Huh. I don’t think there’s enough info to say he’s genuinely needy. Not to mention, I think there’s a lot of unhelpful (at best) discourses about “neediness” in our culture (I’m of course assuming OP and you share a culture w me) that could be examined more closely. Just a thought. OP could definitely consider how he looks at reciprocity in a relationship. I think you definitely need to be aware of what you’re putting out there and how your SO/date is receiving it.
