It seems to increasingly be the case that people don't grasp that you are not employed by an organization for your own sake, but for the organization. In most peoples minds the game is to collect formal credentials and as a result you are now entitled to a good job. There is very little that money can buy that is more valuable to me than freedom having the money gives me.
