2	Bechdel test for men? Sorry, I don't really frequent this subreddit, so you should disregard my "vote". I was just confused about this, but I get it. A movie that depicted women as hopelessly dependent on men (and therefore only talking about them) and men as, I dunno, obsessed with sex and violence, then it would pass my proposed test (for men, but not women) but would clearly be sexist towards both genders.	/r/MensRights	15/04/12 09:31 PM

1	I've seen this floating around a lot, I think the real issue is the equivocation between violent rape and date rape. Do you really not know the difference between whether a crime occurred, and whether someone was convicted? I was just focusing on the legal consent-related distinction, which is common to both. It also applies to robbery, as in the OP: if you consent to giving your money to someone, it's not theft. To address your point more directly: "Can you tell a man how he can act to ensure he will be safe from accusation without simply telling him to avoid women?" I just meant that the difference between sex and rape is the difference between practicing MMA with your friend and beating up a stranger on the street. (Or beating up a friend who wasn't expecting it, which I guess is the date rape equivalent in this analogy.)
