If a pregnant woman makes a rape allegation and wants to have an abortion on those grounds, it should be definitively proven in a court of law that she was in fact raped, and that this event is the reason why she is currently pregnant. Lying about being raped isn't the only option though, is it? If a woman becomes pregnant through her own doing and wants to have an abortion, there is always the option of travelling to another state that permits abortion to have the procedure done there. However,…

How many of you might wind up with unwanted pregnancies and no out? One thing I've never understood is that if the pregnancy is unwanted, why did you make conscious decisions that led to you becoming pregnant in the first place? Seems a bit stupid if you ask me. If you know that you don't want to become pregnant, then you should act responsibly and take all of the necessary precautions to prevent that from happening. If you choose not to take those precautions, for whatever reason, whilst knowin…

Thank you for that. I'll be the man I can be.

I know the difference between rage and anger. You've tried to end the conversation as well so you can't really talk.

I wasn't trying to be nice. I was trying to end the discussion because it's getting very boring. Just because I think you're irascible and oversensitive doesn't mean I have a problem with you. I really don't. Have a good day.

I never had a problem. As I've said many times, I just thought I would give you some advice. I thought it might help you. That's all. You clearly don't agree with my advice, so let's put this discussion to rest now. All of this fighting really is unnecessary.

You were criticising me for putting in my two cents. All I said is that this is what pretty much everyone does on Reddit. They comment on other people's posts and say what they think.

If you think that what I said was supercilious, then I have nothing more to say to you. That speaks for itself. I was simply giving you my advice and opinion, which is what most people do on Reddit last time I checked. If you don't like my advice, fair enough, but you should've just said that instead of throwing a temper tantrum. I wasn't looking for a fight when I replied to you, but I got one from you anyway. I don't believe the person who criticised you started the fight. You're the one who d…

To minimize ones actions and over exaggerate the others is a foundation of the victimhood culture. But you do you boo. I don't know about you, but that sounded like you were talking about my actions, not someone else's. Hence, I assumed you were talking about what I said and how I perceived your actions. Besides, the only person's actions I could have possibly exaggerated was yours. you might want to hit the gym for abit though, seems you got your head tucked waaay up there. You said that I was …

First of all, I do not believe that I'm the victim at all. If anyone's a victim here, it's you, but to be honest, no one's really a victim in this situation. Just because I don't believe I said anything condescending isn't me minimising my actions. I also don't believe I've exaggerated yours. The word 'defensive' means that you're very anxious to challenge or avoid criticism. I personally think that this is an accurate description of your behaviour. My advice was simply to say that sometimes it'…

I don't see how my reading comprehension is bad. I read your original comment and all others in response to it. I understand the situation. You didn't know what the poster meant by AWALT and thought they should have explained its meaning. Obviously, there isn't actually any need to explain it since it's used a lot on this subreddit and it's also in the glossary on the sidebar, which you're supposed to read before participating. If you didn't know what it meant, it's honestly your problem, not th…

I don't have a problem with you asking the question. I have a problem with how you handled the tiny bit of criticism you received for asking it. This attitude that you have is just unneeded. I get it, you don't like being criticised and disagree with what was said about you. No one likes it, but getting defensive over it like you have is unnecessary. All I did was say that you should get over it and move on. It really isn't as bad as you think to admit that you could have done something differen…

FDS has some good principles, but in practice, members can take things way too far, and of course, it naturally attracts a lot of misandrists and many bitter women.

It really isn't that condescending. If I really did offend you, I'm sorry, but If anyone's being condescending here, it's you. And I have read the exchange here. You've basically been criticised for not knowing what AWALT means, and that instead of asking the OP what he meant by it, you should have read the sidebar, which is what you're supposed to do before participating in this subreddit. If you'd done that, there would have been no need to ask the question. Someone pointed this out to you and…

'Posting' can refer to making a comment or a post. When you comment on a post, you are posting that comment. The sidebar also says that if you're new here, you should do some 'theory reading' by taking a look at the linked posts. If you did that, you would know what AWALT means. I agree that words do have meaning, which is why I never said anything insulting or disrespectful. I just gave you some advice. If you don't want to take it, don't.

I'm not trying to be a bully at all. I'm just giving you some advice that I think might help you in the future. My advice is to stop making excuses when you've made a mistake, no matter how minor it may be. Accept the fact that you should have read the sidebar beforehand, and move on. It's really not that big of a deal, but it's what you should have done instead of asking. As you can see, it says that you are required to read the rules and glossary before posting.

Just take the L and move on. Next time, read the sidebar like everyone else did before participating on this subreddit.
