Ironic how you talk about rape of children, human trafficking, slavery, and then mention the Taliban, implying they were the ones doing it. When it was the US occupation that allowed all these things to spread in their societies, when the Taliban was in power (and currently) they put a hard stop to these practices and were executing rapists, drug dealers, criminals, etc. Afghanistan was rated as the worst place to be born a woman DURING American occupation. Just like all these other places you w…

Would you want society to punish men for being unfaithful to their wives?

Lmao, you're basically saying laws are rape. You are obligated to follow the law whether you like it or not. So we are all being raped by the state according to you. The husband is raping the wife when she says no to sex and he just goes no thats not what we're talking about, you made up your own scenario

Men don't go to work to socialize. SAHM have their friends come over to socialize often. Idk why you think getting paid is a plus, thats literally the point he's there, so he can provide for his family, not horde it for himself. If you want to use that logic then you should also count all the food, shelter, clothing, gifts, etc., that the wives are given.

versus 7am to 5pm for the working parent is not fair. Its an unfair comparison tbh, you ignore the fact that they are in the comfort of their own home, around the people they love, where they can invite extended family and friends to help with kids. Pretty sure if you asked the vast majority of dads if they would rather be at home taking care of the kids and family, they would say yes

tbh hiring a maid, nanny, and prostitute would probably be cheaper and more efficient because they'll actually do they're supposed to

You are clearly trying to imply that just because someone is legally married they have an "obligation" to provide sex meaning its not rape, its an obligation. What else could you possibly mean by typing this? So let me get this straight, you're saying if a state makes a law where wives are obligated to be intimate with their husbands, this is rape? Who is raping in this context? The state? The legal system? And who are they raping? The collective citizens? lmao

theres no harm, and theres no point in telling her

Then just say the paper means nothing, the marriage means nothing. You can commit regardless of these things, same way you can have sex regardless of these things. ultimately what we get is the breakdown of marriage

its dishonest because they came into the relationship vowing to give intimacy, but they aren't same way its dishonest if they come into the relationship vowing faithfulness, but they aren't

Do you think prostitutes want to have sex with all their clients?

by partner you mean mistress, and not the wife, agreed
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 10:02 PM

so you commit your life to your spouse because of that piece of paper?

Are you saying husbands back then just raped their wives? If so I'd like to see a source. There are many societal standards that are set in our communities that are reinforced without legally enforcing it. For example, fidelity and faithfulness, clearly. There was a point in time when societal standards also reinforced the idea that husband and wife should give each other intimacy.

Are you now really trying to claim that marital rape isnt rape but an "obligation" seriously? No, I literally said obligation =/= rape. Does an employer rape their employee? This is literally what everyone is telling you in the comments, arent satisfied with your partner? Leave them. You should read that again, you clearly didn't understand it...

Is it not also dishonest to get into a relationship where intimacy is expected, and not provide that?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:52 PM

right, so don't need to ask
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:51 PM

like I said, most states are no fault divorce, so very unlikely they'll take it seriously. Even if, the other party can counter sue for no fault divorce, lol

Can someone have sex even if they don't want to?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:46 PM

17% had sex once a month 7% had sex about once or twice in the past year 10% hadn't had sex in the past year 34% Dead bedroom Not counting the 19% who had sex only 2-3 times a month
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:45 PM

follow up question then, whats the point of the paper?

Obligation =/= rape. You are obligated to do what your employer asks, it does not mean they can force you to do it, if you do not want to do what is obligated, you can leave your job.

nothing to get caught with, if faithfulness was never expected
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:33 PM

that literally is by definition withholding sex
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:32 PM

had sex once per month + had sex once or twice in the past year + hadn't had sex in the past year = 34% (I'd even include sex 2-3 times a month as DB, but I'll throw you a bone here) That is common
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:31 PM

go to the deadbedroom sub, its basically the spouse "not feeling like" having sex, for months to years
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:26 PM

no he doesn't threaten her, he just goes out and cheats
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:25 PM

source?

Interestingly, "marital rape" as a concept at one point did not exist, because like I mentioned, consent was written into the contract. Our society revised concepts of consent as we broke down marriage and the family unit. So if we can revise expectations of sex in a relationship, why can't we revise expectations of fidelity? EDIT: (I'M NOT CONDONING MARITAL RAPE, JUST STATING THIS HISTORICAL FACT). Here's a wiki excerpt explaining it: by definition a husband could not rape his wife.[1] The view…

Don't have to ask if its not obligated 🤷🏻‍♀️
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:17 PM

If you are obligated to do something, it doesn't mean if you don't do it, that some third party will come and force you to do it. Meaning if a wife is obligated to be intimate with her husband, it doesn't mean if she doesn't want to, that he would have the right to force himself on her. But if you're saying she can continuously not have sex with her husband because she doesn't want to, then why does he have to keep being faithful if he doesnt want to?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:15 PM

But its not morally wrong for her to emotionally abuse him by withholding intimacy? I mean its ironic you're using traditional standards to derive this as morally wrong, when those traditional standards also say its morally wrong for a wife to refuse her husband
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:08 PM

He wanted to sleep with the woman he loved for the rest of his life, but she doesn't and society says he shouldn't expect it either
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:06 PM

very unlikely since most states in US are no fault divorce
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 09:03 PM

Well let me ask you, do you believe a wife is obligated to be intimate with her husband? For the record, I'm against cheating, just pointing out the hypocrisy, most will say "your wife is not a sex slave", while at the same time say cheating is wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 08:45 PM

You describe men as weak and unable to control their sexual urges without porn or a mistress. Thats if you assume sexual and intimate desires are unnatural. I mean, I see this hypocrisy among the progressives often, they are pro sexuality, but when it comes to within a relationship and marriage they are puritanical (sexual desire is unnatural and evil, should just be suppressed).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 08:05 PM

Just don't tell her then? Problem solved If you shouldn't expect sex from a relationship, then logically you should just get it somewhere else
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 08:02 PM

Why? Its much easier to cheat. Why go through the hassle of all the legal proceedings, division of assets and child custody, financial burdens, etc.?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/24 07:57 PM

The vast majority of men go into a marriage believing that their wife will want to be intimate with them. It used to be the rule in society that in a marriage both the husband and wife are expected to satisfy each other sexually. Now with the breakdown of marriage and relationships in society, sex is no longer expected from the wife. So you might say, well its the mens fault for expecting sex. Well then why should we expect faithfulness and loyalty either? Theres the old adage, if he's not getti…
