That's definitely possible. I suppose I was looking at it from the framework of couples that were together; in which case, I've seen way too many instances of the mother leaving the option up to the father, since he has a penis himself.

I'd like a source for this. I'm a circumcised male with an intact son and, while my wife was initially against it for this reason, I've experienced a lot of men wanting to do it because they were. Sure, my experience is anecdotal, but placing the blame of most circumcisions on the mother seems like hyperbole without a source.

These are the very reasons my wife and I are looking into Montessori and Sudbury schooling for our child. While I'm not completely sold on the ideas they present, they have great data to back them up and are immensely better than the standard education system in this country.

While I completely agree that RIC is barbaric and impractical, it is disingenuous to say there are no medical benefits for infants. It has been shown to reduce UTIs in infant males. Now, whether or not that is a good reason is a different story. You would have to circumcise about 100 infants to save 1 from UTIs, which antibiotics can knock out anyway. This "us v. them" BS is the exact reason I have a hard time taking this community seriously as a whole. Many good points are brought up often, but you have to sift through this garbage to find them.
