I've tried but I always end up spinning myself in the same circle. I know it's me but I have a hard time enjoying anything. I've slowly digressed and now people are seeing im not making rational decisions and I'm afraid it'll keep getting worse

You're good man. The kid is 6 yrs. old. I think for me I always felt like he was my son and have people tell me he looks exactly like me but I can never prove it and I'm not rich so it's hard to pursue.
