Theoretically, doubling the labour also doubles the output, so goods would be one quarter as expensive and it would take LESS work to support a family. In practice though, any increase in production since 1950 has gone to support the 0.1% and no one else.
The fact that humans sometimes are born with a missing or extra limb does not change the fact that humans are four limbed creatures. The same goes for gender.
