I'm totally open to have my mind changed on this, I'm just going on gut instinct here. But I guess it's because men are just stronger and less easily victimized. Also I think the act of penetration without a doubt adds to the severity of the sexual crime. I don't know the age of the kid, but I'm assuming late teens. I think she should be punished, but the severity of the punishment shouldn't be what a man's would be. For that matter, I think that men are OVER punished for this crime in many case…
