Not saying UBI is necessarily the answer but the current system is completely fucked, we already have a permanent underclass of unemployed who are there to keep inflation down. Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders are decent British sitcom comedians, Amy Poehler can do surreal comedy well (Hot American Summer) but there's no female Bill Hicks, Carlin or anyone who really makes you think.
