I have a huge problem with my monotone, soft voice. I've been trying to do singing exercises and reading copy. If anyone has experience going through this, I'd like to know what resources and routines are available.

I have a huge problem with my voice. It's soft and does not project because I grew up quiet and introverted. I started recording myself recently and although I knew how my voice sounded, the amount of inflection ("upspeaking") I use makes me facepalm. I'm now trying to correct myself. For those of you in the same boat as me, I recommend "Freeing the Natural Voice" by Kristin Linklater, Toastmasters, and record yourself with your phone and PRACTICE.

If you haven't read Models by Mark Manson, I highly recommend it. It's probably the best book on relationships and girls I've ever read. Not sure what /u/damnit_darrel means by Mystery but could mean Neil Strauss and The Game. But IMO, that book started great but last half was awful.

I can´t tell you accurately how many times anyone asked about something (Ex: Terrorism) and that person couldn´t answer properly. And why does this make them ignorant? The thing about the news is that it is all sensationalism. Terrorism attracts more attention than car accidents and yet the latter kills more people. 9/11 was the worst terrorism act there was. What do you learn by hearing about terrorism? I think this was what /u/elfonite had meant. Want to learn about something? Read books.

This is so true. I finally lost my virginity two months ago at the age of 26. She is a woman 20 years older than me, into open relationships. She is kind and thoughtful. We had sex and she was very patient. I don't really feel any different now than before. All that pressure in high school and throughout college, and I thought I would get super powers :D

But that is the salsa lifestyle though, no? Everybody dances with everybody. Maybe you're focusing on the end game too much (sex) and girls can sense that.

Not sure if you're joking but I'll give you a serious answer in regards to Bachata. Bachata is from the Dominican and has four beats (or eight). You side step on beats one through three and tap your foot on the fourth. After you get comfortable with just stepping, bend your knees and involve your hips as well.

DUDE, just GOOOOO. I'm 26 right now but I've always wanted to dance since I was a kid. I remember watching season 4/5 of SYTYCD and I thought to myself, wow, I wish I could do that. So at the beginning of 2017 I made a conscious decision to learn bachata/salsa. Best decision of the year so far. Go to a beginner class. At my class during the first lesson, we didn't partner up. We only learned the steps individually first. No one is going to look at you anyways. Everyone is going to concentrate on…

"I just wanted to talk to you. What's wrong with that?" You could say "I just wanted to talk to you because I think you're cute and wanted to meet you".

Damn dude. I always wanted to go to a class but never pulled the trigger. After your post, I just might have to.

It is about your intentions and action. You have to show it right from the start. Have you read Models yet by Mark Manson? I'm sure you can find summaries online but I highly recommend it. Basically, he talks about 3 types of women. Unreceptive, neutral and receptive. Most girls you meet will be neutral towards you. You have to show intention to try and move that girl to receptive. If you wait, most girls will gravitate towards unreceptive. You do this by being vulnerable, showing intention, and…

So to clarify, you're meeting women you find attractive but that you're not necessarily feeling sexual toward, then you find out that you are interested in them but it's too late because you didn't build up any sexual tension? This is the exact same problem I have. How do I deal with it?

I think what /u/purplelemonaid means is then how can you "typically" go for 8's and 9's when you haven't approached a girl before? I'm not judging but this is my theory. I know because it is what happened to me before I realized, so personal experience. Do you watch a lot of porn? It can raise your standards to unhealthy levels and you see girls more like objects instead of having a connection.

I have read some of the answers here and I agree with most of them. My take? I think it's the way that society has evolved for the past 50-60 years and men don't know how to be men anymore. 1) Society treats men as if they are "pigs and perverts". Treat a lady with respect and that is the only way to go. Otherwise, you will be labelled and shamed. Society does not support men collectively like they do women. I remember seeing a social experiment about domestic violence. A couple was in public an…

I read this somewhere but don't remember. Was it in Models by Mark Manson? "Things happen around beautiful girls".

I was shattered from the loss of my father, so much so that without knowing, my brain dramatically changed from that shock I knew I HAD to improve my life. Not just for me, but thinking about how hard I always was for my whole family... I stopped eating unhealthy shit, went down from 260lbs to 190 in one year. Started working out. I moved out of my home at age 22 to a different city 155 miles away.. Started working in my first ever job and now I'm working on getting into uni! I basically changed…

This happens to me as well. Although I do get intimidated by her looks, I think that I'd be more intimidated if a girl had more money than me, either that she earned herself or got from her parents. Let me explain. When I first meet a girl I know how I feel about her within 5 seconds. There's this girl at a Toastmasters club I'm in. I would say she is just above average. We are both in our 20's, and everyone else is 30+ so needless to say I was attracted to this girl. Then she walks to her car, …

Don't do internet dating. Also, Tinder can lie. Sometimes girls with shitty photographs can be really amazing irl. I agree with all your points except this. The world is evolving through technology, making it easier to meet girls. Sure, once in a while you'll meet someone who don't look like their pictures. Move on. In general, internet dating is just another medium to meeting girls.

I'm not a huge pot smoker, heck I've tried it maybe 5 times. One time, I went to my friends house and we baked a cake. I made the mistake of scarfing down a quarter of the cake. Right after I finished eating, I felt the effects right away and it only got worse. Everything was spinning. Good thing this was at his house and we weren't out.

Honest question: how much porn do you watch? Your comment about BDSM is what made me think of it.

When you write this story about yourself, I'm guessing you leave out all the internal stuff because you don't actually "see" it. Can you write us something so we get a better idea?
/r/seduction20/08/14 10:14 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
