6	Twice today I heard on the news that women had been kept indoors suffering in isolation during the pandemic, as if men were running around freely and socializing. I almost spit my coffee reading this headline. I work with mostly women at a non-profit. I'll tell you this, most af them went out (yep some single with kids) during the Pandemic. How do I know? 25	TL,DR: Men, especially fathers, tend to want to die less often when they get to be active fathers, participate in the lives of their children, etc. Surprise surprise, men are people too and love their children. My (ex) wife decided to leave me and our kids to explore the single life. For 3 years, I thought about suicide. On two occasions I planned it and almost went through it. My kids, both were under 10, and also psychologically struggling. I eventually seeked out counseling for us. I can honestly say that my kids saved my life.
