I know mate. I was with a friend when I spotted the ad. I was surprised too, but it put a smile on my face and had to share it with the community here. A tiny bit of faith in humanity was restored that moment.

Hey man, thanks for the thoughtful reply. There are a few activities I want to try. Things like rock climbing for example. I've started doing other activities already. I'm learning to swim (now!! At 25) I've also been to a Shooting range a few times and planning on joining a club soon. I've started to learn and get better at ping pong but this is at work only. Electric guitar is something I want to learn and I even bought one but yet to actually commit to it. I do ask people about things that in…

Not really. I'd rather have my money go towards a house I own than rent which is basically money lost.

I would if I could afford it now that I have a house and other things to pay for. I love what I do. I turned my hobby into a career and I love it. I do use my transportation time to read books or tech blog posts so it is not a total waste.

I've just downloaded that app and will give it a go. My thoughts aren't reality but are feuled by it. I hope the books and meditation will help with this.

Or I can use my hand which is free. But both solutions suck and not exactly what I'm after.

That's good advice. I've done this a few times. I don't expect anything out of it at all. Some days I don't feel as confident as I'd like to do this but I guess I just need to try harder here.

Mate, you've given me a lot to think about here. I don't want to lose but if my post sounded like a defeatist to you, then I probably sound the same in real life. I don't want to be like that trust me, but after all of this I'm just tired of all of this. Whenever I'm in some work social event I try to talk to people I don't know, try to get to know them, and just have a random conversation about anything. It dies pretty quickly because I can see the other person just not interested. And if I am …

And I love this place because everyone here genuienly wants to help. I don't want it to be the end, but can't help to feel that it is the begining of it.

Oh, this is really interesting. I'll do a bit of research on this subject. Thank you so much for the thoughtful reply and best of luck to you too mate.

You're right. Maybe I should just work through them instead.

I would also suggest hiring an escort I knew such a reply would follow. I thought of it as a last resort but then I backed out of this. I don't want to have all the work I've put in so far to be reduced to nothing because I decided to do this on easy mode. And I'm more after having the intimacy not just the action. Your advice on travelling, hobbies, and Gym are things I'm working on as I mentioned in replies above. I believe your self pity also damages your attempts so stop it You're right. M…

how to win friends and influence others I have the book and I started reading it a month ago but then stopped for some reason. Thanks for reminding me about it, I'll be sure to get back to it ASAP. I like long hikes when I have the time for them, there are some other types of activities I want to try but it feels weird to go try something new, all alone and then making a fool of myself. Nothing is going to happen if you don't approach women Can't agree more, but not showing any indicators that t…

Dude you’re 25, you’re still a blank slate Too blank maybe. By missing out on life I have had to deal with confidence issues. While I think I made progress there, clearly it is still not enough. And it doesn't help knowing people my age or a couple years older have experienced much more in life even when they were in a younger age. Lifting was literally one of the first things I started doing after discovering TRP. And, absolutely, it did/does boosts my confidence both physical and social, but…

There were aims, yes. Turning my hobby into a career was one and I did it. But in general I just wanted to have a life that I'll be happy to live in. Friends, meaningful relationships, and so on. Maybe my aims were too abstract? I can't help the feeling that I'm too late to the party now. It doesn't help watching people around me at work living a full life or at least having a normal life so far. Dont underestimate the ability to generate happiness from inside This is an interesting point. Hon…

I'm also 24 and have a bachelors in computer science and work 9-5. I think it might be related to where you work. Maybe the company you work for has a work culture that doesn't suit you. I don't know if you are a software developer or what kind of tech you work with but i have to ask if you got into this field because you genuinely enjoyed it or not?

This (more specifically the last paragraph)... OP don't waste your time thinking about her. Let her make the decision ASAP so if she isn't interested you can next and move on with your life.
