She should be entitled to compensation, but not his compensation. The money he recieved was for his time spent in prison, nothing more. If she received money, it would be separate from that, and far less money. She was neither imprisoned nor accused of crimes she did not commit.

I completely agree. If she's going to spring the kid on him at 4 months old, he shouldn't have any legal responsibility to support it, especially not for the three months he didn't even know he was a father (back child support).

Since we're talking about uneducated, third-world countries, countries that actually live in a patriarchy, of course violence against women is undeniably the bigger issue. In today's society in a first world country, women can escape and get help if they are abused, whereas men are expected to man up, take it like a man, quit being a girl about it, when infact the smart and non-violent solution would be to do what any woman should do as well - to get help from outside sources.

This is obviously conceptual, and the "kid" is 16. He's legal in a lot of states, and he is old enough to make some of his own decisions. That being said, if this was a father having oral sex with his daughter, he might get a life sentence for child molestation.
