Super subjective per person yanno, but I don’t like effeminate men romantically. Possibly because I read more masculine so it’s a turn off and dealbreaker to me.

About #2, I’ve dated a lot of guys who didn’t do this (as far as I knew at the time), but the ones that did came to god awful conclusions and the story is always told about the one girl that did something. They feel the need to share. This extreme thinking is the minority but because of how unreasonable, extreme the conclusions are, the behavior they’ll engage in because of this conclusion, it’s kind of an issue. Under normal circumstances where people aren’t debating about gender, anyone having…

Do you have guesses as to why their relationship with him soured but yours didn’t? Was there different treatment? That’s a shame to resolve to never have lasting intimacy for the rest of your life. I’m always suspicious of conclusions/life decisions my brain arrives at coming out of singular extreme events. Drastically altering one’s outlook when the threat or behavior is no longer there or seeing the potential for the singular traumatic event everywhere feels like something to probably regulate…

Maybe this is true. The same could be true of the women. However I think then the scope of the issue is a bit beyond the little post, this sub, it’s terms don’t you think? Was hoping to steer clear from this ma’am.

Well I’ve encountered a few outcomes. I’ve seen a guy become very protective of his mom, considering and worrying about her a lot even after the bad father has left the picture. He’s very balanced and mature and seems to have a healthy conflict resolution style. I’ve seen men that became extremely meek in the face of an overpowering abusing father and have no ability to approach women. I’ve seen some that liked their abusive father and behaved poorly and acted in constant competition with men an…

Compensation is always more clumsy than having a real, correct representation to emulate in my experience lol. Tend to overshoot ya

Glad you stood up for your mom. If you went the route of agreeing with him or acted like a bystander she would have been alone against all you guys. I’ve seen it before and I felt really sad for that mom/woman coz I didn’t see a way out for her. I’m sure his industriousness and approach to teaching lessons toughened you too. I wonder about these types of fathers who are so undeniably resourceful but also unimaginably harsh they drive away their children. I wonder if in old age, when they want to…

I guess your statement saying you may have inherited/learned from him. Meaning does that make you vigilant to not be him? I tried to pick and choose what good attributes my parents had but pretty sure I’m just a mix lol.

It seems like bluepillers have the best relationships with their dads ironically. I’d struggle to make that call based on 1-2 instances at the time of this reply.

the father's role is to remind the child that there are people in the world who will try to eat your food. So simple yet such an important lesson behind this 😂 My dad pranked the shit out of me when I was little and now I’m just skeptical af

I asked this of men here only because I lacked accounts from them. Many women come from such households too. Bad parenting doesn’t discriminate felt impact on daughters or sons :)

What do you take out of this understanding? Do you try to work against it?

I guess with the women, they’d always assume the worst in a guys behavior where I saw potential for misunderstanding or not enough information to make such an assumption. Their conclusions felt a few degrees too far for certainty. Eg what sounds like a joke to me was the guy being disrespectful to them. Also, since the assumption was so extreme, they’d justify vengeful behavior in return. I felt this is why they kept having bad experiences. Because they were actively acting against something tha…

I’m here because I don’t understand either side and neither make sense to me. I just recently found this place thinking the people, viewpoints and such would make more sense. Conclusion so far is it kind of does just marginally. Does this make me a true purple piller? 😌
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 11:02 PM

I know this probably isn’t right, but when I hear high numbers I instantly think “disease-ridden” even tho it could be totally false. Or just generally messy. I do suspect at insane numbers, bad shit has also probably happened to them because that’s just a lot of casual encounters. Just pass yanno. I do also think after a certain number everyone must look the same to these people and they inherently don’t view/value intimacy the way I do. All other things equal, I’d choose the person with a more…

Think you’re underestimating how much of our behaviors are driven by things like this. You can type and communicate on your nice ui interface but we are still animals you know. Both men and women want and this is how it plays out in reality. You’re dallying over semantics

Sorry that happened to you, but yea I find it deplorable. Because I also don’t think they’re accidents I have very little empathy for what happens to them afterwards. Breach of social contracts means this human is broadly untrustworthy

I like this. I’m convinced this will show how few situations are truly “accidents” and that the more likely case is the weight of hurting someone was cheaper than their lust. In general, for some people hurting someone emotionally is very cheap. Ingraining a monetary or legal penalty will help keep timelines and intentions clear. Those with lower integrity don’t benefit our structures

There’s still remnants of the notion that women need men so some women’s reactions are to fervently declare they don’t actually need men. I don’t think this is healthy either since you’re right, this is true both ways. The point is, despite neither gender “needing” the other to survive, having a partner could enhance your life. That’s why people even care here, they believe it deep down and want that kind of relationship, but see the other gender as preventing that from happening 😂 Studies have …

Why is your post loaded with assumptions? Can we agree “ick” in the first place is a pretty shitty descriptor for a lot of things. A guy told me he thought me playing video games was an “ick” for him. I assure you it’s not assigned to just men behaving feminine. Take a step back guy
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 05:50 PM

Agree with this. I think both are reactions to bad treatments from either gender. You only need to read a few posts and comments on this sub to see the kind of dialogue that is promoting the idea that men and women are at odds. Each side is choosing to pay forward to the other the perceived lack of empathy for their side. It’s kind of amusing and sad

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
