Boys are expected to grow out of it, girls aren’t. If a boy doesn’t grow up, at some point he’s going to prison. If a girl doesn’t grow up, at some point some man in her life is going to prison.

No downvote here. It’s a valid viewpoint.

Etta James, Beth Hart, Shemekia Copeland… these are female singers. I don’t care who’s the squeaker of the week.

Nobody was burned in Salem. Giles Corey was pressed to death, everyone else was hanged.

Chivalry is dead. Feminism killed it. This is the result.

Not really a body slam. He dropped her on her butt, then she rolled backwards from momentum. Honestly, he could have shattered her with that move if he’d wanted to.

Dude standing on the right considered stepping in for a second, then decided against it. My guess: he considered the school’s rules about fighting and decided it wasn’t worth his own neck.

I’m pretty sure she was in the post-slap daze before she fell. There wasn’t any planning or scheming there. Her reset button got pushed.

Why is the MR movement so stalled on this one issue while our brothers are suffering false accusations, paternity fraud, emotional abuse by judges, denial of parental rights, etc? We validate feminists when we just talk about our d*cks.

Modern feminism is defined as the right of a woman to perform with impunity those behaviors which would get a man dragged down a back alley.

Some of those probation terms are overly harsh and basically unenforceable. She gets an apartment after her release, and passes the neighbor kid in the hallway: technically, that’s a violation of the stated terms.

Let’s not forget those who choose a degree (Gender Studies) that actually makes them unhireable. If you tell me you spent four years studying how to sue your employer, the interview isn’t going to end well.

It’s an old insult with a new, catchy phrase. 30 years ago we were more blunt. “Dude, you couldn’t get laid in a whorehouse with a hundred dollars sticking outta your ass!” Same thing.

Here’s a subject where my age makes me apathetic. I’m old enough to remember when a suit was proper attire for any job that wasn’t in a restaurant kitchen. I’m just happy those days are over.

This is where I lose touch with the MRA movement. I’m not into this tit-for-tat “they have it better” crap. Men sacrifice because we have evolved to do so. Men protect women because we have evolved to do so. What’s happening in Iran is men being men: stepping up and doing what good men do to evil men. Nothing will ever get rid of the expendable male; it’s in our DNA. But we can make the sacrifice of being a real man mean something again.

Victim blaming is a real thing, and it should be avoided as much as possible. But a rigorous defense to a serious felony charge is an absolute right that can’t be infringed without jeopardizing all of us. When these two concepts are in tension, the rights of the accused must prevail.

What’s funny is when they cite Catholicism as proof of the patriarchy. As a Catholic, I can vouch that Church teaching isn’t determined by theologians or popes. The real determiner of what constitutes a sin is an annoyed grandmother.

I’m lucky in this regard. Most women consider me a very polite gentleman because when I give them the sinister leer, they’re not facing me. 😈

This is basically extortion. If you are absolutely confident that you have clean hands, look into prosecuting the son of a bitch. But if you choose that road be ready for ugliness; he’s entitled to a strong legal defense. You’ll both be bruised before it’s over.

Side topic: As a younger man (about age 19-32 or so) I could not keep gay men away from me. Apparently there’s a thing in the gay community called a “bear” and my younger self looked the part. I was unable to meet ladies in a bar like my friends because my night was always spent trying to get away from very aggressive homosexual advances. I never did figure out how to stop it (short of violence). Ultimately I just had to wait until I stopped being attractive – which was the same time I stopped b…

This is applying the Francine Hughes defense to every woman on earth. Anyone who knows the details of that case knows it was an extreme circumstance. Francine could not get help. Even the local police testified that they expected her ex husband to kill her one day.

Women don’t understand heterosexual male friendships. I have a friend 900 miles away in Louisiana that I only talk to about twice a year. He knows that if he has a need, with one phone call I’ll be on his doorstep tomorrow morning.

This is where state laws make a huge difference. Here in Michigan, this would be murder. We don’t allow the use of deadly force unless the other person is inside the house. In Mississippi, you can shoot someone if they have one toe on a blade of your grass. Texas probably fall somewhere in the middle.

We would be taking a lot more seriously if we backed away from the pseudoscience. This is just about as convincing as the mid-90s pronouncement that "super Bowl Sunday is the biggest day of the year for domestic violence".
