Sorry, should have written replacing a male role in an established franchise. Male movie is a dumb and nonsensical label.

Fine if the character was interesting or had to struggle. Nope female best because female. No story, no progression. No extra training, no personal struggle beyond being a girl and being picked on. Who likes this? If the character was male it would also be bad.. Main character best for no reason is not engaging or entertaining. We see this over and over again with female characters shoved into previously held male role in an established franchise. It would not be an issue if done well, but it is…

Because they are treated differently. I women will get support. I man will be ostracized and discarded. Man up and get over it because it is your only real option. Women see a man needing support as a liability.

Even still it is hard. I have 2 boys and it is heart breaking to have to re enforce that yes they have value and are not bumbling idiots like everyone on TV. So why can't he contact his kids? I mean if he ran a pedofile ring or something that makes sense... But this seems harsh. Court's or so based I understand why someone would not respect them. It is wrong, but I understand.

Indecency is defined in the Code as wilfully performing “an indecent act in a public place in the presence of one or more persons, or in any place with intent to insult or offend any person.” Is his house a public place? Did he mean insult or offence? No, then strut on... Of note women can walk in public topless... A guy can't be nude in his house.

Had a co worker screw up at work. When I pointed it out I was written up for being sexist for saying I didn't do that job. Was not allowed to stay late at work if a woman was staying late as they may feel uncomfortable. Hiring quotas hurt. I'm white and male. When younger I got alow level job at a bank as security. Was not allowed to apply for a data position as the bank need more minorities and women to balance out the overall company. (higher mi orities a d women in low level positions so they…

Well 36 and live in a smaller Canadian city. Met online 12 years ago, we had both just moved here from a larger city and date went well. No red pill or anything prior, typical guy girl relationship. I was rebounding after a bad relationship and my current wife ticked all my personal must have boxes. Many of those where because my ex did not have those assets /qualities. So I learned a bit more what to look for. (ie must be self sufficient, confident and such) Got married 11 years ago and things …

Oh fuck the park... I use to be nice but not anymore. (that and they out grew the swing) I use to push my kid on the swing only for every other kid to come running and demand pushes. Got to the point where I would publicly and loudly shame parrents for not getting up. Feminism treats women like children. Women have no drive, no responsibility, and must be protected as they can not protect or take care of themselves (not talking physically). feminism reduces women to helpless creatures and holds them to that standard.
/r/MensRights01/09/17 09:34 PM

I do, it is not an us vs them or men vs women that causes this. The vocal majority confirm and reinforce these negative stereotypes. Any attempt to address these is to be ostracized and shouted down as shown in TRP movie. I blame society at large for assuming men are guilty by default and that extra expectations and duties are expected of them while being denied support. All men are rapists, criminals or creeps who can't and shouldn't be trusted. You defiantly should not have access to your children. All men a real men. A man not helping though is maybe not to be held up a positive figure or role model. I believe there a traits, traits that should be celebrated that are associated with masculinity that are positive. I'd even say being kind is masculine and is a reason why such images resonate.
/r/MensRights28/08/17 05:24 PM
9

Again this is all we hear about in regards to masculinity. Never messages about positive masculinity. Mens rights are huge advocates about the demands placed on men to always suppress emotion. What society expects of men is harmful and is reflected in the lack of support and even ridicule the mens right movement encounters. I also disagree strongly that devaluation of women is at all masculine. Devaluing anyone is terrible and reflects poorly on the one who does. Domination is a positive aspect …

"The concept of toxic masculinity is used in the social sciences to describe traditional norms of behavior among men in contemporary American and European society that are associated with detrimental social and psychological effects. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxic_masculinity Essentially Masculinity is bad and blamed for negative social issues. All the more reason why positive masculinity needs to be celebrated.
/r/MensRights28/08/17 04:14 PM

I'm going to disagree and say images and messages like this are important. While low effort, it is important for men and boys to realize being a masculine man is good. Being strong capable and helping those who need it is manly. Men, manly, and masculine traits should be something to be proud of. So much of our messaging to boys is toxic masculinity, all men a rapists or other negative stereotypes of men. Some positive messaging about male positive aspects are needed. Men can and do ask for help. They get nods and lip service. No real support of the issues affecting them, no support infrastructure like exists for women, and no resources available. At best they get someone to listen. If i was depressed i don't know if i would ask for help. Would it change anything, would i get support? Or would it just harm peoples perception of me. This has real world consequences as well for almost all relationships. Wives see their partners as these caricatures that need to be babied, or led along. A husbands independence is a terrible thing and he needs to be told what to do because he is incapable of functioning on his own. One night stands are not relationships. Men going their own way is men not entering into a one sided relationship. Also money is not the main cost. Time and control are the big things mgtow holds onto. Value your time, and the ability to do what YOU want.

MGTOW is the simple belief that life can be better without manipulative women in a mans relationship. And they are largely correct. Sex and companion ship are not worth the the emotional, time or financial costs required by women. The cost benefit ratio is simply not there. Social pressure and other external forces , rather than interest in the mans well being, encourage relationships. It is not that MGTOW men find it hard to find women(there are literally millions of em), they just don't care.

In Canada so may be a bit different. Lack of Male teachers and role models is a huge deal. We actively search for male teachers and programs for our 2 boys. Scouts is great and this is my final year before moving up an age bracket (Beavers are 5-7, cubs 8-10). While i was section lead for 3/4 of the year i was the only male "scouter" with 4 other women. Next year there will also be only one. Dads are hesitant to step up, and sorely needed for the kids of single moms (seriously one complement and…

Should it be illegal for me to call you an asshole or Mr. I don't actually care if your an ass hole or a Mr. But it should not be illegal and you have no right to demand I call you lord supreme or "zhe ".

well it does sound like the bigger reason he was suspended was pretending his toys where guns.. Wait, what. No cowboys and Indians? this is even worse than not knowing a casing from a bullet.

https://goo.gl/images/9Y2Tz6 He man vs barbie. Look at our action stars.. Even wolverine has to cut to an unhealthy amount for the required look. We are expecting to look like that all the time.

I think games really feed the need to be important and to have a purpose. In a game these are Vert very strong. I think people really need to feel these things and they can lack in the day to day grind.

I recall an article about Lego and how it had to be a boys or a girls toy as the isle it was sold in had to be chosen. Maybe the wrong sub to point this out but the girl toys/shows are offensively vapid. They are stupid with no redeeming qualities. If I had a girl I would be horrified and buy boy toys that teach or are interesting.

sort of Girl Guides is still a thing and still girls only. I will say scouts>>>>>>>>guides. i feel bad for the experiance the guides get as they get to look forward to decorating cup cakes as we go camping. Like any volunteer organization though, the quality of programming is on the volunteers. We do have a single female beaver in our group, who is awesome. Girls can be awesome, but it does not appear to be the norm.

They can also wait years to do so...do you remember where you where 6:30 February 22, 2014?

Married to a wonderful wife. I am happily married to my wonderful wife with 2 great boys under 7. That said the legislation and bias is a huge concern. I am not presumed innocent and if separated I stand to lose everything.. And lose everything forever as support does not end once seperated. I lose my boys or they are used as a weapon; I lose my financial independence... Even if I did nothing wrong. Losing everything is almost a best case scenario. I believe that needs to change, hence why I am …

Well because otherwise real victims won't come forward. Who cares if it destroys a man, think of all women who may not come forward. Facts and evidence do not support equality or feminism... Your not a racist are you? (I have no idea where the race card comes from but feel it would be used here)..
