But you did learn that the word “literally” has now completely inverted.

Djeez… That’s not the worst thing I’ve heard in a while but it’s definitely the most depressing.

Some dudes want women to confirm what they think they already know. As in, “No, don’t bother with improving yourself. We are all shallow whores who will never date you because you aren’t a hotty who treats me like shit.”

Please give an example of a female “2”. And, maybe a rephrasing of the idea that women are only attracted to men who are “superior” than them, so that it’s even a little bit believable. I’m just wanting to be completely sure of your argument before I tell you you’re out of your fucking mind.

15%-Spontaneous sexual desire, 30%-Responsive, “The rest experience contextual sexual desire” -I take it this refers to the other 55%.

Thanks for setting that straight. And the few women with the crazy high counts are heroes anyway. Without them, there’d be way more dudes bitching about never getting laid.

The study cited is a little goofy. It’s studying the television programs the commercials are placed in and not the content of the ads themselves. I don’t think that’s what comes to mind when most people hear “sex sells”. Still, interesting to see that commercials are less effective when placed in sexual/violent programming. I wouldn’t have guessed that.

Probably not cut out to be a boyfriend, either. Most guys that are actually boyfriend material get a girlfriend and stfu.

There’s nothing to understand unless you’re researching exaggerated personalities exaggerating personalities. Although, it might be worthwhile to memorize some of the buzzwords so you can completely disregard anyone who uses them.

I’ve never understood the problem. Your preferences shouldn’t matter to anyone but you, sure. So… stop sharing them with all the easily offended out there. Any conversation about romantic preferences should be treated as entertainment. Not some serious debate where you’re obliged to throw your opinionated hat in the ring. This and most other asinine arguments wouldn’t exist without all the look-at-me attitudes feeding a culture of narcissism.

Yeah, my fault, I join groups willynilly. I studied up a little -that is some uneven ground to cover- and I can say I am not um, affiliated with those outfits lol. I’ll just clarify that by “we” I mean “us rational people of whatever gender”. That should give my comment the positive tone it had in my head.

No, just as we don’t assume all women are abusive, home wrecking loons who make false accusations when they’re bored.

I’m not considered unattractive and I’ve been treated the exact same way by women before. And, yep, one of said women I was married to. Many, many, possibly most guys have dealt with this behavior and trust me we know how humiliating it is. Whatever decisions you make and whatever becomes of your love life in the future, please, please try not to direct any anger or disappointment at yourself.

This quote’s not relevant to the internet age. This sort of character- the neurotic New Yorker was frequently written into scripts in the 80/90s. Sometimes as an actual psychiatrist. Tv may or may not rot your brain, but movies should share a huge portion of the blame for generations of failed relationships- platonic or otherwise.

I don’t see any of this happening at all. These are all really interesting and incredibly well stated arguments but they’re all overlooking the probable alternative: By the time technology can offer sexual gratification in the form of VR, robotics, or physical alterations that’s more than a shadow of the real thing, means will have already been developed to activate pleasure centers of the brain in ways that will leave sex, drugs, and maybe even rock n roll in the dust.

Um, yikes. I was trying to make a, “uh oh, I’m starting to think the reason I’ve been dumped by attractive people is that I’m not as good looking as I thought.” kind of joke and failed miserably. I’m not even sure how my thought process decided my comment made any sense at all. And taking a step back it really looks like I was being lewd, which I assure you, is unintentional. Edit- Ok, that didn’t make much sense either. I’m gonna go ahead and give up now
