I didn’t have any sex drive back then hence no interest in sex.

That’s pretty much like when men asked me why I was a virgin at (age higher than they decided anyone would willingly be a virgin) since men existed and I wasn’t ugly like wtf??

Good thing that’s what most well functioning people do then. I don’t exactly see your point.

Lol what a piece of crap this is 🙄 men are happy to pair with most women because they don’t realise possible problems before they happen, meaning they need to actually make the mistakes since they can’t predict them. There’s also much less risk attached to women for men than the other way around. Women had to find a way to prevent possible negative outcomes, which’s partly why they’re more selective. There’s also the fact that more men than women are socially awkward, which’s something most wome…

Oh don’t worry, I never cared much about downvotes anyway, or random people’s unmotivated opinions 😁

What do you mean? We know it does happen. What you were saying is that there’s no barriers for women not to falsely accuse men of assault. I’m claiming that there certainly are barriers and I’m presenting you with one

So what, having a conscience isn’t reason enough for you…?

Just let me be miserable, there’s nothing else you can do anyway. Not everyone are meant to be happy yk

Yea well I’ve been to see different therapists for about 20 years now

Until others stop feeling sorry for themselves whenever I tell them about losing my dad, as if it’s worse for them finding out about it than it is to me who has to live with it, I’ll keep being angry at them

He’s one person, meaning it’s very much possible that it’s still most of us, which is what research on the topic suggest. Besides, I didn’t grow up being reserved, I struggled with depression for 20 years. I don’t hate the opposite gender either, far from. I’m just tired of people not knowing how lucky they are and instead of trying to change them I’m simply quitting. I honestly don’t see why that’s such a big deal, people are allowed to be sad and miserable if they want, as well as deciding not…

Yea but that’s true for most of us who lost a parent that early. I’m not planning on it, I won’t stick around all too long anyway. Life’s never been the same since anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 06:15 PM

I barely remember my dad since he died when I was 9. What I do remember however is that we never got along. I’m not settling with someone who just wanna please me all the time, I hate that type of people. I need intellectual stimulation, which I get from friends. No I didn’t want any “new family”, period.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 06:00 PM
1

No you don’t get it, I literally don’t want it - I don’t wanna fall in love with someone and live the rest of my life with them. It’s not about how I feel about men, I simply don’t wanna find myself a partner because I don’t believe it’s worth the trouble or the risks. I don’t wanna risk being hurt when I date and I don’t want a partner for life. That’s it
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 02:32 PM

You think such an attitude comes out of nowhere…? Hell no, it comes from interaction with men. That’s why I’ve been saying things like “so many men” and similar, because it was never about ALL men, only some. No need to judge people before the fact, which is why I only ever referred to my own past experiences, not men I never met or interacted with. And I’m not saying I couldn’t ever find connection, I’m saying I don’t want it and never did. I’d just rather not be tied to someone like that, yk? …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 05:02 AM
1

Eh yes, men like yourself have always been the problem, how can you STILL be surprised by that? Women have said so for ages, but you simply don’t seem to listen. I’m not interested in finding any connection, why else do you think I’m on a hookup site? 😒
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 08:44 PM
1

The problem is that you, like so many men, don’t seem to realise when you don’t know enough about something and are better off just stop talking 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 04:03 PM
1

Whatever dude, I’m done with you
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 03:25 PM
1

No I actually don’t know what you mean. I was on a hookup site where I after a week ended up having 1500 unread messages. It’s overwhelming, not just made up
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 11:21 AM
1

Okay, you’re entitled to your opinion, even when it considers something you’ve never experienced 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 05:45 AM

I’ve heard this argument so many times and I still don’t get it. Makes no sense to me at all
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 10:42 PM
1

How do you mean I attacked men who enjoy sex though? I was only ever referring to women 🤔 No, I didn’t realise that actually. To me, who happens to be a social worker, it’s clearly the type of reaction you’d develop as a victim of sexual assault, purity culture, and lots of shame connected to sex and your own sexuality. Thanks for pointing it out though! We might not agree but I can still appreciate you taking time to actually listen instead of simply trying to push your own agenda :)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:18 PM
1

You have no idea 😔 Thanks though, I appreciate it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:14 PM
1

That’s also a quantitative concept and pretty much only relevant in those cases. Replicability is only possible to do with known variables, meaning it’ll always be flawed in one way or another 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:13 PM
1

Penetration feels good, men touching and kissing my naked body makes my skin crawl. It’s a trauma response btw, so not considered to be normally occurring exactly 🫤
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:12 PM
1

Well lucky me that I couldn’t care less what someone like you think of me. And btw I’m Swedish - nobody’s religious here ffs Learn to read at least, I even said earlier that I personally enjoy sex
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:10 PM
1

So you’re saying someone’s forcing them not to have sex? No? Didn’t think so!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:09 PM
1

Lol conservative and religious seems more likely to you than simply being one of millions of women being assaulted by men? Wow, you sure live in a delusion
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:07 PM
1

Men, like you, all the fucking time whenever I’m out and minding my own business
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:05 PM
1

That’s called quantitative research and is only based on probability. It’s used as a first step, meaning it’s not meant to conclude truths from
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:05 PM
1

Are you for real? You do realise that only happens in a minority of the world, right? To most women sex is just a disgusting thing that are forced upon them. And I have no idea how you managed to get that into something misandrist 😆
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:03 PM
1

Lol lots and lots of women would GLADLY give away that so called “validation” anytime possible. I suppose you’re saying cat calling is a type of validation as well, huh? Jeez men can be disgusting sometimes 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:01 PM
0

You really don’t get it, do you? Only a minority of women even enjoy sex at all. Then there’s people like me who enjoy sex but hate the part that is physical intimacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:58 PM
1

Why do you assume everyone wants physical intimacy rather than just being left alone and not bothered? Once again, you’re only talking about a majority, which could be as few as 51 % of women. If it’s just about comparing it with men it just has to be available to more women than men even 🤷‍♀️ And besides, assault isn’t physical intimacy. All it ends up doing is making you want it even less
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:57 PM
1

Yea well those assumptions are based on the general population, meaning it doesn’t apply to all women anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:53 PM
1

Why would it though? And besides, who gets to decide what value other people have? It’s not even an objective assessment
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:49 PM
1

So? It’s not quantifiable anyway, meaning it’s not possible to draw conclusions from it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:48 PM
1

What? That makes no sense, there’s several of ways to interpret that 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:47 PM
1

Why not simply call it celibate though? That’s what it means after all 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:46 PM
1

Eww that just makes it more disturbing 😳
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:45 PM

Yea I don’t care, it’s fucked up no matter what you name it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 01:44 PM

There never is when one party just keep making things up out of the blue lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:50 AM

Everyone deserves it as they’re human beings, but they can also easily act in a way that end up making them undeserving of it 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:48 AM
1

Yea, cause you’re basically poor, not because women actually care, but because your country is fucked up
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:46 AM
1

That’s your opinion meaning it’s irrelevant to everyone else 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:46 AM

Yes he’s wrong, I just don’t wanna spend hours walking him, or you, through what’s wrong about it
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:45 AM

Lots of women are alone. Difference is that women typically don’t complain to everyone else about it, but rather turn inwards and hate themselves instead
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:43 AM
8

I agree with you 100 %! 🙌
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:42 AM
1

Ehh no…? Humans are per definition social creatures and do generally need social interaction as well as physical contact. The fact that lots of men seemingly believe sex is the same as intimacy tends to confuse these things.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:41 AM

I’m 29 years old and realised just a year ago that there’s men who don’t find me annoying, unattractive, or a burden (no it’s not lack of self-esteem, but rather the result of being a woman with ADHD). I’ve never been in a relationship before and don’t rush to be in one either. What’s the point? I do just fine on my own and can’t really see what would make a relationship with a man worth dating, which I absolutely hate. This could obviously be because I was sexually assaulted on my first date ev…

Great point 👌
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:34 AM

Sounds like you don’t consider anything but clearly visible or material things to be giving. That might be the issue here. Women are taught since a very young age that it’s their duty and responsibility to adapt to and cater to everyone else’s needs after all
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:30 AM
0

Ehh first off, are we talking about men and women or males and females here…? Also, this is a thing in poor countries and the US where money actually matters much. Most women DO NOT CARE about wealth in any other place. I know as much since I’m a woman, know lots of women and regularly talk to lots of women. I know for a fact, based on what your claiming, that you don’t
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:23 AM

But that makes no sense if they want 18-22 year olds!!! 😱

Lots of guys would fuck anything they could get their hands on though, meaning your point is useless

Younger than what exactly, and when does it start to become creepy then?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:10 AM

Eww that’s just disgusting to think about 😣
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 08:09 AM

Of course it’s relevant, that’s why some believe on this made up and unscientific crap

Certainly everything that counts for dating Then why not actually mention those factors…?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:57 AM

Most people exist in the middle in total but nobody is completely average ffs
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:56 AM

Ehh yea it is, it’s defined differently based on who you’d ask. Except of course income, but that’s because it’s the only one that can actually be accurately measured
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:55 AM
0

That doesn’t make it any less sad 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:51 AM

Lol no, people have standards, preferences, and goals. You are shallow
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:51 AM

That’s all got to do with your definition of what’s required 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:50 AM
1

To me personally that’s what it means to be an adult though, but I get what you’re saying and I like the idea 🙂
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:49 AM

It doesn’t matter what you say, it’s fucked up shit anyway lol
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:47 AM
1

Omg you’re impossible 🤦‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:47 AM
2

Ehh that’s only because most men don’t realise they’re dumb and immature though 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:46 AM
2

Wtf how shallow can you be?? What’s wrong with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:45 AM
2

I mean you’re basically just describing social constructs, which everything really is 😅 I don’t see the point 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 07:44 AM
-2

I’ve no idea what SMV stands for but whatever it is that’s bs. Women are still dumb and immature at that age, same as men. Stop making shit up
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:55 PM
2

Well yea, but I never mentioned anything about attraction though
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:47 PM
-3

What are you on about? Did you just make that up based on your own opinions of what makes people good or bad? Why would anyone choose someone who’s just generally better or worse than themselves across the board? Makes no sense whatsoever
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:45 PM
1

There’s an average height, income, education level and so on. It’s very much possible to measure
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:43 PM
-4

What do you mean “just like the rest of the world”? Most people aren’t average across the board. And it’s boring since it implies someone who’s happy not to evolve at all
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:42 PM
1

The examples for instance about her dressing up or cooking for you, and you buying her things. Honestly, that’s disgusting
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:40 PM
1

Lol what? That’s not how social scientific research methodology works at all. It’s only subjective unless you follow the research plan and keep the process transparent
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:37 PM
2

Why would you, a supposedly grown man, need a nurturer…?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:19 PM
1

Mediocre is mean value though. So yes, there is in fact such a thing as mediocre people
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:19 PM
2

Yes, which is why most people are also boring to anyone above average lol
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:18 PM
0

A Stacy…?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:18 PM
1

What’s that supposed to mean, men dating down? Who decides they’re above the woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:17 PM
1

What do most consider attractive then?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:16 PM
-3

Mediocre isn’t a subjective opinion though, it’s just a mean value
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:14 PM
-6

What? That makes no sense whatsoever
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:13 PM
3

Wow, that’s just sad 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 11:13 PM
2

Because that’s the type of relationship you’re describing
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 09:12 PM
2

Yea well that happens constantly lol
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 09:09 PM
3

Sounds like you’re old fashioned and/or conservative lol
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 09:07 PM
5

Yea, cause that’s what you made it sound like lol That doesn’t answer the question of whether or not you’ll reciprocate her though
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 09:02 PM
3

So basically someone that does anything for you? Do you plan on reciprocating it to her then?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 08:50 PM
3

What? How does that even make any sense? “Idiots exist that treat others like crap, why should the rest of us treat people with respect?”
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 08:49 PM
1

Lol that sounds like a ridiculously easy life compared to mine - I’d gladly trade shoes with you
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 08:46 PM
1

That’s pretty much what everyone wants, question is rather what makes a woman attractive and have a pleasant personality to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 08:45 PM
3

Yea, the difference is that men, according to you, can’t even treat women they find unattractive like decent human beings.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 05:06 PM
1

It it required for men to smell nice and fresh? Why would it be any different for women?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 04:46 PM
1

Yea, and so can women. People with long hair typically use different products than people with shorter hair, that goes for both men and women. And no, neither conditioner nor “a bunch of creams” (whatever that is) are a necessity. That’s very much true, but you’re also not supposed to use regular soap to wash your intimate parts, water is enough. Again, women can do that as well, but we’re expected (as you make very evident here) to use a bunch of different products. Probably because it’s consid…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 10:23 AM
1

I mean i don't notice most men stinking at all. Men have a lot worse sense of smell compared to women, meaning this doesn’t say much. Besides the male body is much less demanding about cleaniness than the female body. I’m sorry, what? Men sweat a lot more than women for one, what are you talking about?? 😅 Overall men have a much easier time cleaning themselves. Then why don’t they do a better job if that’s the case?? Just consider that if men go bald, they basically just need a soap bar for the …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 10:02 AM
1

Must be nice to live in a dream world like you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 09:57 AM
0

Better personal hygiene tbh, cause that seems to be one of the biggest differences between the average man vs the average woman
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/23 10:39 PM
1

Blah blah blah, that movie represents reality and if you don’t get that you have much bigger issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/23 09:55 PM
3

Yea, exactly what I’ve been thinking. Then again men tend to have very easily bruised egos and it rarely takes much to make them whine about something you said to them. People who are looking for ways to be offended tend to find it. Why else would anyone be offended by someone saying “women”?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/23 02:07 PM
1

Why wouldn’t women want intelligent men though? Street smarts would reasonably only be more interesting for women who are shallow and care about what others think of them
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/23 02:05 PM
5

Are you for real? Me and my friends roast the crap out of each other! Men on the other hand seems to be mad about everything 😅 this isn’t a “women are sensitive and therefore can’t take a joke” thing, but rather “men expect to be able to roast women without them doing the same thing back”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/23 01:43 PM
1

No point of playing the victim here. You can feel sorry for yourself all you want, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a male world. Just look at how many men reacted badly to the Barbie movie
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/23 12:17 PM
1

I’m not ignoring it, I’m saying that this isn’t something to only be studied quantitatively
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/23 12:14 PM
1

I’m sure you have spent a lot of time on this, which is exactly my point; you’re not viewing this objectively, same as everyone else 🤷‍♀️ it’s about trends, not biology
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:49 PM
2

Body shape in women is always about the way your body is shaped naturally. And yea, the hourglass shape usually is what men desire the most (annoyingly enough). That’s something you’re born with though, not something that be created in the gym. Besides, add in the fact that women’s clothing isn’t even made to fit this apparent desirable body shape and suddenly we’re back to the same shitty situation as men
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:48 PM
1

I’m not claiming I know what others do or think, I’m saying that’s exactly what we don’t know. And that’s why we can’t assume women are more shallow than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 08:44 PM
-1

Except attractiveness can’t be measured that way and there’s no way of knowing how much the respondents are influenced by unknown variables. Quantitative studies only look for what’s already known, meaning there could be loads of other factors involved that’re simply unknown 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 06:54 PM
1

So? That doesn’t prove shit 😅 you’re only one person ffs
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 05:36 PM
2

That’s not what body shape for women means. It’s the the way your bone structure looks, same as with jawline and stuff. And yes, it’s obviously gonna be easier for men to change those things by working out. I’m not even talking about being fat or not, but rather proportions. Men are square shaped, it’s not the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 05:05 PM

What compensation are you claiming women exchange consent for?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 04:59 PM
1

What compensation are you claiming women exchange consent for?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 04:59 PM

Working out doesn’t change body shape though, it actually tends to make it even more skewed
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 04:58 PM

Except men care about other way more shallow things. Don’t act like men aren’t as bad, because they certainly are
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 04:57 PM
2

Except the fact that they’d sleep with just about anyone doesn’t make them any less shallow. It only means they’re desperate enough 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 04:54 PM
5

I agree with you, what a disgusting thing to say 😐
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 04:53 PM

Why would only those things matter though…?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 04:50 PM
1

Compensation for what…?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/23 07:58 PM

Neither do I 🤷‍♀️ I do believe, however, that it depends on where you yourself stand in all of this. If you, like me, grew up believing you were ugly AF and that nobody wanted you, that your life was more different than similar to your supposed peers, and that all of this suddenly changed and ended up being the complete opposite, I think you’d have a hard time believing it as well. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re lying to yourself though, but rather that everything you assumed was true end up…

Trust me, I’m well aware of how fucked up the world actually is (dad died when I was a kid, resulting in 20 years of ptsd and a fear of intimacy. Didn’t have sex until 2 weeks ago at 28 due to severe social anxiety and depression as a result of prolonged grief). I’m saying that believing in such a deterministic, idea out of all the things in this world, that’s depressing. Why would you believe something as subjective (and therefore individual) as attraction would be as simple as you suggest thou…

1

How do you mean…?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 05:09 PM
1

Of course not, you’d need to actually know both ideologies to make sense of it 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 05:08 PM
0

And you believe that these principles are actually proven to be true, rather than a way to describe reality that makes sense to men who perceive themselves as unattractive? I suppose I simply don’t get why anyone would choose to believe in such fatalistic (and therefore quite depressing) theoretical model. If you weren’t already depressed you’ll surely end up that way if you decide to prescribe to these ideas. So basically flat earth level of science. But what else is to be expected when someone…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 05:06 PM
1

Well I sure did lol. Attraction is far from everything yk, sometimes you just wanna try something
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:55 PM
1

Yea, they’re both extremes, meaning they likely have quite a lot in common in the end 😌
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:53 PM
1

We both know that’s not what an incel is, but rather the way some men behave after they’ve given up, stopped trying and decided to blame everyone and everything but themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/23 04:52 PM
2

What is even the core principles of redpill, before it became what it is nowadays?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 07:58 PM
1

But all of those things are ruined by shitty people who think like you
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 07:43 PM
5

So what does it mean when women have sex with men they aren’t attracted to?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 07:40 PM
4

Lol fuckboys and incels often have lots in common. Basically the only difference is one gets laid and one doesn’t
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 07:36 PM
1

Only partly true and very much dependant on how much you care about other’s opinions. I for one don’t consider myself attractive at all but there’s apparently that do
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/23 10:19 PM
1

Or because they don’t see themselves that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/23 08:33 PM
1

Far from all women though. Besides, there’s no such thing as truly objective attractiveness anyway. If men feel like they’re worthless that’s simply a sign of a lacking self confidence and something that needs to be fixed. It’s all in their head.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/23 08:28 PM
1

What’s your point…? There’s both men and women experiencing this
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/23 08:22 PM
1

So you’re saying men never realise that there’s people on this planet that like them?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/23 08:13 PM
1

Well dumb people tend to be dumb as teenagers as well 😅not saying you are though, I don’t know you. But yea, teenagers are definitely dumb 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/23 04:51 PM
1

Yea, so? I bet you wouldn’t do something dangerous that you know basically nothing about, simply to please your coworkers
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/23 04:39 PM
1

Oh who the fuck cares what teenagers think?? I didn’t get it when I was one and I don’t get it now. I also just realised how I managed to stay away from anything sexual until I was past 25 😆
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/23 04:35 PM
5

“It’s bad if you’re a virgin i high school…” - what does that even mean? Bad for who and how? That sounds stupid af 😒
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/23 04:28 PM
3

You’re the one living in your own head at least and discussing subjects you have absolutely no knowledge of
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 07:04 PM
3

Because it doesn’t solve the actual problem. Even if it did, why isn’t it on men to stop swiping on 99 % of women or to write anything at all after you’ve answered them with as much effort as they put in their “hi”?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 06:47 PM
1

I’m not wasting more time on you since you’ve proved yourself seemingly incompetent in having a civil discussion. Every single time you make a comment about anything at all you seem to feel sorry for yourself and put the blame on everyone else. Be miserable if you like, who cares? 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 06:45 PM
5

Sexual assault, which happens to a lot women, not men. And since men are bigger and stronger than women, it kinda makes sense that such an experience would result in trauma
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 06:30 PM
2

Why?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 06:28 PM
15

I agree with you on this. I always assume no one likes me until proven otherwise 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 04:22 PM
5

Yea, except most men aren’t in this situation because of earlier traumatic experiences with men.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 04:20 PM
11

I had a similar experience, only I was bullied by boys all through school. I didn’t realise that any guys liked me until I was 18.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 04:17 PM
1

And if my only intention was to make an insult I would’ve put energy into it 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 03:32 PM
1

Since you're suggesting the possibility most people suffer from clinical anxiety is even remotely true, it's up to you to provide any form of evidence. Lol nobody ever claimed that though 🤷‍♀️ anxiety is a type of fear, which everyone experience from time to time, it doesn’t mean you’re mentally ill or something That's exactly my point. Your point is that providing an explanation is to take away responsibility…?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 02:08 PM
1

Source? Sure, if you can tell me it would be methodologically possible to find out. "Oh, she's just an asshole because she suffers of anxiety, it's not her fault for treating you like a dog". Does this make it clear? No, sounds like the person saying that kind of crap is the one with issues
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:57 PM
2

Okay, did you ever consider that anxiety might be the default for most people? What makes you believe this would move any responsibility from women?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:49 PM
1

Yea well I’m talking about the ideological part of it rather than the political one. Ideologically it’s typically conservatives who critisise women’s behaviour alone, as if men couldn’t possibly be doing anything wrong! It’s a question of discourse, and yours is very much similar to conservatives. So you’re saying that there’s loads of single men out there who can’t find themselves a partner because they don’t know how to market themselves, basically? But why would these supposed men want such a…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:47 PM
1

Lol you explained something you apparently made up on your own, which is why it doesn’t make sense to anyone but you 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:28 PM
1

Why do you assume it doesn’t apply to lots of women then?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:18 PM

Well at least we know why women don’t want you 😌
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:18 PM
17

Nope, it literally means that you’re overwhelmed with all the messages
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 01:16 PM
1

The fact that your body react to physical stimulation doesn’t mean that you find someone attractive. What part of that don’t you get? Or is it a question of consent perhaps? Do someone need to be completely sober for it to count?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 04:06 PM
1

Well then how come I myself slept with a guy just last week that I wasn’t sexually attracted to whatsoever? People have been known to orgasm while being raped, are you saying it has to be because those people were sexually attracted to their perpetrators?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 04:00 PM
1

It’s very much possible to have sex with someone you’re not attracted to, man or woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 01:30 PM
1

Whatever it is you believe in that makes you say you’re “very liberal”, that’s what I’m referring to. “Nice guys”, as in guys that as a principle just want to be nice rarely end up being so in the long run, since being nice just for the sake of it is simply a way to adapt yourself based on what you assume someone else wants. Being a good listener, thoughtful, and kind, however, are great qualities, and also what most people generally want since it makes you feel important and like the things you…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/23 10:14 AM
1

Generally because men volunteer more for it, and because there are far fewer risks of long-term reproductive complications than women. That’s bs, and one of the reasons why this keeps being the case. People assumed it would make more sense to do research on men because women were so problematic with all of their hormones. And I’m not only talking about recent research, but mostly historically, back when psychiatrists made up specific diagnoses, like hysteria or nymphomania, to explain behaviours…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/23 10:59 AM
1

Are you suggesting sex and material things are basically the same? Because that’s just dumb
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 10:45 PM
1

You’re basically saying women should go after the typical nice guys who only do the bare minimum. And besides, you wouldn’t have had this discussion if you believed in the things you apparently claim you do
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 10:39 PM
0

Of course, it’s obviously women’s fault that good looking men screw them over. Respect and morals my ass! More like conservatives and old fashioned
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 08:43 PM
1

I don’t need to ask, it’s obvious to me. You’re basically saying what’s been the truth for women since forever but instead apply it to men. Although I suppose you’re only viewing this from your own perspective, meaning it’s only your personal unscientific observations. The fact that the majority of medical research have been made on males and generalised to females, that female products are typically more expensive than the exact same product that’s made for men, and the fact that history is ent…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 05:07 PM
3

I believe this is a really important point that’s easily overlooked
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 04:58 PM
3

And who are these people…?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 04:57 PM
8

What an excellent way to explain this! 😁 I finally understand how even though I want sex and say as much, I don’t enjoy the way a lot of men are treating me 🫤 thanks ☺️
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 04:56 PM
6

Nope, most women would definitely prefer someone who doesn’t tell lies or act deceitfully, the way you suggest.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 04:50 PM
1

Sounds like you’re mixing up men and women lol
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 01:33 AM
3

I think you forgot the “/s” at the end of your comment
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/23 10:54 PM
7

There’s soooo many things our brains are wired to do or not do, how’s it always when men act creepy that it suddenly becomes impossible to change?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/23 10:53 PM
1

There’s not even a discussion to win ffs, you’re just making things up based on your own made up hypothetical scenarios 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/23 01:11 PM
1

I mean sure, if you’re using those kinds of far reaching examples 🤷‍♀️ but why would these very specific examples be considered valid and undetected crimes aren’t? Falsely accusing someone is a crime as well btw, how come that’s okay to use? It seems like you’re just choosing examples that fit into your own narrative, and ignore all of those that doesn’t. Several of these things apply to the US and nowhere else. That’s a broken and faulty country in a million different ways and honestly a bad ex…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 11:44 PM
0

I’d like to try though. To do that though, I’ll need for you to give an example as to what you mean when you say that a woman can ruin a man’s life so easily, how that isn’t illegal and why that is.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 04:05 PM

But if the women in the described scenarios can leave whenever she wants, why can’t the men in these ones?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 03:45 PM
1

Well not all crimes are detected, so why’s that not relevant? Men can rape women and get away with it, no harm done on themselves while the woman’s life is ruined.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 03:43 PM
1

Meaning far from all women can just “get a man”. All women aren’t sexual beings and can’t just push a button to turn it on 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 03:40 PM
1

“Women good victims”, “men bad perpetrators” How convenient. Nobody said it was convenient, that’s your interpretation of it 🤷‍♀️ If men get to be judged about their “problematic” porn consumption, surely women can be judged for consuming by literal RAPE porn. If men watch weird porn while women have thoughts about things that concern themselves, then yes, it should be treated differently. Acting on one’s fantasies by going as far as watching it is one step closer to actually doing it. And the f…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 12:47 PM

That’s pretty true of humanity in general though so what’s your point? I mean good social skills and beauty tend to make us feel good, why wouldn’t it be sought after by everyone? I’d definitely disagree when it comes to wealth though. Generally speaking it takes a certain type of person to gather wealth or to have grown up with wealth. Because of that it’s wanted by far from every woman, but rather a specific type of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 12:33 PM

How’s that an answer to my question? 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 12:21 PM

Group level characteristics are also just that - on a group level. It’s an average and was never supposed to be used as an exact truth of how individual women behave, that’s a misuse of data and a false conclusion
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 10:08 AM
1

So you’re saying women who use the same app and act the same way on that app are similar? I don’t think anyone questions this point, but rather the claim that it’d represent all women
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 10:06 AM

If sex isn’t cheating, according to you, then what is?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/23 10:03 AM
1

The big difference is that while women typically fantasise about things that are done to them, men typically fantasise about things they wanna do to someone else. It doesn’t tell shit about how women’s sexual arousal work. If you’ve bothered to read up on the subject further, you would’ve realised that it’s a very distinct group of women who are actually interested in trying rape play at all. As with men, these are typically people with extroverted personalities, lots of money, risk taking behav…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/23 03:15 PM
1

Yea, unfortunately I have to work with people like you and need to understand them better, how stupid it may possibly be 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 08:54 PM
1

Wow. You sure are stuck in a rabbit hole 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 08:48 PM
1

Okay let’s say I was wrong then; now would you explain why it matters?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 08:37 PM
1

You’re confusing most with majority, dude
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 08:30 PM
1

That’s still not most women 😅 even if this was true, what’s even your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 08:26 PM
1

Yea and I never said there wasn’t any women who wanted these types of things, because there is. I don’t agree it’s mostly women though, since I’ve had A LOT of messages where men wanted to do CNC with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 08:22 PM
1

You claimed women don’t fantasize about rape. I proved otherwise. Nope, I only said that you seem to believe that most women fantasise about being raped. I’m not saying there’s no women who do, I’m only saying that it’s not what most women do. You are going to desperately try to hand wave away inconvenient truths about women’s sexuality by using all kinds of weaseling and I’m not going to bite. I mean based on your earlier comment I doubt you know much about the general few things that’s true fo…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 07:53 PM
1

Yea, people like you always talk like that whenever it’s research you don’t understand 😌 the key here is to define what it means to “fantasise” about something. Unless that’s defined and explained clearly, it’s impossible to measure correctly. There you go, I did your work for you Edit: grammar
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 07:33 PM
3

Yea I’ve read studies on it as well, particularly one from last year that looked on earlier studies. It showed that there’s a problem in how “fantasise” is defined; what it actually refers to and what the meaning of it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 07:21 PM
5

Ah yes here comes the deliberate obtuseness Nope, I honestly wanna know what it’s supposed to be unless it’s emotions. “We never said we weren’t emotionally driven!!” Yes. Yes women did claim that their attraction and desire is a sort of meritocracy or how “kind and emotionally available” a man is. RP has been telling men about how to spike women’s emotions and create excitement. Women at best use flowery language to make their own primal instincts sound like high minded virtuous calculations. I…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 07:10 PM
3

What else, if not emotions, would sexual attraction be driven by? 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/23 06:52 PM
1

All that says is that those men are just as broken and unwell as the women mentioned.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:52 PM
1

Perhaps to shallow men who only want sex. All it means is that those men find the women desirable, but that’s it. They don’t view those women as people, only fucktoys.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 02:46 PM
1

You still haven’t explained what “physically manlier” is supposed to mean. All I hear you say is that Tate has facial hair, likes to beat people up, have a receding hairline, and a weird looking chin whereas I know Gates is generous, intelligent, respectable and so on. Conclusion: Gates is way more of a man than Tate will ever be. However, I suspect that you’re only referring to who can get the most young women for casual sex, rather than who’s the most masculine and just generally great. But tb…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 01:35 PM
2

Perhaps to you but that doesn’t mean it’s true for everyone. The fact that you keep insisting that those women are hot means you’re likely even more broken than they are. Only difference is that they’re self destructive while men like you are destructive to others.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 12:59 PM
1

He’s physically manlier? Wtf does that even mean? XD
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 12:50 PM
1

Yea and also wear all that makeup because they can’t stand to look at themselves without it because after all of those years of sexual assault and/or abuse, of hearing how worthless they are, they now hate themselves. That’s the type of women who chooses to be with someone like Tate, because they don’t believe they deserve anything else 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 11:23 AM
1

Well there’s millions of women in the world after all. A “hella lot” isn’t necessarily that many compared to the ones who isn’t like that, it’s likely even less than historically 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 11:08 AM
0

And very broken ones
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 10:53 AM
3

And those are often girls/women from poor backgrounds, such as victims of sexual assault or child abuse, who believe that’s all their good for. Those women aren’t the rule, they’re the exception and the ones who sadly see their value in men’s opinions of them. They seek validation and approval first and foremost and mistakenly believe that’s what they’ll get when they go after those men
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/23 10:52 AM
1

Lol that’s just depressing in itself 😆 but tbh, who wouldn’t be feeling depressed living in such a country? Seems to me like it’s more likely wealthy people who aren’t depressed and poor people who are. Same thing with those who are knowledgeable enough to not what’s actually going in and those who aren’t. Anyways, what’s the point? Why mention the political affiliations in this context? It’s completely irrelevant, whether it’s true or not 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 08:44 AM
1

Well that’s not what you said in the first place and not what this was about.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 10:19 PM
1

That study was made on adolescents. How’s that relevant in this context? Or perhaps you’ve been talking about that specific demographic all along, not actual adults?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 10:18 PM
1

Again, if that’s a large part of it then how do explain orgasms that happen as a result of masturbation?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 10:06 PM
1

Lol no, that’s the definition of the word. You can believe what you want but at least don’t pretend like it’s something it’s not
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 10:05 PM
1

Sexual compatibility has to do with preferences, i.e. likes and dislikes, not how much a person are able to cum.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 10:00 PM
1

Wow 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 09:54 PM
1

The point is that penetration is not necessary at all for pleasure…But clitoral stimilation gives orgasm without penetration. So penetration is obsolete. Why are you telling me this exactly…? This obviously varies between women. Some can cum from clitoral stimulation alone, some from vaginal (which in turn could mean several different types of stimulation as well), and some from anal. Some need only one type of stimulation, others need two or more. It varies 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 09:50 PM
1

Whatever dude, sounds more like you’re blaming women who aren’t able to cum with you instead of trying to understand them
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 09:43 PM
2

Yea, because sex is obviously always consensual and must feel good for it to result in a pregnancy /s
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:21 PM
1

That’s what makes it so sad, you’re only 31 and already acting like a boomer
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:20 PM
1

You believe it has to do with a lack of attraction, huh? So the reason a large portion of women don’t have orgasm is because they don’t sleep with men they find attractive enough? Then how does it work when women orgasm on their own?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:19 PM
1

So do you like interview women about their ability to orgasm before you sleep with them then?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:18 PM
1

Yes, it’s obviously only liberal women who struggle with mental health issues, I’m sure there’s been studies where political affiliation and mental health was studied and compared. Very believable! /s
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:17 PM
0

You avoid women like that? 😆 sure, buddy!
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:16 PM
1

It’s the combination of different types of stimulation that does it, the same way several areas on the penis, other than the head, is sensitive. And lots of men are able to focus on two things at once just a fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:14 PM
1

It’s their interpretation of it
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 08:11 PM
2

Yes, that’s actually what it is - the norm
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 03:42 PM
2

But do you consider it as wanting sex even if people don’t end up having sex, like is it essentially about sex drive or the number of people one actually end up having sex with?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/23 12:15 PM
3

Why’s it weird to have to work to get an orgasm as a woman, like what’s your point? It takes me 45-60 minute for instance 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/23 10:01 PM
5

Men and women have different ideas of what they consider to be attractive though. I for one aren’t happy with my body shape for instance but at the same time know it’s what men tend to like 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 09:26 AM
1

Not really true, since there’s a bunch of other factors that are important as well, including the way you present yourself
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 09:24 AM
1

Well to me it sure feels like a mystery since I’ve only just now got told by anyone that I might be even a little attractive. I never really listened to it before since I didn’t feel like it applied to me anyway. Having it explained this way also makes a difference and easily to fully understand.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/23 09:22 AM
6

Like the ideal masculine man for instance, he tends to be described differently by men and women, both looks and personality wise
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:49 PM
0

I agree, suddenly realising a woman uses social media a lot, wear a lot of makeup, or have had sex with a certain number of men are things that make some men react in this seemingly sudden way as well
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:26 PM
2

Or just women about men ffs
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:23 PM
7

Except the kind of men in this sub and most women have different ideas of what it means to be masculine
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:23 PM
3

Since when is cheating anything but upsetting?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 03:22 PM
1

Not the least since you obviously don’t know what your talking about 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:53 PM
1

Lol what’s your problem, dude? 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:45 PM
1

Lol “political correctness” was made up if conservatives, it means nothing. And neither does your made up irrelevant crap
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 07:41 PM
1

Finland was part of Sweden for hundreds of years and a large population of Finns even have Swedish as their first language. Stop lecturing me about something you obviously don’t know nothing about. Sweden and Finland share a common history. It’s got nothing to do with “race”, it’s a cultural phenomenon.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:19 PM
1

That’s the language, it’s got nothing to do about any race kind of crap
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:15 PM
1

Well Finland isn’t a part of Scandinavia anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 06:06 PM
1

That’s usually the way it is here though. Idk who you’ve talked to but the way you describe it, spending time together and actually caring, that’s what it often is
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 05:51 PM

The biggest difference between the way we view sexual encounters and the way Americans seem to view it, is that women don’t get to be a part of the game. We don’t act like it’s something it isn’t. How’s honesty worse than lying and pretending? At least both parties know what they get. Or perhaps you’re one of those men who believe that different rules should apply to men and women? Men are allowed to sleep around all they want but as soon as a woman have sex for fun she’s a dirty slut, is that i…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:48 PM

I obviously can. But I suppose anything I say will pretty much be irrelevant to you anyway because of our apparent sex related differences. Men think logically and women emotionally, right? 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 04:39 PM
2

I appreciate it, thanks. :) also seems like you know more than most Americans then :P other notable Swedish people and businesses are Carl von Linné, Tim “Avicii” Bergling, Tove Lo, Felix “Pewdiepie” Kjellberg, Spotify, Volvo, and H&M.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 02:50 PM
3

I don't have a general view on a specific group of refugees based solely on their origin
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:26 PM
3

It's called cultural values, don't need to show you a study to prove that. All you need to know is a bit about the culture here
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:24 PM
3

Replication is a quantitative concept, meaning it's irrelevant in qualitative research
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:23 PM
6

Altruism and equality between the sexes are Swedish cultural norms though. So is equal parental leave, a disinterest for getting married, and a general lack of old christian shit like how virgins are better since they're more pure and innocent
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:22 PM
3

No...? Never heard of such a thing
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:19 PM
4

An equal
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:15 PM
2

Worse in what way...?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:14 PM
-2

Yea, sex isn't as much of a taboo here as in the states. Although the type of women who would agree to casual sex are a specific group on its own as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:12 PM
2

Dude, education is free here, it's not a big deal. That's just one of several examples of things that absolutely can be generalised since it's a fact that apply to the country as a whole. Also, unlike you I never claimed to speak for everyone, only the vast majority. Stop making shit up
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:08 PM
5

I never said anything about the sample size, i.e. the women. I'm saying one man, who used very general and highly interpretative attributes, cannot be used as an example on anything. Same goes for the fact that he uses himself as both a participant and a researcher, meaning there's no credability in the conclusions. Yea, as a Swedish woman who grew up in Sweden, lives in Sweden, are fluent in Swedish and studied Swedish social politics and Swedish law, I have a vastly different knowledge of Swed…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 01:03 PM
1

That’s natural science and this is social science - far from the same principles apply
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 10:19 AM
8

Ever heard of sociology? Cultural anthropology? Social psychology? No I didn’t think you had, because I that case you wouldn’t ask these questions
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 10:19 AM
1

Based on what? Unless you have a fairly good idea of what makes women swipe a certain way then no
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 10:13 AM
5

Nope, I can speak for everyone who have the same values as me, which is the vast majority of Swedish women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 10:05 AM
0

Because you claim the result can be generalisable to other men with the same type of attributes, meaning you’d have to assume that’s the reason the women swiped
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 10:03 AM
8

I can speak for the general culture here. And if you’re the type of person that agrees with all of this we’re very happy to hear you don’t want us either since it means we don’t have to put up with people like you
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:59 AM
-1

Bullshit, because you don’t know why women did or did not swipe on him 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:55 AM
-6

As someone else said earlier, OP is only one person, meaning the results only speak for him, if even that. It can’t be used to conclude anything about anyone else
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:51 AM
-4

Well your opinion don’t matter because the validity and reliability is low no matter what you believe
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:45 AM

Not with a crappy attitude, no
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:41 AM
6

Swedish woman here! It’s not a bias against Americans, it’s more likely the fact that we don’t like your kind of behaviour, the way you described that you present yourself. We’re not a fan of that kind of attitude in men, same goes for so called “traditional gender roles” 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:40 AM
1

Whatever dude, I’m sick of you anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:20 AM
1

Again, that only proves your stupidity. Suddenly changing the topic without communicating it with the other doesn’t prove you right, it just means you changed the rules of the game. Who wouldn’t win if they were the only ones who knew that the rules changed?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:13 AM
1

Lol you think you’re making fun of me? Sweetie, all you’re doing is proving how clueless you really are 😌
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 09:01 AM
1

Sounds like you know everything! Please, enlighten me with these so called “basic sex differences”
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:45 AM
0

There’s no such thing as general personality differences between the sexes. You would’ve known that if you’d read basically any recent study on this
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:44 AM
1

Basic psychology based on what theoretical perspective? Psychodynamic? Cognitive? Biological?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:43 AM
1

You asked me how to prove it though, not whether or not it’s true. Those are two very different things 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/23 08:41 AM
1

I’m not a natural scientist though, and this isn’t a natural scientific subject, meaning it’s irrelevant
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 10:24 PM
1

I keep telling you the same thing over and over and you keep saying different things. I’m not the one with a short memory, dude
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 10:20 PM
1

And now you’re back to generalisation once again…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:41 PM
1

It doesn’t matter what I believe or not, it’s about whether you can prove your point or if you just made them up 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:40 PM
1

Yea, sure seems like it 😌
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 06:53 PM
1

And once again it’s only your personal opinions and not facts, meaning it’s irrelevant
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 04:36 PM
1

You didn’t make any point though, you’ve just mashed up different ideas and hypothesis and act like you made a point. There’s no point to be made because you don’t have any evidence to support anything
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 04:35 PM
0

I’m not just talking about accusations though, and I have a feeling neither did the moron before me
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 04:30 PM

It might be too complex for you to handle, but yes that’s exactly why
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 10:18 AM
1

And what makes you believe this, I mean what do you mean by “take more than they give”?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 10:17 AM

Women are like that sometimes because men can get violent when they’re being rejected
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:45 AM
1

Of course it is, there’s still no qualitative research, meaning it’s only probability based general guesses 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:35 AM
-3

I mean yea of course it is, at least if this is who represent ‘men’ in the context.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 08:33 AM
1

It’s a qualitative concept, which definitely is relevant in an argument that’s about qualitative phenomenons, like attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:45 AM
1

And as I said in my response above, it’s about the examples you used, not your own experiences or opinions. You’ve also stated earlier that this wasn’t an attempt to generalise to a bigger group of women, but now you’re claiming the opposite. So which is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:44 AM
1

Your experience is that women are attracted to men that take more than they give?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:41 AM
1

As I said in a different comment: I’m only talking about the social sciences, not the natural or technical sciences.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:40 AM
1

I’m obviously talking about social science, not natural or technical sciences. And in the social sciences this is very much true.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:38 AM
-3

Source?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:34 AM
5

So why would any woman believe what men say about women…?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/23 07:30 AM
1

Feel free to enlighten me then
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 08:32 PM
1

So your point is that it’s only a deep connection if both parties feel the same way, and since you can’t guarantee someone else’s feelings it’s bs?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:26 PM
1

What I mentioned earlier, about using these men as examples, it doesn’t really say much about women since it’s from the men’s perspective. If, however, you’d find something which shows that women prefer these types of personality traits over others, then you can say something about women and women’s preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:23 PM
1

Fair point, I’m woman enough to admit when I’m wrong. I suppose I simply don’t see any relevance in the field, nor do I in most types of psychology anymore. Seems like it’s mostly just used in a way to put individuals at fault when it’s in reality much bigger and more complex processes at hand.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:20 PM
0

The point is that extreme in one direction is better than extreme in another direction. Thats all, there is no deeper meaning to it. But who are you to decide that for women? It’s only your interpretation of this, nobody else’s. How so? Because that’s not what women are attracted to, quite the opposite.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:14 PM
1

You questioned whether or not it showed. I gave you an example of this. It’s not even about having self awareness if you’re reading someone else’s behaviour.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:02 PM
2

I’m sure you don’t, but that’s still what you’re doing
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:01 PM
0

I’m not using them to generalize. What’s your point of bringing them up then, unless you’re trying to somehow prove how women act? To me a bad boy is someone who takes more than he gives. Vice versa for good guy. Well if that’s your definition of a bad boy, your hypothesis is false
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 06:00 PM
1

Yea, I studied psychology too, as well as sociology, and social anthropology and what I’m saying is that quantitative studies are only ever able to show correlation. It creates hypothesis that can only be proved true or false, it doesn’t provide any actual explanations as to why people act a certain way, only qualified guesses.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:54 PM
1

I’m not even gonna read that since it ignores everything qualitative research. Social science isn’t the same as natural science and quantitative research can therefore only tell a very small part of the story.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:36 PM
2

“Actions speak louder than words”, so yes, you can tell.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:21 PM
1

I’m asking if it’s correct to assume that you’re misrepresenting data
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:20 PM
-2

But that’s the thing about exceptions - they’re exceptions, as in irrelevant to the population at large! You can’t generalise that at all, it tells you absolutely nothing. What’s a bad boy to you then? Because to women it’s basically someone who are exciting and challenging rather than someone who just takes them for granted.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:18 PM
5

Because it’s not possible to falsify. You can’t make any experiments like you can in any other comparable disciplines.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 05:12 PM
0

Yes you need a source for that, at least if you’re claiming it as facts rather than your irrelevant opinion. Is there even any sources other than evolutionary psychology? That’s basically pseudoscience as evidence goes
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:54 PM
0

About preferring dominant men lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:36 PM
-2

Even if it wasn't the women's choice in the past. It is their choice now and women choose dominant and taller than average men. Source…?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 04:13 PM
1

I answered that exact question my last sentence.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:08 PM
14

1-2. The first study you referenced only focused on height, and it’s also the one that produced the numbers in your second point. It doesn’t say anything, it’s only based on evolutionary psychology which is a problematic discipline which hypothesis are well known for being impossible to test or falsify. Researches don’t know for sure why women historically preferred tall men. What studies do say, however, is that the strongest and most dominant men were the ones who most women got pregnant with.…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 03:06 PM
3

A genuine deep connection mean that you actually like each other, not just the idealised picture of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 02:42 PM
3

Are you arguing that women like these traits because the men you chose as examples managed to attract women, or based of women? See that makes a big difference, what perspective you’d choose. You don’t know how many women these creeps scared away for instance, only that some stayed 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 02:41 PM
10

And they likely also attract mentally ill women. I thought these types of discussion were supposed to be about the majority, not the few exceptions?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/23 02:37 PM
1

Nope, we usually just call it for what it is: social democracy
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 11:29 PM
2

Perhaps to an American, but not to the rest of us
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 08:47 PM
2

Liberalism is an economic ideology though and far closer to conservatism than social democracy for instance.
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 07:33 PM
1

How do you mean?
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 07:25 PM
1

Humans do it, it’s not a gendered issue. I’m saying we all find it hard unless we’ve been taught what to look for, no matter if it’s men or women. Most women and most men choose to date normal men and women, only a few choose criminals and it’s usually the ones who are criminals themselves.
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 07:23 PM
1

Or, oooor, it’s the patriarchy that’s the cause of everything you just complained about…? 😱
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 07:16 PM
-2

millions of women's experiences well in that case you need to present qualitative studies, otherwise it's just...well, nothing and completely irrelevant.
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:35 PM
-2

I was just thinking the same. Pathetic
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:33 PM
1

What about women who falsely accuse you of rape, are you saying men didn't choose them?
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:30 PM
0

How do you suggest women pick the so called "good men" then and where are women supposed to learn this? How's this different from men who choose horrible girlfriends, usually the same type of women that we learned as girls to stay away from?
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:29 PM
1

Why would you believe it's only women? That's how most people are. Most people suck at supporting others when they show any kind of insecurity or vulnerability. Why take it out specifically on women?
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:26 PM
1

Sure, among women who didn't grow up with parents who taught them they're good enough the way they are, meaning a small minority of women. Why's it worth mentioning those few examples?
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:21 PM
1

Sure, women who grew up in the same circumstances or priviliged bored women. They're hardly the majority, so why even mention it?
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:19 PM
1

I mean if this is the kinda crap men try to convince us of, who wouldn't rather believe a woman...?
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:14 PM
2

What do you mean when you claim that those men are "all more masculine and romantic"? Those are also way more conservative cultures overall, which is why it definitely makes sense to pick the taller men (according to your interpretation).
/r/AllPillDebate11/07/23 06:12 PM
1

I’m asking you a question using your own reasoning 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 10:30 PM
1

Lol no I’m not, that’s your idea of what this is about. I’m saying it’s not, and I’m also saying it’s not only about women. Are you also the type of person who believe it’s women’s fault when they’re raped if they were wearing revealing clothing? They made a choice after all and should’ve been aware of the dangers it’d mean, at least according to your logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 09:56 PM
1

Justifying what…? So your idea of a discussion is just making things up…? Unless you back statements up with actual evidence it’s irrelevant anyway. Arguments about what? There’s not even substance enough to discuss anything! As long as you use “all women” kind of arguments there’s no point, because all women is obviously not the same anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 09:35 PM

That completely depends on the definition of what it means to be forced, having options, the possibility to make a choice and so on.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 08:50 PM
1

Well all this shows is your depressing view of humanity. This has never been about accountability or laziness because it’s irrelevant. You’re just making things up with no credibility whatsoever, meaning it’s once again only your opinions 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 08:48 PM
1

You never said anything about it being a romantic relationship, only sex. If it’s empathy and understanding you’re after you’d be a lot more successful if you didn’t move the goalposts constantly
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 08:42 PM

Nope, you didn’t explain anything. All you did was to state your personal opinions in the matter, with no explanation whatsoever 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 08:40 PM

Being murdered because you don’t wanna sell your body is accountability now? How’s that in any way reasonable consequences?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:57 PM

Stop goalposting, the point concerned the need for money versus the need for sex, nothing else
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:56 PM
1

So? Doesn’t mean it’s most women anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:53 PM

Hugs buddy, that’s physical intimacy. And it’s called neuroscience btw
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:52 PM
1

Why assume this is true for all women though? Seems to me like it’s men who assume there’s something wrong with you if you haven’t had sex at a certain age. I get this question from men constantly, like they have a hard time understanding why a woman who’s not ugly haven’t had sex yet at age 28. Women never do that, only men.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:08 PM

It depends on your definition of sex, and most importantly, what it is those men actually feel a need of; is it cumming? Then yes, you can absolutely do it yourself. Is it physical intimacy? Then no, they can’t do it on their own, but if this is the case it would be a whole lot easier to get it since it works just as well with friends and in a non sexual way. So what if some woman calls you a weirdo? Plenty of men call women sluts for having casual sex, but those women keep doing it anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:05 PM

Because sex isn’t necessary to survive, food is. And if someone have such a debilitating sex drive they can buy and use toys to fulfil their sexual needs.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 01:01 PM

Yea, because gangs will definitely not murder any of the women who tell them they want out. /s 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 12:58 PM

What’s your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 12:56 PM

Exactly, why’s this so hard to get? It’s not a right to have sex ffs 🤦‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 12:55 PM

You really don’t get it, do you? It’s not about men Vs women in this, it’s about the fact that the vast majority of sex workers aren’t selling their bodies because that’s their dream job or anything, it’s a strategy to fight organised crime. Obviously it’s still illegal to buy sexual services then, because it makes it possible for criminals to make money on forcing women to work for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/23 12:54 PM

Wow, if this is how most other women work, I don’t think I’ll ever feel comfortable going on a date again 😳
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 05:11 PM
1

I’m confused, what do you claim to get but don’t agree with?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/23 01:38 PM
4

So why complain on the type of women you dislike rather than the men who enables them to act that way?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 03:17 PM
4

Okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 04:13 PM
2

What does a “perfectly normal dude” mean to you then?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 11:30 AM
6

This! I’m so sick of “women don’t like nice guys”, it’s so dumb and such a load of crap!
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/23 11:29 AM
1

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/07/23 07:44 AM
1

Personally, I’m not sure I’d even want to commit to a man I was sexually attracted to, or who was sexually attracted to me. I wouldn’t want to have sex with someone who fits what I’m looking for in a partner. It just feels wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 07:30 PM
1

I completely agree with you
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 04:43 PM
1

Question is whether it’d make women depressed as a result of the difference or the lack of attention on its own. Impossible to say 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 03:02 PM
3

What’s your point? Only a small minority of women even use Tinder anyway. It doesn’t prove anything whether this is true or not
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 03:01 PM
1

And I think that’s how the male brain mostly think. Knowing there’s men who’d be willing to sleep with you is in no way validating if those men makes you feel terrified to walk among strangers.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 02:53 PM
3

First off, I said most women either don’t want it or don’t know how to get there. You’re either naïve or plain stupid if you don’t think there’s hundreds of things that has to happen between match and fuck. All women aren’t social butterflies or feel comfortable enough in their body for instance. Or they’re virgins and don’t wanna risk doing it with someone who’ll abuse them. The risks of meeting a random man on the internet are also a lot greater for women compared to men. Generally, just becau…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 02:51 PM
3

But why’s your idea of what it’d be like for women if they wanted casual sex relevant in that case?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 02:44 PM
8

And most women either don’t want it or don’t know how to get it. What’s your point? It’s just hypothetical on top of more hypothetical.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/23 02:39 PM
19

They don’t explain it, they tell men their own interpretation of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 09:29 PM
2

Why would a man who could afford to provide for an ugly or unpleasant woman do so? He would reasonably have better options 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/23 06:03 PM
6

No thanks, I’m no longer interested in this subject.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 05:50 PM
7

It’s your interpretation of the data I’m questioning, not the data itself. The place we sold was only 1/10 of the price of what we bought on the countryside. But I mean you’re correct, most women live in the cities. They’re also more likely to be approved as tenants considering men are directly affected of most social problems. That’s exactly what women are doing when it’s possible though. And it’s not about women not wanting or needing men, but the fact that they’re not interested, and wouldn’t…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:58 PM
1

Average height in men is approximately 6 feet here, and women care a lot less about height here compared to the US. Same goes for an average body concerning weight - only 12 percent of the population here are considered to be obese. In other words it’s all relative
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:22 PM
12

Why…? It doesn’t prove anything 🤷‍♀️ I was raised by a single mother myself, and our economy was better after dad died, not worse. We lived in a house on the countryside, no issues whatsoever. And this is true for many women here. There’s also of course families where there’s to mothers, and they do fine - no man’s needed. Lol I work in the social services and the majority of people in need of economical support are single men, not women.

And this is why some of us also choose to dress ‘ugly’ to escape the attention of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:12 PM

So you’re saying that big butts are what women consider to be the most attractive? Or an hourglass figure? Or full lips? Or a big chest? These are all typically male ideas of attractiveness. The fact that women embraced it doesn’t mean it’s because of womens’ beauty standards to begin with. It just means that women were smart enough to accept it as their own.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:10 PM

Since when is a healthy body an unreasonable standard…?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/23 04:06 PM

This is what we’re taught in university in disciplines like sociology for instance, a notoriously male dominated field. Women, just as men, generally want a partner that actually care for them, not be forced into marriage. Men have provided for women historically because women weren’t allowed to do that by themselves. Now we do. Unless men accept the fact that they’re no longer needed for womens’ survivability, they’ll likely stay single. It’s not that hard to get. And the fact that that’s your …

And most innocent non criminal murder, rape or severely assaulted victims are women. Quantity isn’t the same as quality

Lol, sounds like what you're describing is basically thinking
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/23 04:58 PM

Yea you’re basically describing reflexivity. Probably different theories as well, wouldn’t surprise me.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/23 06:11 PM

That wasn’t the question though
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/23 01:05 PM

Lol are you for real? I can still have sex alone, it’s called masturbation
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/23 08:03 PM

You’re not looking at it holistically, you’re looking at it from a male perspective and with the belief that you can put away all of your feelings
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/23 12:37 AM
2

Of course, obviously all women act the same way and for the same reasons /s
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/23 12:36 AM

Yea this is dumb, because it’s basically just a description of personality traits, not differences between men and women
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/23 12:34 AM

Lol no I definitely don’t, I’m European and most of us stay away from that kinda crap

Sure, but evolutionary biology is also basically pseudoscience. It can neither be tested or falsified

I agree, and I personally believe this to be true of several things, including but not limited to, being oversensitive, overanalysing, overthinking etc. To me, it’s simply a way for people who generalise too much too put others down, either because they don’t understand or because they’re jealous

“Introspection is the examination of one's own conscious thoughts and feelings. In psychology, the process of introspection relies on the observation of one's mental state, while in a spiritual context it may refer to the examination of one's soul. Introspection is closely related to human self-reflection and self-discovery and is contrasted with external observation.” Yea, I’d definitely say women tend to be more introspective m. To examine why one feel the way they do, you have to introspect. …

Okay, follow up questions to this: 1) how do you know if you’re considered attractive? 2) when you say ‘something is wrong about you’, what kind of wrong are we talking about? 3) why do you believe ‘waiting for someone you feel comfortable with’ isn’t one of the options?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/23 03:27 PM

Yes, I’m aware that those are both theoretical perspectives. But again, what’s toxic about pointing out how treating women like lesser people is a problem?

1

Haha nice to meet you, my type! 😁
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/23 03:18 PM

Okay, then let me ask you this: I’m a virgin and I enjoy sex. Does this mean I’m not marriage material according to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/23 02:58 PM
1

Do you mean it’s a result of an inherent cognitive difference between males and females, or rather a learned behaviour that’s the result of a social construct? And if it’s learned, what do you mean would be the benefit of such a behaviour?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/23 01:07 PM
-2

I wouldn’t say it has to do with one being more correct than the other, it’s more like different ways. I see how it may seem like women are right and men are wrong, but it’s rather that women are generally much more introspective, and therefore it feels like women are doing it correctly. It’s much more complex than this, since this more theoretical explanation is supposed to be separate from the typically female and male communication style respectively, not value one as better or more correct t…

I think this is a very simplified way of thinking and therefore leaves out a lot of important factors. After studying psychology and sociology, it seems to be more about the fact that women are taught early on how to cope with their negative emotions. Therefore they’re better equipped to deal with breakups than most men. In my personal experience though, having suffered the loss of a loved one early on in life, most people are completely unprepared for big life altering changes, like the loss of…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/23 12:47 PM

Not at all. Women see more different dimensions than men, that’s why it all seems like complaints to men. To women it’s simply several different ways of communicating. If you perceive it all like complaints, then it’s most likely because she has to basically mother you, because you yourself have a tendency to interpret even neutral and informative communication as complaints, or because she has a communication style that’s easily misinterpreted as complaining.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/23 12:39 PM
1

Huh, well that’s totally fine by me! In fact it’s a great way to avoid exactly the kind of people I want nothing to do with. Funny how this would turn out to be a great idea!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:52 PM
2

Thank you! How nice that you view it as wholesome. I tend to feel like I’m boring or prudish because I haven’t done it yet. ☺️ I definitely feel lucky to be a woman in that sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:47 PM
1

Yea I think I get what your saying. I’m 28 btw, and I’m in university right now, the second time. First time was between the ages of 21 and 24. Never been in a relationship though, I’d definitely have done it by then. Maybe the problem simply is that I’m mostly approached by men who only want sex, because that happens quite some time, or they simply want intimacy. Yea, I could never see myself like be naked with just anyone. It doesn’t feel good at all, it’s way too personal. Well, I guess it’s …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:44 PM

I don’t think I’ll ever be able understand why men believe basically all women can get sex so easily. To me it sounds so stupid. All women aren’t the same, meaning all women aren’t able to woo men. It simply makes no sense! It’s not necessarily easy for someone only because it’s more difficult for you compared to them. What exactly is it that’s supposedly ‘wrong’ with you in this context? Are we talking about like some kind of physical deficiency like a missing toe, or more like mental health is…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:36 PM

I never claimed it was only kindness either. It’s the combination, and the way you present it to people.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:25 PM
1

Your point that it’s weird how men expect women to stay virgins and that women feel like this is setting double standards unless you do the same yourself? In what way do you think I proved your point? You asked why it was offensive to tell women that you think it’s okay for men to enjoy sex but not for women, and I answered.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:22 PM
2

Of course! I personally believe we all owe each other to at least be open minded 😊
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 05:07 PM
2

Oh okay! I wasn’t aware of that, sorry 😅 dyslexia kinda make you wanna read as little as possible ☺️
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 05:02 PM

Yes, exactly this! I agree with all of your points; 1. most women irl take it as a compliment to be approached 2. most guys approaching isn’t creepy 3. the creepy guys are basically always old 4. men your own age seem scared to even look at you 5. so many matches on Tinder but no one wants to talk I feel like you’ve solved an old mystery of mine 🥹
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 05:00 PM
13

I absolutely agree! You nailed it, calm, emotionally stable and kind are definitely the main things. Thanks for putting my thoughts into words! 😁
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:55 PM
1

And that flair was…?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:33 PM
1

You never said anything about that, you just asked what I wanted you to do about it and I gave you an answer
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:26 PM
1

And why would that be a reason?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:24 PM
1

So basically self respect, integrity, not being into casual sex, enough physical intimacy from friends and family, as well as being content experimenting sexually on your own wouldn’t be factors men would even consider in the context? Seems odd 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:23 PM
1

Lol they walked right up to you and asked, just like that? 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:18 PM
1

How come?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:16 PM
1

Lol no sorry, I thought we were talking about how women feel about men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:14 PM
1

Interesting perspective 🤔 thanks for an honest answer! I was actually thinking about the fact that if a guy pick up hints as a way to figure out how many you’ve slept with, then how come they apparently never manage to guess correctly in my case (or any case, I used myself as an example since I know my own story)? Follow up question then, why do you think someone would assume you wouldn’t give it up easily if you’re a virgin? Like what are the underlying reasons for making such an assumption?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:13 PM
1

In what way is fatalism implied then? And since RP seem to mostly cause pain, at least more than it resolves, how is this toxic?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:07 PM
1

I don’t follow. Are you saying attractive and good looking are the same? Because interesting, emotionally responsive and intellectually stimulating are what I personally find to be attractive in someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 04:05 PM
2

This is interesting, because a lot of those qualities mentioned are very hard to evaluate by yourself. Like even if you yourself believe you’re a kind person, how would you actually know in what way other people see you? What might seem like an action of kindness to one person may be thought of as something completely different to another person. Even if 10 different people say they look for a certain quality, it doesn’t automatically mean that quality will present itself in a similar way. And b…

Having access to something in theory, isn’t the same as having access in practice though. Men also have access to women, but whenever you point that out it’s suddenly whataboutism
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 01:24 PM
1

That’s a really important point to take into consideration! Like I’m not claiming that I’m beautiful, not because I think I’m ugly but because I don’t think I’m the one who can determine whether I am, but it’s crazy how some men will behave to you sometimes. Like the number of people and honk as they drive by, or dudes who literally are trying to get into your pants on a crowded bus (as in putting their hands in under your shorts, it happens at summertime).
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 01:17 PM
1

Lol not necessarily you personally 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 01:08 PM
3

So intimacy is actually a goal too? I always thought sex was the only thing that counted for pillers. Who would’ve thought!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:22 AM
2

Lol I guess that’s something!
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:17 AM
1

Then how come all the men I’ve ever talked to are completely taken aback when I tell them I’m a virgin?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:17 AM
1

Why is he the toxic one? He doesn’t promote fatalism and factors you can’t actually affect.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:10 AM
6

Not at all, men who lack in social skills are extremely unattractive really
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:06 AM

If that’s the same thing as logic thinking, then yes

/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:04 AM

Why wouldn’t you wanna mix with people who are actually successful though? The dynamics would surely be more diverse and interesting, and you could probably learn a thing or two that could help you trying to find women who are interested in you
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:04 AM

You can’t really interact with a YouTube vid though
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 07:02 AM

I agree, this is what makes a lot of us horny for you
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:59 AM
4

Naah, your points doesn’t really hold up. Kindness, humour and emotional intelligence are absolutely the most important qualities to a lot of us. Other qualities, like charisma and being a good listener for instance can also make you seem way more attractive. And yes, such a mindset IS toxic, because it’s determinant and overwhelmingly based on fatalism. The last part is also true, money, looks, status - it’ll only take you a very short way, maybe not even into a woman’s panties.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:58 AM
2

Not really true, making you feel appreciated or sexy really does a lot more
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:51 AM
1

Naah that’s only true for a very short time in the beginning. If he doesn’t respond in an interesting way, he basically stops being interesting, good looks or not
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:50 AM
1

Yes, that’s exactly what I was wondering! And thanks for giving a reasonable explanation for once, because I’ve been thinking about this quite a lot. And the reason why is because I’m a virgin and I don’t feel like men appreciate that at all, quite the opposite in fact. It’s like they think it’s too big of a responsibility in some way. Do you personally believe it matters if a woman is good looking or not if she tells you she’s a virgin? I’m thinking if it makes it more or less believable in som…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/23 06:12 AM

Apparently you’re not since you’re making up things that doesn’t exist and never have
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 09:44 PM

So what if she chose him? He can’t do that anyway. What do you mean it’s her “duty”, why would it be?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 09:43 PM
1

Good to know, but not really what I was referring to. Although it’s certainly interesting if people actually believe these things are good indications of whether someone have had many sexual partners. Apparently, based on this, I should have a lot of past sexual partners but instead I have had none. What I meant was that because you can’t know someone’s sexual history (unless you ask them obviously) I’m saying it has to be something else that these men are looking for that they believe women wit…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 09:41 PM
1

Tell that to all the women who get raped by their partners
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 09:20 PM
1

Why complain about financial rape then?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 09:14 PM
1

A what now, alpha widow?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 09:12 PM
2

Exactly, it’s not always better to have a lot of choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:57 PM
3

I’m just curious about how something that’s impossible to know, can be so important.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:52 PM
3

Okay, let me rephrase then: how would you know if someone has had casual sex or relationships?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 05:11 PM
3

How would you know what someone’s body count is then?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 05:04 PM
1

Yea this is an important point. Slut have been used as an insult since forever, that’s why it’s so confusing that people keep claiming there’s nothing wrong with it. Well if that’s the case, why use it as an insult??
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 05:00 PM
1

We don’t have that problem here, I don’t have to
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 04:50 PM
0

Good point, not all of us like to go clubbing
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:42 AM
1

So in reality good girls don’t really exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:40 AM
2

Probably part of it is because they’re acting in an ugly way
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:39 AM
3

Lol that’s a great point really
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:38 AM
1

Apparently not, that’s supposedly how you end up a rape victim
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:33 AM
1

Tell that to your government instead, they’re the ones who can change it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:32 AM
1

Yea, you probably have a point, however sad it might be. 🫤
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:30 AM
1

I mean that since you can’t check or in any way confirm how many people someone’s been sleeping with, or if they’re a virgin for that matter, it has to be certain traits or qualities that those men are actually looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:27 AM
0

And that’s supposed to prove anything? I mean except the fact that that fit man apparently has a fetish for old obese women
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:25 AM
1

It was an answer, maybe not the kind of answer you were looking for or the one you wanted, but still an answer
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:23 AM
1

Based on what, statistics? I mean it’s not like women will believe a man is earning an average amount of money unless he actually is. And how would you measure an average in looks or social status for instance?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 07:22 AM
1

Tell that to my 8 inch military fwb, he’ll probably only be happy to get an easy warm up before his actual practice
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 10:48 PM
1

Nope, I mean actual men who take responsibility for their own actions instead of blaming the assault victim. Good day to you!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 10:24 PM
1

Absolutely, and that's what pepperspray and male friends are for
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 08:05 PM
0

Not to everyone. It depends on a lot of things
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 05:20 PM
1

First of all, that’s such a confusing thing to think of lol. Secondly, but I mean average in which area? Like abilities, income, looks?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 05:19 PM
2

“…women will prefer to die alone than ‘waste their best years settling for an average man”. In this context, in which way would a man be considered average?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 04:52 PM
1

The nuclear family didn’t actually become a thing until the 1800s though, it’s a modern invention really
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 04:49 PM
1

I agree, people fall victim to their own biases all the time. How do any of us really know what we’re attracted to? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 04:47 PM
1

What an interesting theory, that the less attractive someone is would also make it the more likely to fall victim of wishful thinking. Care to explain?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 04:45 PM
3

Yea, women typically would prefer to be alone rather than be with someone they don’t find attractive. It’s probably in part because women tend to have emotional support and physical intimacy thanks to friends, which I can imagine isn’t as common for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 04:05 PM
1

I do the same with ADHD I’ve noticed, it’s funny how you seem to be able to attract others just like you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 04:00 PM
2

Really? That’s gotta be a cultural thing lol, I’ve never heard of anyone who didn’t plan their trip carefully and booked hostels way in advance. Funny how different it can be
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:58 PM
1

It takes certain types of personality traits, charisma etc to be able do this as well, not only looks tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:56 PM
2

Lol that makes much more sense if it only concerns looks, not personality or anything else like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 03:54 PM
1

Oh, that old idea. I get this is why men say they don't want women with a high bodycount, but what it is that make men say or believe this in the first place? This is the part that makes me, and probably a lot of other women as well, very confused. What do those men believe it means or will lead to?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 02:35 PM
2

Lol sorry, I didn’t mean I asked you! It was a hypothetical question 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 12:43 PM
2

Yea, and I’m trying to say that I agree with you. Maybe you’re the one who should read more closely
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 12:06 PM
2

Okay, sure. You said that by admitting the fact that abuse from women is common, those women also have to accept the fact that not all women are wonderful, which is something they love to promote. I asked why you'd want to claim all women are wonderful, since it's bullshit. I used the fact that the worse bullies in school often happened to be women as an example to show that it's like the women denying the fact that abuse from women is common, conveniently seem to have forgotten about the existe…

/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 10:23 AM

What do you mean by wanting the benefits of being seen as a chaste woman or virgin? Which benefits?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 10:21 AM

Sure you can, as in you’re allowed to do it, but it doesn’t mean it’s relevant

How’s that trolling? I only discuss things I’m interested and have an opinion about.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 10:18 AM
2

I followed this discussion and I’m so happy I did, because I feel like everything I’ve read from you earlier is completely different now. I honestly thought you, and any other man I’ve come across here who I’ve disagreed with in way way or another, knew about our fear as women to be branded as less than men if we recognised that women are more emotional than men. That’s why I so often question comments where men say this, because to me it’s the same as saying that men are better than women in mo…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 10:14 AM
3

I will say that the SA thing is a little different because other men won't step in and defend men for doing shit like that, whereas women will absolutely celebrate another woman slapping a man who "deserves it". I believe this is a really great point! It sucks that so many women celebrate this kind of abusive behaviour, because it is abusive, whether you believe the person ‘deserved’ it or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 09:40 AM
1

Why would you claim all women are wonderful though? That’s just bullshit! The worse bullies in school were always women. It’s almost like those women are conveniently forgotten
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 09:37 AM
1

You say women are blind to this because they only have themselves as a frame of reference. Do you think the same about men, and that men who act abusive are relatively frequent as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 09:36 AM
1

Women claim most men are abusers? Seems like those women also hang out with the wrong men, if that’s what they believe
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 09:33 AM
0

Why do you yourself believe people point to the difference of a few instances of violent behaviour and someone, like Heard, who’s doing it over and over?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 09:32 AM
8

Why would we be surprised that there’s women being abusive? We know this exist, and it’s stupid to claim otherwise. We also know the reasons for this kind of behaviour is different for men and women, which I think was made pretty clear in the examples stated above.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 09:27 AM
1

And it’s funny because I thought you’d say something like that. And that’s exactly how I mean you’re not taking responsibility but instead expect everyone else to do so.

Making exceptions when celebrities come along doesn’t invalidate the rule if it holds true 99 % of the time.

I see what you’re saying. I’m a bit surprised though that this is something a lot of people would lie about. Like if you’ve made the choice to have sex with x amount of people, then stand up for it. No one forced you to do it, why lie to people about it? And I respect and at least try to understand what that must be like, to risk being forced to be a parent. Especially if that someone is a lier, that can’t be easy. I hope you find your princess one day though, you deserve it!

This is only what I do between breaks of studying actually. It’s a great way to learn argumentative skills as well as how different ways people think.

Sure, but this particular comment was about women
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:28 PM

No, I’m saying it’s a double standard to have opinions of the actions of only one of the sexes

Of course that’s not what the discussion was about, because it’s not a discussion.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:17 PM

Wtf are you talking about? Every woman doesn’t have the need of validation from strangers in social media. And if that’s what you believe, who the fuck cares? You’re one person. Just quit acting like a 14 year old child and take some responsibility for gods sake.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:14 PM

Great conclusion!
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 08:52 PM

And you still don’t believe that’s part of the problem or what? 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 04:46 PM

Why though? It sounds more like a personal preference than a fact, at least to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 04:46 PM

Maybe not a sport, but what’s really the point of it then? (Unless of course you’re trying to get pregnant, I get that much)

I definitely agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 03:54 PM

You didn't really answer the question though, you know. I most definetely wouldn't want someone with no sexual or romantic experience. Why start from zero if you don't have to? And btw, I'm very much a virgin and that's thanks to my principles. It does work really

What about having self respect and at the same time simply being curious of how other people live their lives?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 10:29 AM

How else would you know? Her friends most likely know who she is. Why be such assholes? stop acting like you know what people are like based on nothing but their sex. That shit's so old

Fair point
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:47 AM

What, the internet? I’m pretty sure it’s universal. Being in presumed majority doesn’t mean your issues are all of our issues, especially when in reality it’s far from it 🤷‍♀️ But I find it interesting that you would interpret it this way instead of questioning what it is in the US particularly that result in this happening.

Your point being…?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:39 AM
3

Well that’s just sad, I mean that that’s the result of society. I personally know plenty of women who chose to wait, because they didn’t want to do it with just anyone. They wanted to feel safe, which I totally get because however people might feel about sex, it is after all a very vulnerable position to put oneself in. This reason for still being a virgin, that you want to wait rather than simply do it with the first dude that hits on you, is my first thought when I about someone being a virgin…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:38 AM
1

How’s that the same thing even? Posting a butt only picture and posting a picture of you on a beach somewhere in a bikini, how’s that comparable? Why is it always our job to think of all the billion possible ways someone else might interpret what pictures we put up on our instagram or whatever? And you still somehow complain women overthink things 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:28 AM

It certainly does. I’m so sorry it happened to you ❤️
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 09:22 AM

So now this is a community for men only or for rape advocates only? I’m pretty sure it’d be better if you jumped over to whatever sad place it is you people go to to celebrate rapists because they put a woman in her place, or whatever twisted crap you believe in.

“In its narrow meaning, patriarchy refers to the system, historically derived from Greek and Roman law, in which the male head of the household had absolute legal and economic power over his dependent female and male family members. "Patriarchy in its wider definition means the manifestation and institutionalization of male dominance over women and children in the family and the extension of male dominance over women in society in general." (Lerner, 1986).

I get that. I’m not trying to defend the horrible way some women treat men who are just trying to be nice to them. My point is that in the end, all you can do is to accept that things suck and try to make the best out of it. It’s a way to take back the power of your own life. I’m well aware of the fact that it’s not as easy as it sounds, trust me, but things that are worth having rarely are easy to get. Use all of the energy that is now wasted on hate, and mobilise more people and fight together…

I did. You made it about you and your opinions. The topic at hand was about what it’s like for women. Are you a woman? No? Then it’s not about you.

No, but you can get women by stop being hateful towards them
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 01:46 AM

‘No legal law’, funny that one! 😂 Anyway, as I mentioned before it’s not about whether something is or isn’t legal. We all live in this world and it only makes sense for all of us to do our best to be kind to one another. Just because you’re allowed to do something doesn’t mean you have to do it. 🤷‍♀️ And who said I was offended? Why would you think this is about my personal opinions? No you’re right, it’s nothing like the patriarchy (or, in this case, the matriarchy), because I don’t think we have the same idea of what society looks like. As someone who grew up outside of the US I believe a lot of the problems there has to do with so many other things than something as simple as men vs women. The court system for instance, or rather the judicial system as a whole, are a problem of its own. The fact that one single judge have that much power is shocking to me, who’s used to c…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 01:27 AM

It helps. Now I at least know where the problem lies; your belief in the fact that they present the truth to you. Good to know
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 01:12 AM
1

Not really, just hating people makes no difference. It means you wait for other people to make a change for you instead of doing it yourself. It’ll only increase your sense of powerlessness. Anger, on the other hand, works well if you want to make changes. Not hate though, never hate. And I believe they hurts themselves the most by hating everyone else and themselves. Believing in yourself will make you feel better, which in turn makes other people happier to be around you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 01:09 AM
1

This is tough, because female friends truly are something special and something I believe every woman need. What kind of settings have you tried so far? Maybe that’s where the problem lies. If you’d like someone to talk to I’m all up for it btw. 🤗
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 01:05 AM

You’re allowed to disagree, but this isn’t about you, it’s about women. You refuting this is irrelevant

Care to evolve, explain why?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 12:54 AM

So what if it’s free speech? There’s still something called moral and being a responsible person. They know what demographic are, meaning they’re impressionable, which means they have a responsibility. Just because you’re legally allowed to say something (or rather not being punished for it) doesn’t mean it’s right to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 12:50 AM

Who are you a fan of exactly? The rapists? The rape advocates?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 12:47 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 12:41 AM

How’s that any different? You’re still focusing on what the victim should or shouldn’t do.

Stop raping maybe?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 12:38 AM

But what's the difference between telling women they should've been taking more preventative measures, and saying they're in part responsible for what happened to them?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 08:13 PM
5

Thanks for clarifying this! I really don't understand how people find this so confusing.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 07:38 PM
5

What you think of freedom of speech here is irrelevant. I was referring to what you personally believe about this kind of behaviour, like if it were to happen at a dinner party you attended for example? Would you still be fine with it? What if you knew one of the women he was talking about, would it make any difference? I suppose you don't believe people should step in and stop an ongoing crime if they witnessed one, because it's not their job?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 07:36 PM
1

noo, really? :(
/r/MensRights25/03/23 07:30 PM

Yea and my point is that's bullshit, because in that case they would be happy whenever they find one, not loose interest the second they find out.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 07:28 PM
2

Okay, fair point!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 07:26 PM

so your moral compass is so fragile that all it takes to change it is the opinions of a few feminists?

Wait, what? I don’t follow
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:58 PM

But who are women supposed to practice with?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:55 PM

I agree, this is so confusing
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:54 PM

Yea, most men care. What’s weird is that most men seem to care just as much if someone’s a virgin, which feels weird. It’s really confusing, tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:52 PM
3

And if all of those things was what you didn’t want in a partner it would’ve been just fine! It’s the fact that you make assumptions, that’s why it’s a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:48 PM
1

Judgmental=inclined to make moral judgments, having or displaying an overly critical point of view (Oxford English Dictionary). Yes, you’re judging, as in being judgmental
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:47 PM
5

So how do you explain women, who themselves doesn’t sleep around, who believe other women have the same rights as men because all humans are equals?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:42 PM
2

Another thing women seem to provide more than men is beauty and sex appeal. Women are very sexualized and socialized to wear make up, heels, sexy lingerie, dresses, jewellery, style 18inches of hair. Another daily, repetitive task which means men get the eye candy This is absolutely what men expect, and what is the counter to when women say they want a tall man. The fact that a lot of men aren’t able to put it in words like you did, doesn’t mean they don’t expect it. Very well written!
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:18 PM
2

I’m with you 100 %! The majority of lonely people might be men, but why is also so often assumed that it’s the worse outcome possible? I’d prefer being on my own above being with people who want nothing but my body.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 06:10 PM
1

Well, I’m interested in learning different ways of reasoning so that I can be prepared for life, I guess. If he were to say something I doubted to actually be true, I’d ask about why he believes it. If he were to say something I agree with then that’s that basically. I want to know why people think the way they think and believe in what they believe. I think of it as a way to prepare myself for my future profession, where this will be a much needed skill.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 05:28 PM

Haha well I’m glad to hear that, cause I’ve actually been worried about the number of men here who seem to totally lack of awareness of this. Glad to hear you were taught this early on as well 👍
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 05:20 PM

Well, my spontaneous answer is ‘it depends on what the answer is’. But I think I get what your implying, and the truth is that idk 🤷‍♀️ I rarely do know why, until the question is answered though. Did you have anything on your mind you’d like to share?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 05:17 PM

I’d like to find out what it is he believe he know that apply to all women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 05:06 PM

What do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 05:00 PM

Because it’s only relevant if you believe in biological determinism, which most of people aren’t. It was debunked ages ago
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:41 PM

Lol that makes more sense, how silly of me 😂 thanks for clarifying! ☺️
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:38 PM

You’re correct, and that’s why I didn’t say it. Him demanding others to accepting it makes him a psychopath, if accepting also includes adapting.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:37 PM

So? Everyone wants variety in some way. It’s the ‘accepting you can’t satisfy him’ that makes him a psychopath, because it means you’d expect others to adapt because you have a certain need instead of trying to figure out a solution together. It’s the lack of seeing your own part in it, and not taking responsibility for something that only exist in your head, that’s the problem, not that the need itself exists.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:26 PM

Then what’s the problem? You’d still have most of the man’s coping mechanisms anyway. It’d work fine 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:22 PM

If you make others miserable then yes, it’s your problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:18 PM

She was depressed because they thought she was funny? And that’s a bad thing? I’m confused
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:16 PM

Yes, because that makes more sense; everyone else are lost and only you, who I guess not that many people are interested in, are the only few who know the truth. It makes perfect sense! Well, at least if we don’t care about rational thinking and reasoning based on logic, those kind of things
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:15 PM

It’s anyone’s business if they also suffer from the consequences from it, as in the constant whining and never taking responsibility for your own actions
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:13 PM

Probably because you never said anything about dating or sexual relationships in the first place
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:12 PM

Or maybe you could’ve done like everyone else and realised this piece by piece from the time you were like 1,5 and realised mommy didn’t actually go anywhere when she was playing peekaboo with you. That’s the normal thing to do, and that’s why most people do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:11 PM

And women don’t? I’m pretty sure most women learned a lot about which types of women you can and cannot trust for instance, since it’s pretty much what middle school and high school is all about, something that a loooot of men still seem to be unable to do. Why else would you go here to complain about all the type of women you dislike?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:08 PM

Amazing, so you now know everything there’s to know about BOTH men and women and the way they perceive and are perceived by the world? Cool! I’ve been a woman my entire life and would never state that I know anything but my own experiences, and a few of struggles and awesomeness I share with other women though. Would you please enlighten me? 😁
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:05 PM

Do you mean it as if a woman and a man switched bodies, including everything that’s positive and negative with it (as in Freaky Friday or Scooby Doo), or if what you think of as a woman’s mind would instead be born in a man’s body (as in someone who identify as trans), or something completely different?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 04:03 PM

That’s true. However, it’s also not what you stated to begin with, meaning it’s irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 03:57 PM

Sounds like you’re claiming all men are actually psychopaths and women should simply accept it. Or, if this was actually true (which thank god it isn’t) maybe we simply dump men as a whole and live happily alone without them
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 03:56 PM

Eww for real? If rape culture wasn’t the reason according to them, what was then?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 03:53 PM
1

Fair point. A lot of people probably don’t know themselves what it is or isn’t that make them react in a certain way. It’s unfortunate because it’s hard to do much about it. The easy, but unfortunately not very helpful, answer is empathy, as in a changing of perspective. Would you want someone to x to you or would it bother you? The tricky thing is of course to be aware of what you yourself know and what it is you’re presenting outwardly to other people. I’ve tried to improve a lot of this mysel…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/23 10:45 AM

Lol just like that, ‘you’re wrong’? That all depends on what theoretical perspectives we each subscribe to, and I have a feeling it’s (the basically pseudoscience of) evolutionary psychology in your case.

State or federal tells me nothing, I know civil law which is what is used in the vast majority of countries of the world. Same with abortion, it’s basically only in the US where this seems to be an issue. This isn’t a problem in most western countries, meaning what is and isn’t to the benefit of the woman is already clear. Basically it’s free abortion up until a certain number of weeks and after that you’d need a special permit. Easy! And the reason why murderers are tried for two murders is bec…

And what would those 30-40 % be based on? UK is the same as the US in this kind of comparison, they have the same judicial system. And again, the existence of a law saying rape is illegal is irrelevant, unless you know what the definition of rape was according to that law.

No one said it was a thirst trap though. People are allowed to post pictures of themselves in summer as well. If some people choose to view those pictures as sexual, that’s their problem, not the woman.

People observing things in daily life is irrelevant, which is what I was trying to explain. Observations done in uncontrolled environments are basically useless if your goal is to understand the bigger picture, and this is true because of several reasons. People comparing so called ‘observations’ don’t know if they’re actually observing the same thing, and they certainly don’t use a representative sample. This is basic research methodology, and I recommend you read up on it, because your kind of…

That’s your theory? Okay, let’s see then. If I was Mary, and the topic at hand was why the situation is the way it is, the picture would be infinitely more complex. True, a few of the things mentioned also apply to me, but a lot don’t. I mostly find it interesting that you seem to think that you have all of the relevant factors in an example that wasn’t created for the purpose of the questions you believe you’ve answered. So what if you simply want to explore sex and your own sexuality, and aren’t interested in having a relationship with the men you decide to sleep with, what then? And I don’t agree with in that it’d be the best thing for a woman to stay a virgin until marriage, and for several reasons. Firstly, it means you’ll have to learn everything by trial and error with one and the same partner, which wouldn’t really feel comfortable. Secondly, going through life as a virgin makes you feel incredibly insecu…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/23 08:41 PM

Yea I sure as hell ignored it, because for one it wasn't valid evidence and secondly the US is irrelevant to me, as well as to most europeans. And it's not 'my stance', it's the law. Even it said in the law that rape was illegal it's a question what'd be considered rape. Rape as in forcing someone to have sex or do it to them have been legal in a lot of places until recently. It doesn't matter if it's 1 % or 2 %, it's a way of saying it's so extremely few in comparison that it becomes irrelevant

I'm sorry this happened to you, and that you didn't recieve the kind of support you deserved. Even if women in theory could be more seriously hurt physically in a situation of sexual assault, the psychological harm, what you decribe so well, is certainly the same. And the fact that the women you told this found out in other ways, aknowledged it is truly horrifying, and just sad. Thank you for sharing this, it was valuable to hear.

Women being seen as victims and men as perpetrators or protectors are your ideology then, if that's what you happen to believe. The fact that your suggestion for actions are based on assumptions means there's an ideology. The assumptions are based on other assumptions, right? The idea that men would suffer more than women in today's society is part of an ideology, an ideology where men are now viewed as victims rather than agents. Sure, you can advocate for men's rights. The kind of advocacy, or…

When measured, poverty may be absolute or relative. Absolute poverty refers to a set standard which is consistent over time and between countries. An example of an absolute measurement would be the percentage of the population eating less food than is required to sustain the human body (approximately 2000–2500 calories per day). Relative poverty, in contrast, views poverty as socially defined and dependent on social context. One relative measurement would be to compare the total wealth of the po…

I rewrote it since you answered 'huh?'. Some men have strong bonds with each other maybe, hardly all of them. Same as women in other words. And what you believe women think is irrelevant since you don't have a way of knowing that.

How interesting that you would call some of your fellow women "the worst kind". I feel otherwise, I really don't mind them and what they are doing. It's their prerogative. But they are in direct contrast to the "hard-working" mentality you are trying to espouse. And by the way, for each and every one of those girls who are, at least somewhat, successful and are earning enough doing that, there are probably a thousand trying to make it, but never will. And each and every one of those is also in d…

My point is that the fact that you've interacted with hundreds of women doesn't validate your point. I've also interacted with a lot of women, why would your conclusion be more correct than mine? The answer is: it wouldn't, because that's not how you evaluate things

/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/23 05:04 PM

That's not the same as a feeling, that's a thought. You might think you're poor, or experience it as if you're poor. Not the same as actually being poor though.

How interesting. I kinda act that way sometimes, when I feel appreciated by and really like someone. I see how it could make you feel suspicious, I probably would if I were you as well. Behaviour doesn't include the reason behind it though, meaning it can't be observed. How you interpret things depend on what you already assume. If what you claim is true, that it's true because many people observed it, the same can be said about the opposite. We're just as many, probably more, who says the opposite. Based on your logic it'd mean we're right and you're wrong.

What’s that got to do with suicide rates though? And btw, the positive part I was describing holds true for feminists who believe in equality that’s actually equality. It hasn’t made me hate men, but it has definitely made me feel more afraid of men, especially when it comes to dating. I recently started dating and haven’t that much experience with things. I assume it makes a difference concerning what makes you afraid or trusting or whatever. I should probably mention that my first dating experience ended in sexual assault and it’s taking me until now, 7 years later, to feel ready to start dating again.

Not necessarily a bias though, that’ll mostly happen unless you’re transparent with your own inherent beliefs and values beforehand. /r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 09:14 PM
2

Noo, you spent that much time? Well I don’t really know why I’m surprised, it was very well written 🙌 it was quite inspiring to me! I’m writing an exam paper in social anthropology at the moment about women’s role in society, and I’m not kidding you, the way red pillers talk about women are weirdly similar to this random tribe I South Sudan which some dude described in the 1930s. It’s creepy 😂 so yea, I might borrow some of your phrasing, if you don’t mind 😊 I’ll have to translate it anyway 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 09:05 PM

Unfortunately, yes. But I mean what could you expect? It is after all kinda scary to take responsibility for things if you’ve never really done that before, or if you’ve been punished for it when you did. 🫤
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:46 PM
2

Not really, I say it all the time and nothing happen. I say it in a respectful way though, and I’m a woman myself. And what you’re describing actually seems like it’s very much an American problem, alternatively a North American or Anglospheric problem

Red pillers are misogynistic though. See? Easy

/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:38 PM

Okay, let me ask this then; what’s the purpose of male spaces? I mean if strip clubs with female strippers aren’t a typically male space
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:28 PM

Any examples? Or it’s just easier than accepting not everything is about you?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:26 PM
1

Oh, that crap
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:26 PM

Yea, and like 10 % of American women have ever used Tinder. Speed dating is more likely what extroverted women would try as well, meaning the sample won’t be representative of even a small part of all women
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:22 PM
-2

Meaning the population was skewed from the beginning, meaning it can’t be generalised
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:20 PM
-7

And most men would dismiss a woman for a bunch of other things, alternatively start a relationship and realise things they dislike when it’s too late
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:19 PM
1

Most women are in relationships and aren’t cheating
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:16 PM

And your point is…?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:12 PM
6

Example: feminists who say all men are rapists, murderers, violent, trash and so on are wrong, and most importantly, they do may more harm than good by simply complaining and not taking any responsibility at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:09 PM

The part that want women to have the same opportunities as men, and not having to adapt themselves to men’s wants and needs to be able to get those. That part
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:07 PM

You’d have to first trick them into learning scientific method, statistics, epistemology and ontology. THEN, maybe they’d listen
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:03 PM
1

How are they manipulated or lied to though, why isn’t it generalising and not listening?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:02 PM
0

Of course they don’t, because it’s people who lack self awareness. That’s why you yourself can’t really tell 🤷‍♀️ women can though, you should listen to them
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 08:01 PM

Sexual liberation? Yea, that’s liberalism, and it’s not a leftist ideology. Identity politics basically fall under this category as well. And you whats your take on socialism, Marx?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 07:59 PM

Red pill is based on conservatism, it’s not possible to be both progressive and a believer in red pill
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 07:56 PM

Why would you need a theory to explain to men that women don’t exist to fulfil their needs? Shouldn’t this be obvious on its own?

Male spaces? Like strip clubs?

Why wouldn’t this be relevant to dating though. You didn’t even ask what kind of trauma I was referring to, you simply assumed it wouldn’t matter. What if it’s trauma due to sexual assault and/or in connection to a dating experience? Obviously it would affect the person being asked more, especially if it’d trigger related memories. And who said anything about being neurodivergent, and why would it ably be relevant if you compared it the way you did? Either you’ve got to have incredibly high thou…

Yeah, exactly what I said! Did you ever think about the fact that maybe it’s because you rarely discuss topics that are close at hand for you in a way that puts you in the more vulnerable position? Because that’s usually why people act like this, it’s a way to try to defend yourself. Since men are so much stronger than women, what else could women do other than use their verbal skills to their advantage, either by shaming and insulting, or by flattering and manipulating? Of course you’d be able …

Wow, so it’s always about you, the man? That’s pretty fucked up, not gonna lie. As someone who doesn’t have the gut to even be naked in front of someone, I totally understand why you wouldn’t wanna have sex anytime. It’s a pretty scary and vulnerable thing to do, however much you might like it
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/23 12:10 AM
1

What about social anxiety and trauma, why isn’t that dating failure of a woman? Men from all across the field and every spectrum always seem to be included. What about women with mental health issues? My point is not every woman have the luxury to simple exist in the seemingly easy way you describe. Why does any of it matter if you’re too anxious to even go on a date?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/23 08:07 PM
1

Yea sorry, I’m from Europe. 1800s is not really considered old here. If you specifically wanna talk about the US though; marital rape mad legal until the 70s. 🤷‍♀️ pressuring someone into sex is also rape. And women raping men or boys is like what, 1 % in total? Not really the relevant part in other words. Not agreeing with you isn’t being delusional btw, and considering people in general probably agree with my stance, it seems like you’re the one in the wrong here
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/23 08:00 PM

Or maybe consider the fact that a woman’s decision not to sleep with her new bf is because SHE doesn’t want to do it, not because she doesn’t want to pleasure him.

I’m sure that’s a reason for it. However, it doesn’t really help those of us who want to be able to understand to support men in best ways possible. It’s awful that those types of women exist, but unfortunately, the rest of us can’t really do much about them. What we can do, on the other hand, is to try to make things better. But for that to happen we need men to give us advice on how we can do that.
/r/MensRights22/03/23 10:25 AM

That’s such an obvious thing to say for the ones who have the power to decide whether or not it actually turn out to become harmful or not. Political representation is the activity of making citizens "present" in public policy-making processes when political actors act in the best interest of citizens. Representatives may be viewed as individuals who have been authorized to act on the behalf of others, or may alternatively be viewed as th…

It’s a social construct and a result of the past. Wanting someone who is a virgin will always be a question of how men want to be in control over women’s bodies. If a man prefer a woman who is a virgin, what could possibly be the reason (and I obviously exclude religious beliefs and reasons here) for that, other than wanting to know she hasn’t been sleeping around? You’re absolutely correct, that’s one definition of ‘rights’. However, there’s more than on way of defining it. Rights are legal, social, or ethical principles of freedom or entitlement; that is, rights are the fundamental normative rules about what is allowed of people or owed to people according to some legal system, social convention, or ethical theory. I find your answer very interesting, and useful to be made aware of as a woman. Considering your first example, correlation doesn’t mean causation. This means that even if studies show that there’s a correlation between women with a high body count and women cheating on their partner, you can’t say why this is. The fact that the were women cheating, could be explained by the women’s behaviour patterns, sure, but it could be just as probable because of something entirely different. To answer your question about how such a situation might look like; imagine you're at a coffee shop and you observe a man and a woman who are sitting at a table together, side by side, and chatting to one another (meaning they're on a date). It looks a bit awkward so it's most likely one of their first dates, if not the very first. That's such bullshit, I mean it takes to two tango. If there's anything I myself find to be easy, it's spreading emotional warmth and being emotionally supportive. It basically takes no effort at all! And when it comes to sex, I swear, it has to be more of an effort not to engage compared to actually engaging in and being enthusiastic about it. You don't, because if you did you'd be able to prove that there's even evidence that it means anything, and isn't simply men being immature and don't like the thought of a woman have been having another man's penis inside of her and/or the fact that women are now equal to men in the sense that they're also allowed to enjoy sex, same as men been doing for hundreds of years.

How would you call when you think you are doing something but are actually doing the opposite? Self-deception? Wishful thinking? Irony? What a great question! By the choice of not making unfounded assumptions I'm referring to the position of not-knowing. Fundamentally, it's a philosophical stance that maintains that understanding is always interpretative, that there is no privileged standpoint for understanding and that language and history are always both conditions and limits to understanding.…

Got it, it's either 'clingy' or 'sex is sacred' lol. What bugs me is that a lot of men seem to assume it's an active decision, like you're saving yourself for marriage or similar. I can't help wondering if it's simply easier to not say anything beforehand, just let it happen basically, like what's the worst thing that could happen really?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 09:24 PM

Because that's when the concept of virginity was invented, back when women weren't thought of as people and it was their duty to let their husbands have sex with them. Why do you think they made up all of the hymen crap? To be able to check if the female was a virgin. Her value was equal to whether she was a virgin or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 09:16 PM

Absolutely, that’ll unfortunately be the consequences. But wouldn’t it be easier to handle if you were aware of the fact that those women only made up a small minority? I mean I get why it might be interpreted as a way to say those women are victims, but was more thinking about the fact that because they’re special cases maybe it’s make it easier to think of them as a few tragic exceptions, and they’d most likely stay that way no matter what you did. I think of it as a way to give yourself a bre…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 04:53 PM

Oh, so it’s not necessarily dominance over the woman, but rather over life or maybe other people? Yea, that makes sense 💁‍♀️

Good point! Based on attachment theory I believe the estimate is usually about 1 out of 3. That include both men and women though, idk how it’s split between them. The majority of those are probably men, since they’re also less likely to find support elsewhere combined with the unreasonable standards society put on men generally. Maybe it’s like 10 percent of women, who are like this? They’d also be less likely to find a stabile partner, so it’ll probably seem like they’re more prevalent than th…

And you found out all about their lives during that time? I have most likely interacted with even more women than you, since I’ve been active in a female dominated sport for years, I am a woman myself meaning I even causally interact with women in the changing room at the gym even. What’s your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 12:41 AM

And how would you know this? Did you talk to all of whatever women you’ve apparently creepily been observing?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 12:28 AM

You do realise these women are most likely also the ones who’ve experienced some sort of trauma growing up? This is a typical behaviour of someone who were taught that they doesn’t deserve being loved
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 12:21 AM

Okay, let me rephrase: why include a stranger unless it’s necessary?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 08:27 PM

"Women like dominance" wait, what are we all supposed to like that? how, why?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 05:02 PM

This was the creepiest and yet most accurate decription I've read. No wonder it scares the crap out of you
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 05:00 PM

That will probably also work just fine if men start acting like leaders, meaning being accountable, in today's society instead of blaming everyone else. No need for a dystopian future
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 04:55 PM

It's not normal to feel the need to be desired by ALL men or ALL women though. That's desperate.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 04:53 PM

Probably, if that's how you decide to waste your time
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 04:51 PM

And you have the power to decide whether it bothers you or not
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 04:50 PM

How does men's view of other men as being disposable invalidate gender equality? Seems like quite the opposite
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 04:50 PM

What about everyone over 16 then?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 04:49 PM

Most women would prefer other ways to take care of that though. Why include a random stranger unless it's necessary?

are they also extroverted?

So money because it makes them feel financially secure isn't obvious enough for you? It doesn't make you "feel protected", that's why I said financially secure. It's not a feeling whether you have money or not, either you do or you don't. It's the same thing with symmetrical faces, which isn't based on a random feeling, but instead it's a sign of good genes. This is how it's explained: Like height in males and waist-hip ratio in females, symmetrical faces are more attractive to people across cul…

Well then you’re obviously correct since someone taught you and you’ve experienced it yourself! Why listen to me who’s an actual woman with experiences of a woman and have been educated in the matter by women who also have experiences of women? That’s just plain crazy! Or maybe it’s time you realise how stupid it is that you, as a man, are actually only repeating the same lies men have been spreading for centuries. Bleeding during the first sexual intercourse (which includes any penetration, not…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 04:16 PM

I get that it’s your preference and that it makes you feel good, but why does it make you feel good? Women typically like tall and muscular men because it makes them feel protected from dangerous things, money because it makes them feel financially secure, and an attractive symmetrical face because it means you didn’t suffer a brain injury as an unborn. Those are explanations. An opinion is not.

It's just men comparing notes on what does and doesn't work. My experiences will be different than most people, but some men will relate to me. TRP was able to explain what I was seeing in better detail and understanding than I could myself living in it. Hypergamy? I never understood why women go for the top top men, I always said "I'd be happy with an average girl, why isn't she happy with me an average guy?". TRP exlained it to me. But that’s one problem, already there. Many men aren’t general…

Sure you do, everyone does, it’s called society and being a compliant citizen. Those who don’t follow the rules are punished for it. Things may not be regulated in the same way as before, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t require us to exchange one form of freedom for another (exchange compliance to receive protection).

/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 10:05 AM

How interesting that you use only a small portion of women (those who earn their living through OF, IG etc), the worst kind mind you, and compare it to a small portion of men (those who work dangerous jobs because they’re responsible human beings). Do you for real believe this make up a good representation of either gender? Because if you do, you should probably read up on some scientific methodology, specifically what makes these things valid and reliable.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/23 10:05 AM
1

It’s only hard if you use the wrong methods though. If you’re interested in finding out individual people’s experiences, thoughts and feelings, meaning variables that can’t be measured in numbers, you’ve gotta use a qualitative research methods. You can’t ask a qualitative question and expect a quantitative method to be able to answer that question. The reason there’s not many studies in this matter, is most likely because there’s nothing to study. As long as RP isn’t actually scientifically pro…

That it’s not dangerous if people understand it's not a conscious restriction that makes some people act violent for instance, they are not to blame for the inner working of their brains. It’s interesting, because I’ve realised how many men seem to crave physical and emotional intimacy, not necessarily sex. It’s both really sweet and quite sad at the same time, like a few of the ones I’ve talked to even tell me it’s because they aren’t close to their parents (and I don’t necessarily mean that they literally tell me, because in most cases it’s rather their behaviour). And what are most women doing in what type of conversation? Let me guess, not distancing themselves enough to look at things objectively? They instead confront men's hypocracy? At the end of the day most anticipations are simply more or less educated guesses. Funny you say that after you said this. I wouldn’t date a serial cheater because I don’t wanna be cheated on. I think you need to have a discussion with your brain as to what your actual stance is. Why though? My stance is that I wouldn’t date someone who have cheated in every relationship. First off I’d like to thank you for not assuming I’m just here to shame men or something, I really appreciate it! What? Do you believe women consciously avoid penetration so that they bleed their first time? Because that’s what it sounds like. Of course there’s other ways but why would you limit yourself? It makes no sense. The hymen basically don’t exist anyway, at least not in the way people used to believe

Experiences are subjective Correct I would say that its opposite especially with female entitlement these days. Entitlement in what way? /r/PurplePillDebate18/03/23 01:00 AM

Lol so by 'natural' you actually mean 'evolved through evolution'? You do know that's only one theory that tries to explain why some men rape, right? Men are allowed to sleep with whoever they like and women are allowed to sleep with whoever they like. Why is this? Because there's no restrictions in law that says otherwise. Men and women are equal by law, meaning the same actions are treated the same. Who claims the theory is applicable to both men and women? Maslow published his hierarchy of needs in the US in 1943 against a background of war, rationing, and 18 million women employed in World War II related jobs. Inspite of this, he includes only two women in his study on public self actualisers, which is the study that he based his theory off of, meaning his empirical material consists of only two women. Aww I love that way of expressing it, that it's peer reviewed! Anyway, the problem is you can get weird messages from people you've matched with as well. I myself state very clearly that I'm not interested in casual sex, but that's all I'm able to do. I can't make sure they read it and respect my wishes. True, but it also makes you assume it’s because he believes men deserve to have sex and women to put up with it.

Which experiences, having slept with 8 people? 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 09:16 PM

So that’s what they believe! Finally someone who could answer this question 😅 I’ve been wondering a lot why men react so weird when they hear about a woman being a virgin. Do you know why they’d assume her to expect them to start a relationship with her? Cause I find that confusing as well 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 09:13 PM
1

Why does nature matter here…?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 09:10 PM

So women should basically not date at all? Because basically all men are stronger than all women, with a few exceptions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 09:08 PM

Are you aware of how many messages women get? If you can filter out and skip a few of them, you’ll do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 09:06 PM
1

How wouldn’t you find out? Your beliefs tend to be noticeable through your actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 09:04 PM

So to you virginity would also mean she never masturbated?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 09:00 PM
5

I was thinking the exact same. How can this still exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:59 PM
1

But what would you say is a reason to want a sexually inexperienced woman? Because the problem here isn’t that men are shamed for thing for no reason, it’s the fact that you hide behind things like ‘it’s natural because of evolution’ etc. If you’d actually explain the reason behind why you even care about what a woman did before she even knew you existed, and that isn’t an inherently bad thing to do, women wouldn’t be saying you’re misogynistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:58 PM

How do you mean you were shamed and for what exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:53 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:45 PM

Don’t you think it’s different to prefer a woman to be a virgin is quite different from, well, basically all other sort of preferences?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:44 PM

So THIS is what you guys think logical reasoning looks like? Finally, I’ve wanted to know this since forever lol 😂

In what way do you believe men and women think differently?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:38 PM
1

You think? What part of RP do women tend to dislike though, in your experience? Is it the fact that they don’t agree, get offended, don’t understand, or anything else entirely? Every time I try to get it I simply end up concluding it doesn’t hold up. It sounds like it’s totally made up to fit an already existing narrative which benefit men and punish women.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:37 PM
1

How?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:32 PM
1

But what is the explanation though, that you avoid telling them?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:31 PM
1

Okay, what do you think upset her in the first place? I mean since you believe she simply needs to “cool down” it sounds like you’re only talking about the times where you didn’t do anything wrong and she simply happened to become pissed at you for no reason whatsoever. And just to be sure, do you have any examples of the kind of logical things that in your experience make women pissed? :)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:30 PM

You’re in luck, because you can get it yourself and totally free! It’s a combination of idealism, the choice of not making unfounded assumptions, education and knowledge as well as living in a country with a low crime and inclusive and universal welfare!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:21 PM
0

Of course we all make assumptions, nothing would be possible if we didn’t. My point is that there’s a difference between assuming things you are and aren’t able to prove as well as if you can explain why you assume it (and of course present a reliable source which validates your claims). Why people act in a certain way might not be the easiest, but with a lot of education and experience you’ll eventually learn to notice the signs. Assuming someone’s past behaviour will lead to a specific outcome…

Generalisations are useful if they’re based on valid and reliable data, which for example means the results have to be representative of the entire population. Does this apply to RP? If that’s not the case then no, it’s not useful to generalise it because it won’t be true for the majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:38 PM

As long as you make it clear which statements are your opinions and which are facts.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:35 PM

Why are you so sure it’s you being rational or using reason that makes them respect you less though? The point of reason is that it’s reasonable. If you don’t explain things clearly then it won’t make sense, meaning it won’t be reasonable. 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:33 PM

What if it’s you who don’t know how logic works? Most people would be pissed off if you make up reasons instead of being honest with them. Your value lessens when you lie to people and even if they’re not aware of it themselves, women are typically better than men at noticing the subtle inconsistencies that lying commonly result in. And you mix up ‘logic’ and ‘rationality’ btw. You’re describing rationality, but that’s probably not what you’re even using. If you were, people wouldn’t be upset wi…

How would you be able to study something like this though? Is the only definition of promiscuity that you’ve had several sexual partners or is it also about the assumed reasons behind it? How many is ‘many’ sexual partners? Are all sexual acts included or only vaginal intercourse? Does it only include casual sex? What’s the definition of casual sex? How many times can you sleep with someone and still call it casual?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:23 PM

So you only care about correlation? Haven’t you heard the classic about there being a correlation between ice cream sales and murder? Do you believe there’s also causation between those too? Answer is no, because there’s more than two relevant variables at play, which is the case in pretty much any real life situation. Here’s a closer explanation: A topic discussed in classrooms for years has been the strong positive correlation between ice cream sales and homicide rates. When ice cream sales ri…

So in other words you’re judging people based on your own unfounded assumptions. Got it 👌
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:12 PM
2

And that’s called a naturalistic fallacy
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:10 PM

I wouldn’t date a serial cheater because I don’t wanna be cheated on. Why wouldn’t you wanna date someone who have had sex before, does it mean you don’t wanna have sex? 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:10 PM
1

Most psychologists dislike evolutionary psychology because there’s basically no empirical evidence whatsoever.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:08 PM
1

Probably because you’re insecure. Why you wouldn’t simply explain this is another question
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:07 PM
1

Why wouldn’t you be able to expect that though? And if this is the case, how would you even find out whether a woman was a virgin or alternatively how many she’d slept with?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:06 PM
1

Lol so your argument is that they used to rely on gossip? They also used to (and still do in some cultures) perform virginity tests on women to make sure they were virgins. It’s an old ass belief about how women who are virgins are more valuable in some way. Back from where 12 year old girls used to be forcibly married to a 35 year old man
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:05 PM

Nope, the height obsession seems to be mostly a North American thing. Not really such a big deal here in Europe 🤷‍♀️

Women aren’t in need of men to protect them from other men anymore? Wow, whatever place you live in sounds really nice
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:01 PM

Very nicely put 👌
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 06:00 PM
1

Or it’s simply a social construct, like most of our stereotypical beliefs
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:58 PM

It’s more like a common assumption or judgement though, which is more likely what sociological research support
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:57 PM

You mean you already had a bunch of unfounded assumptions about people’s amount of sexual partners?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:56 PM
1

Really? 😲 Well that means it has to be the truth! I’ll never eat sugar or carbs ever again!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:54 PM
1

Lol you don’t get why it’s so controversial? Does all your reasoning go like this or only human behaviour based on probability?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:52 PM
1

This is all based on probability though, and that’s what women tend to be offended of. You don’t even give them a chance, but instead judge them based on very little information.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:51 PM
1

Exactly, thank you! It’s not the fact that your explanation is wrong, it’s the fact that you’re not telling the truth that’s the problem
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:49 PM
1

The problem of that strategy is that you won’t know what the other person decides your reason is, because they definitely will. People don’t like not knowing things, that’s basically why religion is a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 05:48 PM
2

Wtf, what’s wrong with people?? 😠
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 04:36 PM
1

I don’t and I never claimed I was able to. But again, you only asked for my opinion, that’s it. 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 04:31 PM
2

Exactly, it’s not that long time ago. I hope your mom ended up okay eventually 😊
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 04:30 PM
1

Really? That’s odd, I thought most societies wanted to encourage fatherhood 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 04:29 PM

It doesn’t really matter what the numbers show, a single person’s experience rarely represent the average. Those numbers (like that actually says anything on its own) you’re referring to are a mean value, meaning there will be extremes on both sides. Again, you asked for my experience, not the average.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 08:39 AM
4

True, although the difference (in some cases) is that things in society aren’t really that stabile anymore. It doesn’t take much for things to change back to what things were a few decades ago. I’m currently writing an essay about this and part of the assignment was to read about what’s happening to women in Turkey. That’s some crazy shit really, cause they’ve recently been talking about getting rid of a law that criminalises spousal abuse for instance. It’s quite scary really
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 12:47 AM
0

How do you know that’s what lots of people are doing though? And is it relevant because men tend to dislike when women have slept with many men?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 12:41 AM
2

Women have always outperformed men socially though, it’s nothing new really 🤷‍♀️ I think girls are taught early on that if they want something in life they need to work for it, that nothing comes for free. Idk if boys are taught this kind of thing as well but it’d probably be good for them, because it feels like things are just going to get tougher unfortunately 🫤
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 12:23 AM
-6

Men can’t find a surrogate or something? Or adopt?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 12:19 AM

But the men of today didn’t live through what past generations did though. To them this is all new
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 12:18 AM

What’s the difference between “hard” and hard? 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/23 12:17 AM

Why do you assume dating multiple people also means having sex with multiple people though?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 11:57 PM
0

You asked me how often I meet this type of men and I answered based on my experience. If that’s not what you wanted to know you should’ve asked a different question
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 11:10 PM
1

Doesn’t matter, it still implies either that rape victims are at least in some part responsible for being assaulted, or that all bad divorces where the man happens to feel cheated, are the result of coercion in some way.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 11:01 AM
1

But it doesn’t matter! Viewing rape as anything other than a deeply disturbed action makes it problematic.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:59 AM
1

No that’s correct, you don’t need to observe every woman. With that said, you still need a sample that’s representative of the entire population. Otherwise the results aren’t valid, meaning it can’t be generalised to anyone but the ones who where part of the study
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:55 AM
1

Really? Where I’m from that only applies to the perpetrators. But I guess most countries have that sort of weird exception.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:52 AM
1

You’re comparing apples and oranges. Sorry, but you’re logic is flawed
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:50 AM
1

And those ‘restrictions’ you can overcome in other ways. It’s not the same, dude
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:49 AM
1

No actually this makes even less sense. Equality isn’t about men and women doing the exact same thing objectively or quantitatively speaking, but rather in an abstract or qualitative way. There’s a reason why it’s called ‘equality’ and not ‘equity’. That’s something else
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:47 AM
2

That’s crazy really! I don’t what’s worse really, that it’s such a big difference between men and women, or the fact that it’s not really spoken about. It’s freaking half of the population we’re talking about 😔
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 10:43 AM
0

So you’re saying everything has changed for the better now, that there’s nothing left from the past when women were being mistreated?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 12:40 AM
3

But the reason why humans find symmetrical faces more attractive is because it has to do with a lack of brain injury and such. It’s a sign of healthy genes and a well developed human being.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/23 12:38 AM
1

Would it be a privilege in your view?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:21 PM
1

But what part of this has to do with women being privileged?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:19 PM
2

If someone were to offer a woman a job she isn’t qualified for it’s on that boss though, not the woman. It’s not even necessarily a good thing, getting a job you’re not qualified for. But of course it’ll seem this way to men who struggle to find any job at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:17 PM
1

You do realise it’s only sexual assault by law if it makes you feel uncomfortable or offended, right? Simply touching or grabbing on its own isn’t a criminal act. Even if women do this to men as often as men do it to women, it’s more likely that it’ll affect women in a negative way. So yea, it does make a difference even if the action happens as often to both sexes.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:15 PM
2

Now you’re just being silly, ‘being influenced’ clearly means influenced by drugs in this context.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:09 PM
2

It’s easy: when it’s consensual, meaning when both parties are able to decide and express for themselves if they want to, then you’re not a predator. Why would this be confusing?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:07 PM
3

If you have sex with someone who’s too drunk to be able to consent, it’s called rape
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:04 PM
0

It’s probably more about Maslows world view though, which based on when he lived, most likely included the belief that women basically had no sex drive. Or he didn’t even think about it, considering all research at the time used men as test subjects.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 09:08 AM
2

Not necessarily a need in the same sense though. men want sex which isn’t the same as wanting children. All of the other ones are short term needs which makes the act of having sex fit in a lot better than simply procreation
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 09:05 AM
2

I agree, with that many ‘not this kind of answer’ disclaimers it’s hard not to think he’s after one very specific answer. Like why wouldn’t it has to do with how Maslow defined a ‘need’ for instance? That’s highly relevant to the question
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 09:00 AM
2

Omg how did I miss such an obvious answer? 😂
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 08:58 AM
3

The urge is not really the same as a need though, is it? 🤔 it’s a genuine question btw, English isn’t my first language 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 08:58 AM
1

Because privilege is a positive right, not something you won’t have to withstand that isn’t legal in the first place. It might be a privilege to having access to free education, but the fact that other people don’t have access to it. The lack of a right isn’t a privilege, it’s a problem which only affect part of the population. And no, if there’s fewer homeless women it’s not a privilege. If you happen to have better access to only women shelters though for instance, it’s a privilege for homeles…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:31 AM
1

Of course it does. They’re having casual sex, meaning they’re doing something. Saying they’re promiscuous means you interpret their behaviour as a characteristic, not only a behaviour. You define them as people based on the fact that they’ve had casual sex, like it says something about their character. And that’s how it means you’re judging them.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:20 AM
1

You’re mental dude. Rape is something traumatic that happens to you. Divorce is the result of a relationship you were part of. This is an awful and inconsiderate comparison
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:13 AM
1

No idea, I’ve never done that. Women are typically better than men at noticing those kinds of anti-social behaviours though, which is probably one of the reasons why this doesn’t happen too often. The other reason being the fact that the vast majority of men aren’t rapists
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 02:12 AM
1

If it’s self reported statistics, why would it be higher though?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:51 AM
1

At what age is 7 high though?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:50 AM
1

But you already are…?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:50 AM
1

Also, this is the kind of reasoning that result in miserable and angry men; other men being inconsiderate douches.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:50 AM
1

Women who don’t sleep around don’t want a man who does either. It doesn’t matter what you believe, and apparently your only source are the women you’ve slept with, meaning they only represent a tiny part of all women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:48 AM
1

Yea because obviously you exist, meaning it still needs to be said.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:47 AM
1

Really? That’s odd, you typically need to know why something is happening to be able to resolve it. Why wouldn’t you wanna know? I certainly do. It’s a growing problem that really needs to be dealt with, suggesting anything else would only be foolish. Like of course it’s a problem, and it’s most likely the result of many different factors combined. I didn’t think you came off as rude at all, don’t worry about it! Thanks for acknowledging it though, I appreciate it 🤗
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:43 AM
2

That’s a great point, it sure seems like it’s the fact that women make the decisions that actually bugs them
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:37 AM
1

But you’re only one person, which is why it’s still anecdotal evidence. And that’s just one problem, it’s not clear how big of a population you studied, how you picked who and what to study, what perspectives, theories or other frames of reference you used, meaning there’s no way of knowing how much you were affected by logical fallacies like selection bias. This is actually most likely the case as well. You probably only noticed the outgoing, extroverted women in a certain age group, sexuality,…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:33 AM
1

People might behave the same in a lot of ways, but the tendency to report sexual violence to the authorities have most likely changed a lot since then. So have the attitudes to talking openly about these things. And, as I said, it was only based on men who admitted to have committed the offences. All of the other instances are therefore excluded. Isn’t that was the thing about the CDC, that they do their own research? Or you mean they didn’t reference the specific study they did?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:25 AM
1

Having sex with someone who can’t consent to it, might very well be considered sexually assaulting someone though, same with coercion. I guess this is where we differ in other words, because we live in different countries with different views on sexual violence basically. If we would look past that for a second though, I get what you’re saying, that most men wouldn’t rape someone, meaning forcibly penetrate a woman (which is the most common definition of rape apparently, so weird). This is most …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:10 AM
1

Well the literal meaning is that now women can be prostitutes, which I assume wasn’t the message. If it means women are able to have enjoy having sex without being punished for it, meaning do exactly what men always have done, then there’s not really a problem, is it?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 01:01 AM
1

Okay, but men are also typically looking for shorter relationships, as in casual sex, whereas women typically look for a long term partner. Of course you’ll be more picky with a long term partner, men are most likely as well
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 12:54 AM
1

Lol no because I’m a master’s student myself and are able to think critically. It’s not like he just randomly told me, I questioned it as well. This isn’t a question of being right or wrong as much as it is about perspectives. You’re talking about higher cognitive functions, meaning it’s psychology. Unless we clearly state what theoretical perspectives we use, we’re both right and wrong because we’re not actually referring to the same thing. Anyway, turns out this didn’t matter as much as it usu…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 12:27 AM

Honestly, I meet this kind of men all the time 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 12:02 AM
1

Well you’re the one who knows them, if that’s how you view them than sure. Probably not the kind of people I’d hang out with (I enjoy deep philosophical conversations to take an example and think clubbing is the most boring thing ever), but it sort of depend on what you think of as having fun and meaningful conversations I guess. Glad you’re happy anyway. Happy people are always a good thing! 😄
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/23 12:01 AM
1

So what, women with those kinds of profiles are what men choose? In that case, how’s that on women and not men who still go for it?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:54 PM
2

What do you mean, why would women be the reason men are alone? Men are the ones who can change things if they’re alone, same as women would.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:52 PM
2

Yup, you’re probably right lol
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:51 PM
1

Those men are attractive to you, that’s not the same as them being universally attractive or anything. Sure, a few women would probably sleep with an attractive man once or twice, but it doesn’t mean she’d want to stay with him or anything. Men do this as well, a lot of women who men want to sleep with have a hard time finding a partner. The fact that men want sex more than women and women want relationships more than men (which, btw, isn’t actually true according to research), means it’s basica…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:50 PM
1

So because you can’t observe animals giving each other consent it has to mean rape is a naturally occurring thing in all animals? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard. And yes, you’re basically saying women are to be grateful for men not raping them.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:45 PM
0

Do you realise that all of this could easily be solved if only more men would spend a teeny tiny bet more time on taking caring of themselves? That’s why more women are perceived as attractive, together with the fact that women are more likely to smile and be happy, have a positive attitude, be open to new ideas and experiences etc, meaning all of the things that typically make you seem approachable to strangers. Women are picky considering which men they want a relationship with and so are men.…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:42 PM
1

I don’t know where you’re from, but there certainly is still social norms against women having casual sex. Your comments are proof of this. So you’re comparing past ideas on women not being seen as adults to men not being allowed to rape? You do know that rape have been frowned upon for a longer period than society have been able to enforce the laws? I mean sure, the entire judicial system is a modern construct. It doesn’t mean the social norms it was made to uphold are recent inventions. Men’s …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:32 PM
1

That’s not women being hypergamous though, that’s women not needing men as much as they need women. Why would you settle with someone who’s not bringing anything positive to your life? How’s it women’s fault that men do?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:17 PM
1

That’s not because of hypergamy, that’s because women don’t need men as much as they need women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:14 PM
1

Men are still allowed to masturbate, aren’t they? That’s what women do when they want but don’t get sex. And if birth control weren’t a thing in today’s society, women would be more likely to not sleep with men at all - we’d rather sleep with each in that case.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:12 PM
1

Yea, and that would mean inequality, which we’ve (thankfully) left behind us. And it’s really disgusting and disrespectful really to say that it’s only due to society protecting women that they aren’t raped left to right. Why would your wants and needs matter more only because you’re physically stronger? It doesn’t mean you have a higher value or anything
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:10 PM
1

It’s rather men’s access to sex though, not their sexuality. It’s about all people’s equal opportunity and right to do as they please and at the same time protecting other people’s rights. I think it’s dangerous to view it as women are restricting men, because they’re not - men are allowed to go after women, just as women are allowed to go after men. What individual people decide to do or not do is a completely different thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:08 PM
1

Society used to treat people differently only because of their gender. Now it’s equal. Men are not restricted because they are allowed to do as they please, same as women are. Men aren’t ‘left behind’, because that implies they’re totally powerless to make any kind of change to their situation, which isn’t true.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 11:01 PM
1

So both men’s and women’s bodies would be used then? Great, why not make more people miserable
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:56 PM
1

I agree. I said victims because that’s how I interpreted the comment
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:54 PM
2

You mean shaming women having sex in other words? Don’t act like it’d be shaming both men and women, cause we both know that wouldn’t be it
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:53 PM
1

Not really, women weren’t even considered to be adults before. Unless you’re saying men were the perpetrators women weren’t really victims either. Not everything is either black or white
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:52 PM
1

No I get that, but you’re still acting like it’s comparable which it isn’t in any way. So I assumed you had a reason behind mentioning it
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:49 PM
1

What does that even mean? 😅 both men and women tend to date within their own social group you know, and it makes a lot of sense. You kinda want to be with someone who’s on the same level as you yourself 💁‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:48 PM
2

I wasn’t looking for you to respond the question of male loneliness, I was asking why the reasoning rarely is about men’s own actions. I don’t expect you to know what every man is thinking or why they’re acting (or not acting) the way they do, same as I don’t know why all women act the way they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:46 PM
1

Actually it seems like more people than ever date within their own social class, at least according to the studies cited in this article.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:43 PM
2

How interesting, I didn’t know you could notice such a noticeable difference 🤔 personally, I’d absolutely love to find me an American man 🤭
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:33 PM
2

No, I mean those who are rich typically are because they already had money. At least that’s what I’ve heard, that it usually takes money to make money
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:32 PM
1

Or maybe it’s a complex issue
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:30 PM
1

You’re absolutely correct. I’m sorry for coming off this way
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:27 PM
1

That is so sad, wtf make anyone believe they can treat other people that way? It’s so unnecessarily mean and rude
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:25 PM
2

Okay, and who would make the arrangements then?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:23 PM
1

I get what you’re saying, though this doesn’t make it a privilege for all women that if they were to commit a crime, they’d be more likely to receive a less harsh sentence. It’s only one judge deciding the sentencing in the Anglo-Saxon (common law) judicial system, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:22 PM
1

What…? How’s men being violent the equivalent of women sleeping around, and not men sleeping around? What’s the equivalent of women being violent then? Everyone pay taxes though, both men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:15 PM
1

How would you know it’s the same quality of work though?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/23 10:12 PM
2

How do you know what ‘league’ you’re in?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:16 PM

Lol how’s it my opinion that you can’t prove your claim? Anecdotal evidence is never proof of anything you know. It’s not an opinion, it’s the way logic works
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:13 PM
3

How stupid, especially in the US where already having money is what typically make you rich and successful 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:11 PM
2

That’s your opinion, meaning it says more about you 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:06 PM
2

You mean the study that’s more than 20 years old, and only look at men who themselves reported that they’d raped? Sexual violence, that’s the word I’ve been looking for this whole time. Here’s numbers by the CDC on sexual violence btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:05 PM
1

Then you’re probably only meeting those kinds of women, which actually says more about you
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 08:14 PM
2

How is being physically weaker relevant to the fact that you want to have consensual sex though?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 08:13 PM
1

Divorce raped…? Wtf is that??
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 08:11 PM
1

But just the fact that you use the word ‘promiscuous’ to describe women means you judge them. And why even bother in the first place? The vast majority of women don’t sleep around anyway 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 08:08 PM
2

Okay, do you have any examples of this? And is it the same no matter what kind of education?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 08:04 PM
2

I believe that’s rich people you’re referring to, not educated people.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 08:04 PM

So why would people stop drinking too much in public or walk alone at night? We’ve been telling people to stop doing this for quite a while as well (also, theft have been seen as bad a lot longer than when someone wrote bible, that’s only 2000 years ago at the most). The problem with all of this is that it still won’t matter in the cases where people are sober for instance. Date rape is also a common thing, common enough that it can’t only be explained by a few rotten eggs. Tbh it’s more likely …
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 08:03 PM
2

Of course it should be case-by-case, that’s the ideal. Unfortunately that’s not really realistic as things are in most places. Of course it’s dangerous, that’s why most people who are able to avoid it do so. That’s not a choice everyone can make though. People shouldn’t be alone at night, get drunk, do drugs etc, but people shouldn’t sexually assault people either. You do realise the vast majority of rape are committed by someone the victim knows, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 07:22 PM
1

Then you’ve most likely only met shitty people. It doesn’t disprove anything
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:52 AM
2

Well that pretty much proves my point; a lack of love means you end up sad and without any positive thoughts of the world or the people in it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:51 AM
1

So you basically just proved my point, in other words. Well done!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:48 AM
1

Jeez, poor babies ☹️
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:47 AM
2

I agree, at the end of the day it’s a big problem to see all men as possible predators. The problem is rather that there’s not really any other way of dealing with it. You don’t know which men are the dangerous ones, therefore the only way to protect yourself is to treat everyone as possible assailants. What else could you do?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:47 AM
1

Sure, if we’d only include those who knowingly commit sexual assaults and similar crimes. But what about all the other ones? A lot of people are generally unaware of how the law defines a certain crime, and with sex crimes this probably holds true in a lot of cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:43 AM
0

Of course, as usual it has to be women who are delusional, never men. /s
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:37 AM
1

Okay, how does it answer how people define what it means to be single though, i.e. not being in a committed relationship? Unless they ask people specifically you’d never know, which is my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:36 AM

Why read when I’ve learned this first hand from a friend who actually do research on this exact topic? The findings showed that animals are unable to learn, period. Mimicking is not the same as learning btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:34 AM
1

Glad to hear! 😄
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:33 AM
1

Probably, but that’s not the same as plenty of people doing it
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:32 AM
1

But in this case you only include actions that the perpetrator knows is wrong. That’s kinda my point, part of the problem, and why there’s way more than a few percent doing these things, is that a lot of people are unaware of what counts as sexual assault and similar crimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:13 AM
0

Is it though? Doesn’t it sort of depend on context? And who get to decide what someone’s actions mean? Is it based on an outside observation or the intentions behind the action? People can respond very differently to the exact same treatment, because they have different experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:11 AM
1

But do you consider ‘equal’ to mean the same treatment or reaction? How would you determine if two things are equal? Is it based on observations and/or the reasons for the actions? How’s context relevant? Age? Socioeconomic position?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/23 09:09 AM

So women used to be restricted by laws and by social pressure to not sleep around. There’s no laws in place to keep men from sleeping around as far as I know. Honestly, I don’t get it. Please explain to me what these restrictions for men are exactly (if you’re up for it, of course. I know this isn’t your job in any way)? Because I seriously don’t get it. And I’m not trying to be mean or anything, it’s just that I grew up without any close male relatives and I really feel like I need to know what…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 11:57 PM
1

Lol that’s the number you get if you pick average salary, over 5’7”, not obese, not married, all races, 20-40 and average income. How’s that having no standards?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 11:05 PM
3

Wait, what? How does it make any sense? What if your dad died?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 11:02 PM
-1

No wonder you’re sad if this is what your world view is like
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:41 PM
5

So men are basically helpless victims now, that’s what you’re saying?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:39 PM
6

How exactly are men restricted in their sexuality? They’re allowed to sleep with whoever they like, aren’t they? Same as women in other words
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:37 PM
4

Ehhh exactly what about this is natural? Does is make it right? Are you suggesting rape is natural because ‘that’s how things used to be’, and men are only doing women a favour when they’re not raping them?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:36 PM
0

‘Now a girl can hoe’, what exactly does this even mean? 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:34 PM
6

Easy compared to what or who? Why would you think it’s the same for all women?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:33 PM
-3

And men aren’t…?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:32 PM
2

What exactly is ‘democratic sexuality’?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:31 PM
5

Yea, this is what happen when everyone suddenly use intersectionality and patriarchy without even knowing what it actually mean. It was never about ‘all men are bad and have an easier life’, that’s just stupid and highly unlikely. Most men need support as much as any woman do, probably more than some women. Same goes for women, because we’re not all the same and it’s only dumb to keep telling yourself that. I’ve gotta ask though, in what way are men supposed be discriminated against in the schoo…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:30 PM
6

What would a regulated dating market look like then?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:26 PM
20

I agree, you still kinda feel ashamed as it is for enjoying sex. We don’t need to go back x amount of years as well. 😕
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:25 PM
5

Why isn’t it ever because of men themselves?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:17 PM
4

That’s basically always been the case though, the people who actually do something are the ones who are also likely to be interesting to others. Same with both men and women
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:16 PM
12

Sure, a lack of empathy of educated people is the problem 🙄
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:14 PM
2

What exactly do you think ‘exploring one’s sexuality’ means?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:13 PM
-1

Sure, I guess that’s what it might seem like for those who don’t get it 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 10:10 PM
1

It says, based on nothing but one person’s guess it seems, that an estimate 3-5 % have a psychological sex addiction. I guess it depends on how you view addiction 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 05:00 PM
3

For real, there’s women who talk that way to men who simply ask them out? That’s awful, wtf is wrong with them?? Still, not really personal. That’s clearly more about the woman and part of her personal problems than the man being told no.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:57 PM
1

Yea we do, what are you talking about? Humans are the only ones who can learn things, reflect on past experiences, plan for the future and so on. Idk if animals actually think, I guess that depends on your definition of what it means to think, but they sure as hell don’t reflect the way humans do
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:54 PM
1

What privileges are you referring to? I don’t know of any where I’m from 🤷‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:51 PM
1

Maybe that’s true, I don’t know what the tax rate are in every European country. But at the end of the day, you typically still spend way more money on things like healthcare and education in the US. So what’s your point?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:50 PM
1

Yea but this is about rape. I wrote sexual assault because I believe it’s different than rape in that way
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:45 PM
2

Wow, that sounds like a very old fashioned way of defining rape. Here’s how rape is defined according to Swedish (where I’m from lol) law: “Anyone who, with a person who does not participate voluntarily, carries out vaginal, anal or oral intercourse or another sexual act which, in view of the seriousness of the violation, is comparable to intercourse, is convicted of rape. The same applies to anyone who induces a person who does not participate voluntarily to commit or endure such an act” Wtf is…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:42 PM
1

That’s nice to hear! I was referring to how some people explain things more than it being a part of the theory. Glad to hear it’s not a part of it 😊
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:22 PM
-1

True, but that’s also only a tiny part of how humans work. Unlike other primates, humans have much more evolved brains, meaning we’re able to think and, even more useful, change the way we think by using our ability of critical thinking among other things
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:20 PM
2

I disagree, I mean those things are what can make people seem more or less attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:18 PM
2

Actually it’s not ‘facts’. Those kinds of studies you’re referring to only show how we tend to treat pretty people better. It says nothing about how it’s because we believe them to have a greater value as people. You need to do other kinds of studies to find that out
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:17 PM
1

You’re probably right, I guess that tends to happen when things are put in the same sentence as ‘women are greedy and shallow’ or anything like that. What I though you meant seems quite depressive to me, beating selfish and arrogant that is
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 04:11 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
