That's what I usually do but I think even just three days to a week of banning shitpost (which I don't like the idea of but simply downvoting hasn't done much to help the problem.) might encourage people to put in more effort even after the ban is lifted. I think there has been a substantial drop in quality on this sub in the time I have subbed and as one of the larger public faces of the MRM something has to be done to fix it.

Only say stuff which you can 100% absolutely support with no room to argue, things like there is no evidence for a wage gap in the general population .etc and be sure to check that you can substantiate absolutely everything you can say before you say it. I think that the article became far too distracted with the whole idea of empathy for the main character in a book and completely missed that as we have seen with bronies and the like it simply isn't as socially acceptable for boys to do "girl" things as it is for girls to do "boy" things. You're talking about a specific study done on math ability? I recall even Rebecca Watson admitted that when examining (for example) intuition that men and women would do the same until you brought up the stereotype that women were better, at which point men would do worse than women. However, when a monetary reward was offered there would be in difference even if the stereotype was brought up.

At my middle school there was a girl on the football team. Only girl to ever play for the football team. There wasn't any opposition to her joining except from her parents who were scared she might get hurt. The administration didn't care because she had to sign the same waver as everyone else essentially saying that she accepted that she might get hurt. In the interest of accuracy the stat you linked for children born to single mothers is for children born to unwed mothers not necessarily single mothers. I don't know why people are downvoting you. There were a ton of men sent in and all they had to do was run in, overturn some dirt, and run back to the safe zone. And it's not just Chernobyl, the entire Russian nuclear program has hundreds if not thousands of instances of men being exposed to extremely high levels of radiation and not all of them were uneducated(many research assistants cleaned up hazardous radioactive materials in a lab coat).
