She was the one who got a guy fired for saying a dongle joke at PyCon, and its ironic she hopes people don't police everything.

I don't advocate violence against either gender, but I will use violence in self defense if I have to, regardless of gender.

I vote on what I believe in, not based on gender. It just happens that many women would probably have to disagree with my opinions, so I often side with guys.

Yeah, this commercial kind of irked me too. I was just thinking that fathers play a part too, I mean just saying.....

The law I described is in effect in the U.S. and possibly the UK and Canada, but not sure about that though.

In my opinion, find what hit you can take in this situation and find how to negate it. For the GF: tell her and find ways to prove you weren't in that apartment (your friend could help, also try to find the cop). For the possible charges: discuss with a lawyer what you could do, I haven't been in the experience so I can't be much help here.

However, be advised that if you don't say that they are being recorded it violated federal wiretapping laws. However, you can most likely get a deal to drop the charges, but not face damages. NOTE: This is only if you go to court, and I am not a lawyer, but discuss this with him if you want to.

The wage gap is an average, it doesn't literally translate for the same work, which I pointed out.

The wage gap (77 cents to a dollar for a man I think is what you are talking about) is an average. Men choose a wider range of jobs, especially ones that are more dangerous. This isn't a great explanation, but technically the wage gap does exist. However, if someone says "women get 77 cents for every dollar for DOING THE SAME WORK" then call them out on it. Doing the same work, the gap is less than 2 cents, if that.

Though you have the urge to, if you feel you are about to be charged with a crime, do not talk to them. You could potentially incriminate yourself and that would kill your defense. Better than to have a lawyer give you the play by play than to try and do it on your own.

Yes, contact a lawyer and don't say anything to the police.

If patriarchy was real, feminism would be non-existent. The power in place would not welcome dissent and would be stopped immediately.

Sorry, prof was just like "lets watch this video about rights of passage" and started it. Perhaps /r/tipofmytongue can help you out?

Push equality as much as you can. Try not to be gender specific. For example: Teach ALL people to not rape, Violence is not okay, no matter the gender. I guarantee you pushing equality may be hard to do, but it is the best thing to do.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
