That is not the schedule they follow (most of the time). You have it backwards. 24 hours on and 48 off. Also, being a firefighter/emt is not manual labor. Yes, it is occasionally labor intensive. But you are not digging ditches for 24 straight hours.

I dont entirely agree. He was clearly not in full control of that situation, and I am not sure if he was capable of being so. She easily could have started grabbing for things on his belt because he was lackadaisical about getting her in cuffs. Obviously that is a stretch, but not unheard of. I am all for cops not using excessive force, but this situation could have used some more IMO.

Suing you would not end up with you in jail, thats not how it works. If she called the cops, you may have to worry about going to jail. But, suing in a court of law would be a civil case (one for money, no one goes to jail) rather than a criminal case (one you would be facing if you were arrested).
