Acceptance of the truth is not a shield against unhappiness. If you're being tortured, or you lose everything you've been working for, or your child dies, accepting that state as reality doesn't inoculate against unhappiness. Your expectations can align completely with reality and also be sad.

Why does man seek mountains to climb when he's surrounded by plains? Because in his heart of hearts he knows that the day swiftly comes when he'll be surrounded by mountains, and the only options will be to climb or to perish.

The best argument against marriage is to talk to any guy who's gone through a divorce. And yet so many of them will tell you their horror story then turn around and remarry. Men get remarried more often than women do. Even getting divorce raped isn't enough to redpill lots of men.

Do not expect women to understand or empathize with your predicaments as a (short) man Probably the most important point. She is and always will be operating under a different paradigm. If a woman were that adamant about being protected, she would carry around a gun. If a woman were that adamant about getting food, she would become a hunter. Neither of those statements are true. Humanity is a sexually dimorphic species, each sex specializing in different areas, selecting for those sundry special…

The reason that the range of "normal test" is so wide Another reason is that the "normal range" includes men of all body fat levels from 19-60 years old. Being fat decreases your T. Being old decreases your T. Those are big factors going into the oft quoted 270 to 1070 ng/dL number.

My personal opinion is always be under 20%, but don't worry too much about getting sub 12-13% unless you're going to be seen with your shirt off a lot. At 15-16% you'll look better in clothes than at 10-11% (unless you've been slamming that anabolic chicken and weigh above like 220). Most people see you most of the time in clothes, so it makes sense to optimize for the most common case. If my arms stretch the sleeves on a large t-shirt and yours don't, I'm going to look bigger (disregarding extr…

That's where you get the effect of girls who only have male friends. She knows she can inflict her unpleasant personality upon men and the men will just take hit after hit, because on some level those men imagine they'll get with her. For her, being around other girls is a lot more work, not because—as she claims—"girls are too much drama," but because girls won't put up with her repugnant personality; they have no desire to mate with her.

Removing free speech is the same as saying, "There is nothing left to figure out. We've reached perfection and will now enforce our perfect worldview on the populace."

"As a man, I reserve the right to be a pussy whenever I want." "Since when has withstanding group pressure been an intrinsic property of pussitude?" "Even dogs sniff before they eat. You would not afford me the same precautions?" "Did you just call me a pussy? I'm telling the teacher." "I can't, I'm Mormon." "What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Qu…

I'm well aware that AA* doesn't work here. What? Of course it does. "I'm glad you noticed. I actually won the 'nicest boy in class' award in second grade last year." "[She replies.]" "Yep, Mrs. Urie even gave me a kiss on the cheek. [She thought I was man enough/All my friends are jealous I'm not a virgin anymore.]" A&A can work in almost any situation if you're clever and cocky enough. Like a lot of other guys have pointed out, not sure that you'd want it to work here, but you can pull it off.

Doing this when you're out with a girl is great too. I love talking up randos when a girl's with me because 9/10 times they respond positively; I usually make them laugh. And when they respond negatively, I just turn to my girl and laugh it off. It's instant social proof, each additional interaction indicating that you're at the top of the pyramid. Watch her get closer to you with every new stranger you banter with.

The Mormon standard is a simple ecclesiastical interview, mostly to ensure that the couple knows exactly what they're getting into. The bishop will typically give some advice, but not on the level of therapy. The Handbook specifically says, "No priesthood officer is to counsel a person whom to marry. Nor should he counsel a person to divorce his or her spouse. Those decisions originate and remain with the individual." So it's basically a meeting to say, "If you want to do this, we'll support you…

One of the hallmarks of great literature is that it can move and teach you in ways that a few pithy statements can't. In every good protagonist, we see a mixture of who we are and who we want to be. We go with them on a journey, and in so doing learn valuable lessons about ourselves. Great literature worms its way into the crevices of the mind in ways that pure introspection can't.

There are two types of people who will tell you women don't like buff men: low SMV women, and low SMV men.

Act like she's too young. Get her age first, then freak out and say, "Wow, I am way too old for you." Or "Dang, you're too young for me." Or "I thought you were a lot older. This might not work out." Exaggerate the age gap. "I'm 19." Or "I'm a senior. In high school." Or "How many grandkids you got?" Or "I've been looking for a sugar mama." Say something stupid. "If you think I'm young now, you should have seen me last year." "Why?" "Well, Katherine, I was only 22." Say the same age as her. "You…

Exactly, like the post on TRP right now about the 80-20 rule. To them, guys other than Chad do not sexually exist. They think about betas sexually as often as you think about 90-year-old women sexually. So of course "it's normal" for guys to have a 30+ n-count.

I lean out fast if I eat just under 3000 cals a day, and I don’t even have an exemplary or impressive build Doubt I've followed bodybuilding for a long time, and most of those dudes cut at less than that. Here's a random example. Direct link to image. That dude (5'8") cut from 184 to 155 at ~2000/day. He can do 165x2 on OHP at 155, which is not what I'd call "skinny" at all. Either you're really, really tall, or you're not counting correctly.

Try posting your routine on a weightlifting forum or two and getting some critiques (don't just believe whatever the first commenter says; try and get a broad survey). Post your stats and diet as well, and most importantly, be honest. If you skipped every other week, let us know. You can even PM me all that and I'll give you my opinion (but once again, don't accept my opinion as fact). Studies have shown that results aren't directly correlated to what you feel in the gym (e.g. pump or burn), so …

That's not nitpicky. It's common knowledge in the bodybuilding community that you look worse in clothing at low bf, even for the huge guys. For further info, here's Jeff Nippard talking to AlphaDestiny about "bear mode". When I saw low, I'm talking about 8-10% vs 14-16%, not 15% vs 25%.

That's a great question, and there's probably not a single answer. Part of the problem with poorer communities is that groupthink can lead to the stigmatization of being (or at least acting) educated, which obviously throws up significant hurdles when trying to implement schooling. Another issue is that we force kids to learn subjects that they'll never think about again. Imagine that for thirteen years of your life, auto mechanic school was mandatory. You'd have a subset of the population who l…

Teacher demographics are largely a function of economics. You have some people on either end of the curve who either are over- or under-qualified to be there, but most teachers are simply qualified. And what are the qualifications? Not genius-level thinking. Not a highly specialized skill set. Not out-of-the-box brainstorming that pushes humanity forward. Not the openness to risk taking, to expose oneself to failure. Not the fortitude to work 12 months of the year. In short, excellence is not de…

I do some variation of this all the time when meeting people. They love it because it lets them know that you don't expect them to follow social norms. "Who are you?" If they tell me their name, I'll say, "Cool, so who are you?" "What do you do? Does that crush your soul beyond recognition?" "Do you like small talk? Yeah, me neither. What's your deepest regret?"
