people can be. One time, she thought she had caught me cheating on her with a woman named Karen. She had been cracking "your mum" jokes all evening (who she had met multiple times by the way) and I eventually said, in good humour, "ok, enough of the Karen jokes". Her immediate response, in all seriousness, was "who the fuck is Karen?!" and boy was it a tough night that followed. If you can deduce who Karen is, well done Sherlock :D

Men are also harassed and groped. Except we've absorbed this toxic narrative that we're supposed to enjoy it, brush it off, or think of the damage as incomparable to females. On my 21st birthday I was out celebrating with a bunch of friends. I was playing pool in one of the bars we were crawling and, as I was bent over the table taking a shot, some passing person took an opportunity to slap my arse.
