So according to Wikipedia, any sensory stimuli presented under the individuals threshold of conscious perception has been shown to activate certain parts of the brain without the participants being aware, this was measured using an fMRI. That being said its effectiveness is dependant on a number of things, is the message persuasive? Also does the participant that's receiving the messages have any intentions to actually perform these specific actions. Finally I can only guess that subliminal mess…

Great read, thanks for sharing dude! I especially love the comparison of texting to chips in a meal. It definitely helps to give perspective on how important texting is, but at the same time it doesn't necessarily have to be perfect. Like a great burger (date) with bland chips is not ideal, but you can still enjoy your lunch because the burger was delicious, whereas a boring, awkward to eat burger with a side of great tasting chips isn't always enough to bring the customer (date) back to the caf…

I see a lot of philosophical perspectives on why this occurs, but it could have something to do with the fact that maybe you're trying to fuck the girl your talking to and the fear of screwing up screwing them makes you nervous, this is why I find it easier to talk to girls I'm not so interested in and still feel anxious approaching girls I like.
