That will change bud! Your nervous system has been wrecked over what’s happening. As you get better, it will get better!

I get very uncomfortable when I am in the same 5 mile radius as my ex. That feeling may never go away and that’s ok. BUT, you do not have to dance to her tune. You can set up your own get together with you and your kids whenever you want. I have explained to my kids why I don’t want to be around my ex and they have no problem when I don’t show up to those events because those are MY boundaries

I was telling the guys at work how polar opposite this thread and the divorced women thread is. It’s like they feed off hurting us and negativity.

Exactly! I am litterally an ex-holic. We all are. And it takes along time to break an addiction. But i can and does happen with work and will.

What have you been doing to get better?

Talking to somebody (therapy or friends) helps tremendously! Even if it doesnt feel like it at first. Its REALLY hard to see, but you are actually healing going through these emotions. DO NOT turn away from these feelings, lean into them and let them happen. Dont sulk in them all day if you can, but dont fight them. You are in fight or flight with your nervous system. Your brain is wired to be her husband and your kids father. When I had these emotions, It really helped for me to take deep breat…

Brother, the thought crossed my mind a few times going through this shit. BUT, imagine your kids and what they would go through. It is NEVER worth it. The feeling fades quickly if you redirect those emotions into something good!

I have been there! And it feels unbearable. BUT, this is where the true healing starts in my opinion. I promise if you do the work (therapy, gym, books etc.) This will be a distant memory sooner than you think! If you have kids, focus on them and obviously yourself. There will be days that you will be down in the dumps, but that is NORMAL. Dont fight those emotions, lean into them and process where they are coming from, and if they are based in reality. I had a really hard time letting go of the…

We are all or have been there brother. It gets waaaaaaay better once you put in the work. Therapy, books, videos etc. You will realize that when you start loving yourself and living for your kids, you will be happy. Dont look for anybody right now.

It is almost 100 percent opposite. As we are over here crushed and going through the worst chapters of our lives, they are over there LITERALLY telling eachother to leave and not to work on anything. But if its early in your journey AND THIS GOES TO ALL OF US MEN, do not go over there as it will do NO good for you.

I would text other women through put marriage. The last time i did it, was the straw that broke the camels back for her. I never physically cheated, but still the same in that respect.

Definitely was holding out to see if we would try again! So yes, you are right! But i have been in therapy and reading books and coming here to get some insight! I do agree that life is and will get better! Just got home from the gym and taking im taking my life back one day at a time!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
