I think it was ill advised but in the US it's almost certainly not criminal... first amendment and all. She said she was going to do something 'big.' Also, for threats to be criminal, they have to be credible... these were not.

As an employer, the problem would be that if your employee ever does anything like that again and the 2nd person gets hurt... you get sued out of existence. The first lawsuit you're probably fine... arguably self-defense... no practice, training, or policy in place encouraging managers to throw blenders, no reason to know manager would throw blenders, etc. First incident happens, now you're on notice.

Fucking christ man. That's NOT how it works. Common law marriage in my jurisdiction, BEFORE THEY DID AWAY WITH IT BY STATUTE, required cohabitation and that the couple held themselves out to the public as husband and wife. If they lived together, but called each other anything other than husband and wife, there was no common law marriage.
