Yah. No. OP is a badass. A hero. And raising a kid is never ever a throw away life. I 100% disagree with your perspective. In 50 years, this dude will be very proud of his decision. I am proud of his decision. Thank God for men of unusual valor and above average selflessness.

Dude, you are a hero, even if no one knows it. I love that you are 💯 for that 4 year old. Orphaned kids are not orphans if some dad loves them. I hope you know every day that all these guys here respect and applaud you for fighting got that precious one. I think God smiles when such things happen, in my humble human opinion.

Hello friend. I am sorry to hear this. Unfortunate news. Some reminders for a strong and valuable man who also happens to be terminally ill… You are a dad. That is a powerful thing. You will make something great of that. Ice cream trips. Movies. Whatever you have the strength to do, do it. You are probably doing it in age appropriate ways they understand. Speaking their language. Those kids are going to carry you forever. You fought for them. That matters. And you are dad. You are a friend. To s…

In my vocation today, if done intentional or joking among guys to be funny, that would be a 100% terminable offense, immediate dismissal, and maybe a call to police with an assault charge. But if it was a mistake, most people understand and are reasonable about intention (unless they are a head case).

There is a 99.999% chance this is a non-issue. Most humans are fully reasonable beings. I bet she is a reasonable and understanding person. I would not allow myself to obsess over this. Forget it. Move on. No worries. you might go talk to a councilor and explore why this is such an outsized anxiety to you. You are causing yourself big pain and wasting energy by obsessing about an unlikely negative outcome. It is unnatural and unsustainable to have this level of worry over a casual error like bru…

It is not going to help you process your emotions if you bury the emotions in sex and relationship chasing. Serotonin is lovely. But it can master you and rob you. Work out. Be friends. Goto counseling. Get to know yourself.

A few ideas from a 47M INTROVERT! I hate new groups and strangers, but I need people. Here is what I did…. Fraternal groups are great. Lions. Rotary. Elks. Service groups and volunteering is great. My favorite…. Find a church with a big men’s group. Dudes. Lots of dudes. Warmest damn people, and they do stuff and are kind to divorced guys. Mens groups are when guys get together to talk guy stuff - work, stress, life, raising kids, bbq, etc. almost all denominations (christian) and faiths have th…

Get ahold of yourself, man! Buck up. Stop reacting emotionally and turn on your logical brain. You need to reset your thinking. Burning your and her life to the ground is going to help no one and cause you further pain and hurt your kids. Delete the social media tantrum, and take ahold of your emotions. Go to counseling. Now. It is $150. Go. Being a victim should be a stop along your path. Dont build a house there, and done stall at victimhood. Counseling will help your nuts drop, take responsib…

👌👌👌 Dads who step up to love the kids, while the marriage is hard. And moms also. Heroes. Sacrificial! Leadership! And the kids always benefit from the investment of love and stability from a solid parent.

I am sorry, man. Children change men and women. And trauma with kids have a bigger and more abrupt i pact. I saw it with my stbxw. The kids came, and she got super competitive/protective of the kids. We had a trauma for one of mine, and their mom went into hyperdrive. The hardest part is that I am a great dad! Present. Fun. Tender. Rock solid. To me it felt like betrayal. But to her, I think she was drowning in some unprocessed fear, and then behaving on that. Sorry you went through that. And I …

Lawyer up. Discovery is not terribly expensive. And then you can mediate afterwards using facts and sources.
