" My country has mandatory conscription of all males for 2 years of military service followed by 10 years of reservist cycles. By the most men are done with conscription they are pushing 40. They did several surveys to determine attitudes to conscripting men in my country- women were overwhelmingly in favour of it. There is a sub where men shared stories about getting abused by their ex, calling the police, and getting arrested for domestic violence instead because of the Duluth Model. In one case one guy had a good police officer warn him not to report when he tried to because he could see what this bullshit was heading.
