No, I dislike it because it can be used as justification to treat a woman differently than you would treat a man. "Most women are shallow, so I'm going to treat THIS woman under the assumption that she too is shallow." I don't see any difference between this and saying, "Most men are rude and disrespectful, so I'm going to treat THIS man under the assumption that he too is rude and disrespectful." I'm firmly against both of these.
