Who cares what the school says? I would have said fuck them and did it anyway without any official support and made it unrelated to the school in any way. Then I would have donated the money to an appropriate charity and contacted the media about this awesome charity drive I was doing and how the school was trying to prevent me from getting money for a cancer foundation in order to further spread awareness.

How is encouraging fear and paranoia in our children in our best interest? It sucks when children get kidnapped. It really is fucking tragic when it happens, but it also rarely happens. Something like 4% of children who are molested period, are molested by strangers. If we really want to protect them shouldn't we teach them to fear their family and family friends since they are the cause of the vast majority of child molestations? Wouldn't that protect them more? Well /r/atheism has 2.1 million subscribbers and there's not a single link to them in /r/bestof. /r/feminism has a much smaller userbase, but there are no links to them either. Do you know what /r/atheism, /r/mensrights, and /r/feminism all have in common?
