What you are feeling is being happy on your own. That is a good thing, and don't lets anyone tell you otherwise. Enjoy the time with your boys, as it gos by fast. You will have a relationship if and when you want to.

That sounds about right. Calif lawyers are expensive AF. Just wait until the fifth session and it's not all done. Whatever you think you'll pay for lawyers in a divorce, triple it.

Find a cheap hobby. The gym is fine, but a hiking group is better; physical activity and social interaction. It's not to vent problem or pick-up women, but more to just be with other people and focusing on something else for a while. Also, set a goal and work toward it, like "I'm going to read 10 pages of this book each day" or I'm going to save $x a day for some fun toy I want". Something small and simple to work toward and focus on. Also, get rid of clutter and "stuff" - minimal lifestyle can …

You did yourself the biggest favor. A pressured marriage is a failed marriage. You dodged a bullet that could have ruined a large part of the rest of your life. She wants a baby and family and money-puppet. The pressure goes along with age and wanting babies. You gut was right - run run run, and don't look back.

This may be tough to hear, but it's over. There is nothing you can do. Relationship run their course and without active work by both people, and a desire, they wither away. There is no shame in that. She has made it clear she regrets it, and it's clear she doesn't respect you. You cannot "make" her, or anyone but yourself happy. Once a woman loses respect for a man, it is over and never recovers. Very likely she is having an affair. The occasional sex but no kissing is a sign she is getting he n…

Those are excuses - get rid of the couch and put a twin bed there. Serious times, serious measures.

That's not a problem - that's the universe telling you that you haven't met the right person. It's not just testosterone - that is only one part of it. Lots of other hormones (and medications) in the body that affect libido. You can have all the testosterone in the world and have issue. See a specialized endocrinologist, not just regular doc.

Getting married is a business contract with the gov't. Getting a job is business agreement with an employer. The difference is, your old employer doesn't come after your current and future money. You go to work, get paid for work. You show up and do X, and they give you Y. Rinse and repeat until you or they say "done" and move on. With a marriage, it's like being forced to work a job you previously had but not be paid.

My life is 10x better since divorce, getting better every year. Initially is very very hard. Stop sleeping with her, get a lawyer, and move on. You will go back to living like you did in your 20s. Welcome to the price of peace.

Time to focus on the present and tomorrow - living in the past is the prison of the mind. Easier said than done, I know. Even though it has been many years since I left the home I bought and raised kids, sometimes when I am on "auto-pilot", I find myself taking exits toward it - the muscle memory is strong. We are all broken - no shame in it. Get your humpty on and get yourself better. Don't look back.

You got played. Get a lawyer and file immediately .You don't need her permission to file, and actually much better if you file first. Move you paycheck and 1/2 the money to another bank. Force sale of properties in divorce. You aren't the jerk (and even if you were, it's irrelevant.) This is about scorched earth. The bleeding stops when someone realizes the money is all going to lawyers and they settle.

As has been said. BPD not work it. Do not get back together - you imagined family is over. Move on. You don't need someone new - you need to get yourself on a even keel and ignore her. You can't control who is aroudn your kids. Sorry, that's just the truth about it. Unless the guy is Pedo-Jack or documented and convicted violent, courts will do nothing. You said it: "I don't want to be with woman I don't trust". Bingo. This should guide you moving forward.

She has been banging someone else for a long time and planning this. Once a woman is done with you, you are just a money-puppet. It's over - moving on, which easy to say and hard to do, is your only chance at peace.

Ignore what she is doing online. Social media is a cancer for relationship. She has been banging dudes for years. Just ignore it - it will not help you. It's hard to control who ex brings into her life our around kids. Sadly, courts wait until Mr. Douche does something bad around the kids that is documented with exacting detail. Only then might the courts do something. I would not count on it.

This is going to sounds rough - there is no support for the man (except maybe family if you are lucky to have them close.) You need to buck up and deal with crying kid. Most issues with kids are 1.) not enough protein (not I said protein, not food) (protein pangs = upset kids. 2.) Not enough physical exercise and sleep and too much screen time. Yes, being a father is very hard work. You can stop when they are 18, until then, do the time as best you can.

1.) Get a full bloodwork and hormones review - there could be a lot going on. Your health is the most important thing. 2.) This common after prolonged stress. Your body needs to detox. Focus on eating healthly, sleeping, and exercise. Barring any issues in #1, it will reset itself in 6-9 months. Get some dick pills - they help with re;aizing the body will work, and it's likely in the mind and adrenals (from stress.) 3.) All women have an agenda. Avoid dating until you have reset yourself and can…

As the saying goes "HALF EDDIE". She (or her lawyer) will basically go after everything that has a monetary value. A "break-down" date means nothing to a court when it comes to money things - and often the filing date. All that matters is the stack of nickels on the divorce date.

Dude, you are playing with fire. Stop sleeping with her. She will get pregnant and it's game over. Looking for a job is not having one. You will pay alimony for 1/2 the length of the marriage, and likely longer with young kids. Get a lawyer and sleep in another room. Avoid unneeded interactions.

One of the toughest things is it is not you - it's her mental world she lives in. Your effort is not seen or valued, and when that is the case, it will never be enough. There is nothing more to do than save yourself.

Dude, you nailed it - she has likely been done for 5 years, and planning for 2 years. Likely banging another person. Good for you focusing on self. She never "loved" you, she only "loved" they idea of what you could give her or become. Do not move out if you own a house jointly or on a lease together.

1.) You have to make peace that everything you worked financially is going to be obliterated. This is very difficult. Once you are ready to severely adjust you exterior lifestyle for interior peace, you will be ready. don't beat yourself up - we all make mistake, and we learn when we learn. You have a good 15-20 years ahead of you (assuming okay health) - make the most of it. re: your kids - they will come around in 5-10 years once they have had adult experiences - or maybe not. That is on them.…

Mediation is a sham. Hire your own lawyer. You can also have a mediator. Sure, more money, but less chance of being ruined for life.

You need to read "The List" and take it to heart. This will be hardest time of your life, but your will thank yourself later. Stay strong and in control of your emotions. It will be okay, even if you can see it now. https://web.archive.org/web/20201111220324/http://forum.mensdivorce.com//viewtopic.php?t=13374

Yes, you messed up. Time to self reflect - you are not 20-something. You need to be straight-forward from the get-go. Chalk this up as a loss - she will never get over this (it's a foundational thing with women, and she will never trust you), and you chasing her will just end in your own misery. Sorry if this sound rough, but it's coming from experience. This is not about you being TAH, but rather learning that longer-term relationship stand a better chance with disclosure of previous marital st…
