The point still stands. It should be taught everywhere. For centuries, we were taught men work and women stay at home to raise kids. Nowadays, women are taught to work, so men can be taught to raise kids as well. That's exactly what I thought. Some parents aren't ready to know the true face of their kids. Maybe because my parents' native country(say T) isn't from West: it happens often. My parents have 10 years of difference. But our parents (not just mine, but their generation) moved to France and with my generation, it happens less and since some of us still have arranged marriage, we still see it.
