I get that. I happen to live in the largest city/town in the area (27ish thousand) and a lot of the surrounding area is like that. Grew up 2 miles from the nearest town of 110. Unfortunately, low wages and lack of opportunity are the reason a lot of people are leaving rural areas. Fortunately I lucked out with my employer.
