I had good results alternating being mean/nice unpredictably. I'm not kidding--I'm not sure why it works, but it does. Maybe it fits into their neurotic way of thinking... right when they think you're mean, you're being nice. Then when they're losing respect for you (or getting bored) because you're being nice to them, suddenly you're mean. Feeds their need for drama too, so they don't inflict random drama on you.
Read the comment. The complaint was about Time choosing her over the many more responsible choices. She's just one more moron in a world of morons. The issue was Time doing a bad job.
Why give a nobel prize to an annoying nag who does nothing but bitch about what we already know? No solutions, just bitch, bitch, bitch. Meanwhile there are people actually DOING things that deserve recognition much more. This post has several examples of such people above.
