Man... girls are never going to take the initiative so you can't just put your number out there and expect them to text you. And even if they did why not just talk on tinder. Shoot the shit for a couple messages, then say something along the lines of "hey, I'm going to X at Y, you should join me". You've set a time and a place, all they have to say is yes or no. You seem to be able to get enough matches, try it now.

I finally started seriously going to the gym a couple of weeks ago, and I feel 10x better for it. Previously I'd be too embarrassed to go and barely be able to OHP the bar, but right now, for whatever reason, I could not give a fuck and it's really paying off, mentally as well as physically. I've also been putting serious effort into learning a few new skills which I've been meaning to do for a while, but never got round to. My spare time is filled with "work" but I love it. I'm happier right no…

I really appreciate you documenting this, you're actively going out and doing something that a lot of people (myself included) would find uncomfortable. Keep it up man.

He's asking you a favour because he assumes you're bros and you've misinterpreted it. Even if he was trying to AMOG you it's a very very minor thing to get upset over.

You're approaching it in the wrong way. Instead of saying "how do I not fuck this up," you should be saying "how do I not give a fuck if I fuck this up". The only way to learn is by doing, and if you're too worried about what people might think of you to start doing anything, then that's what you should be working on. A good place to start is stoicism, I'm personally a big fan of Marcus Aurelius' meditations so maybe have a look at that if you haven't already.

go sit on your sofa or desk minor nitpick - don't relax at your workspace, or you'll start to dissociate it from work. Good post otherwise.

A quick look at your post history reveals serious mental problems. Go see a professional. This was good advice

always good to have a reminder and to let the newbies know what's up

Yeah man No idea about the caffeine, I'm not a doctor but I've never heard of anything like that affecting performance
/r/askTRP08/03/17 05:21 PM

Yeah, it's often recommended for PE simply because that's what most guys have trouble with, but it's really just about control. They're quite difficult to get used to at the start but once you get the hang of them it'll make things a lot easier.

Stoicism - check out the subreddit, and Meditations by Marcus Auralius :)

Listen to music because you enjoy it! A lot of people will say that rap/hip hop is the most RP lyrically, which is true, but what's the point if you don't enjoy what you're listening to? Recently I've been listening to various rock subgenres but I've been known to listen to rap, trance, house, funk, whatever. Who gives a fuck about what the lyrics say if it sounds good.

Freelance is a pretty big category to cross off. Yes, often there's a very low barrier to entry, but that works to your advantage too - if you can deliver a better service than the average chump then you'll find that you'll do better than you might expect. There was a recent post over in the entrepreneur subreddit (I think) about a guy who would often hire freelance copy writers. Long story short, of all the people who applied to a certain job only one took the initiative to read what it was abo…

4 have independence this is the only reason I've ever needed - having an LTR means that all the cool shit I want to do would be difficult or impossible. You have the freedom to do anything you want, why waste it on one girl?

fair enough, bad example, but treating women like children will get you far more mileage than ghosting will.
/r/askTRP07/03/17 11:10 PM

Yeah, it's supposed to. Better than giving the silent treatment and coming off butthurt.

As a base, I use black jeans and a plain black or white tshirt. From there you can pretty much do what you want: sweatshirts are good, so are bomber jackets. Experiment with colours and layering. Stick to earth tones and monochrome until you're confident enough to try something louder. Shoes are also a lot more important than you think. If you're wearing mesh tennis shoes you will look terrible no matter what else you wear. Look into the meme shoes: Stan Smiths, classic vans, chucks. I also have…

Around this time last year i was faced with a very similar choice: stay on a high-powered course that would've made me very employable, or pursue a different course that aligned much more closely with my goals. I made the change, and my year has so far, without question, been fantastic. My grades are up, I have more time to pursue other things I enjoy, my course aligns completely with my interests and - most importantly - I'm happy. The only thing that makes me hesitate to recommend switching co…

7 weeks! You create a task that you'd like to do daily, and every day you check it off. Really simple but really helpful.
/r/askTRP14/02/17 09:09 PM

Lifting. No excuse :/
/r/askTRP14/02/17 07:58 PM

Agreed. There's nothing inherently bad with being in a relationship, but so many people get it catastrophically wrong. If you're even considering being in a relationship, for god's sake sort your own shit out first. Nothing's more emasculating than being reliant on someone else for your own basic needs.

That all is as thinking makes it so – and you control your thinking. So remove your judgements whenever you wish and then there is calm - as the sailor rounding the cape finds smooth water and the welcome of a waveless bay. Marcus Aurelius, Meditations. This isn't his only mention of this principle, either. Yes, preventing burnouts from happening in the first place is always the best way to go. But for those of you who find yourselves in this situation a lot - and even for those of you who don't…

interesting, seems like a great idea for networking. I'm surprised i haven't seen this come up before.
/r/askTRP13/02/17 11:33 PM

Salsa! Main reason is that it's improvisational, so you don't have to learn a bunch of routines like you would with something like ballroom. It's also a lot of fun, you can implement it in a lot of different situations without the girl even needing to know much about it. Plus, the guy to girl ratio in classes is always pretty great. Personally, I'm terrible, but those are the reasons why I do it.
