Go and pay Elon Musk to put a space station in orbit. A miniature Babylon 5. The tech mostly already exists, and a low cost launch system is only a few years away. Spin it to get gravity. Grow whatever you want. I’d suggest Aquaculture for fish and veg, and chicken tractors for eggs and poultry, to support pasture for dairy. Keep it relatively simple. Send scout ships out to mine asteroids for KreeP, Platinum, Gold and water. Sell as much as you can to Earth (without crashing the market) but kee…

The ex wife thing is an intro to a lot of plot moments but it doesn’t hurt the show. Besides, what other show would cuck its leading man in the very first scene?

The problem isn’t the timeline or the series. It’s the writers and producers. They used to be imperceptibly subtle. Now they’re pushing the full SJW narrative with all the subtlety of the Borg. A post-Voyager show would also be crap.

Indeed. The Orville recreates the best of Trek’s golden age. Though at least the mirror characters had some conviction and purpose.

Where I live, you don’t assume any legal responsibilities until you offer to help as a first aider. At that point you have to follow through. And even then your responsibilities are to do your best within the confines of your training until you yourself are in danger or are too exhausted to continue. Generally until the paramedics take over. You can also go beyond your training if you have (000/911/112/999) on speakerphone and they instruct you to do something specific. But that’s it. If you mai…

My suspicion is people that bought ages ago saw a price they were willing to sell at, and jumped. All at once. There will be a few more instances of that each time it rises again for the next year or so, to clear the jitters out of the system. Then things can stabilise.

The Orville is glorious. Start to finish. Discovery took way too long to get good, and the monologue at the end suggests Season 2 and beyond will go back to being crap. See my other reply. No meaningful spoilers.

Yeah, but it gets better in the episodes after the season hiatus. Just think of the people from the other side as better, more relatable humans than the federation weaklings. See my other reply. No meaningful spoilers.

It got really good once they disappeared. They spent half a dozen episodes packed full of red pills and glory, trying to get home. Real humans. Real grit. The pursuit and exercise of power, and fighting tyranny, using brains and endurance, at great personal cost. Casually destroying those who would destroy you. Survival of the fittest, and those most adaptable to change. And then they tried to spend a few minutes at the finale as a half arsed attempt to undo it all via a monologue.

^^ Aspie INTJ MGTOW here too. The being alone part is easy. The hard part is earning a living, as you've found out. My biggest issue just now is work. I had a great NT boss but he got shafted and moved on. Now I have an INFJ boss who keeps winding me up while alternately talking up how accepting she is. She drove me into tears once over a non-issue, she just kept pushing and pushing until I admitted something that wasn't true, and ever since then I've been having breakdowns/anxiety attacks. I ha…

Samsung had a promo a year ago where if you buy the Galaxy S7 Edge you get the Gear VR for free a month later in the post. It has since served its purpose many times! That said, getting the VirtualRealPlayer app working is a pain in the proverbial after every OS upgrade. It's well documented online, but it's still annoying. It's kind of funny how they keep trying to make me use Oculus to watch historical BS videos. Don't they understand that these native apps are not what people use VR for? ;-)

I used to think that way. What we need instead IMHO is to require doctors to disclose their charges in advance via a centralised website. Once you know what surgical services you need, you can take your diagnosis and either go into hospital with the diagnosing doctor, or you can find a cheaper doctor. As you have every right to your records, they can't be withheld to force you back to the expensive doctor. However if they want half of something instead of all of nothing they could offer to price…

I went gay, and later settled on MGTOW, after seeing bad stuff happen to men around me (some relatives, mostly relatives of friends) when I grew up. I have no direct experience with women, but it doesn't matter. I learned from others mistakes. I see no reason to make those same mistakes. And if I'm especially horny, a couple of times a year, guys are still easily fuckable.

Gay men can be a useful support base for MGTOW. Many of us aren't attracted to women because we understand women and thus are repulsed by their nature. Also, there are few social and personal consequences for gay men that prevent us from calling out women on their BS. As such we can help steer straight male friends away from them, whereas straight male friends could never do the same without potentially enduring the wrath of their wives or girlfriends. Sure, we might have some slight interest in…

It's your body, if you want a physician's permission or assistance, then yes, you should do that. I'd definitely suggest starting with a physician to get a baseline B12 reading before s/he gives you one injection or before you start self-administering, just to find out how low your levels are. If it's below 1000, you could benefit from the injections. If it's below 150, the doctor will most certainly offer to shoot you up on your next visit him/herself. Those are only problems if you let them get to you. I'm not saying there's any real nobility in being poor, but seriously, there are options. If you're drowning in debt, declare bankruptcy and move on. If you're not so much in debt but you can't get ahead, look at your options. Don't let others, especially women, determine the value you put on your existence. Society conspires to beat men down, mostly inadvertently. There's no denying that. However, most of its methods don't affect us directly unless we let them. What if you just ignore them? What if you rise up above the haters, by taking wages/salary from society, but instead of spending that money on attracting a woman and trying to keep her, and instead spend your money on your own needs and hobbies? Conferences are generally the last place to exchange ideas. They're more about making acquaintances. Anyone who has engaged here at least once and has watched a couple of YouTube videos from the usual suspects probably knows the basics. At a conference you're not likely to get past the basics before things descend into anarchy over different strategies and interpretations.
/r/MGTOW03/01/16 11:35 AM

Why? It would achieve nothing positive, and it'd bring unwanted attention to those who dared to attend. If lots of people showed up and we appeared successful, the powers that be would double down and crush men everywhere. If hardly anyone showed up, we'd appear weak and insignificant. It's the ultimate lose-lose. Going your own way means just that - going your own way. No conventions or similar circle jerks, just do what you want on your own and find ways to be happy on your own.

When you weighed as much as I did, you'd better believe that weight loss is the healthiest option I had. I haven't reached my goal weight yet, but paying for a gym membership that I don't use isn't going to help.
/r/MGTOW24/12/14 05:38 PM

Weight loss is mostly about food and hormones. Exercise helps a lot, but exercise doesn't cause weight loss, nor does exercise need to occur in a gym. I have been to the gym once since I moved house mid last month. Yep, once. In the last month I've lost about 4kg. I feel like a mug when that cash comes out of my bank account on the 1st of the month, and I keep losing weight without actually entering the gym.
/r/MGTOW24/12/14 05:31 PM

Once the weight is off, why would I continue going to the gym? The place is full of rats who don't need to be there, and I refuse to become one of them.

Sounds to me like you're desperate for validation from others. That's an extremely feminine characteristic. Who cares how awesome you feel after a workout, except for you, and maybe a few other gym rats that are also seeking validation?

They're gym rats seeking validation. The best kind of validation they can get is from people they lure into emulation.

It'd be a waste of time. What special local aspects are there to MGTOW that aren't common enough to everyone to discuss online?

This isn't TRP. I'm not trying to impress women with a bogus pretense of athleticism. I certainly am not going out of my way to impress other gym rats either. This is about going my own way, sustainably, ethically and efficiently.

Stuff the gym. It's wasted exercise. Build a compost heap in your backyard and turn it (with a pitchfork) every other day (after the first 4 days). Dig up your lawn, plant a garden, and grow your own food. Collect roadkill from the highway if you see it, and use it to breed black soldier fly larvae, which can then be fed to chickens. Have an egg flock and a broiler flock. Hand slaughter a broiler or two a week. It's some of the best protein you can get. Keep the feathers for a pillow (eventually…

It's just a label. Most MGTOW guys are straight in my experience, but plenty of gay men are potentially on side, and will know exactly what you're on about when you talk about the shit you get from women. Some guys are gay because we can't conceive of ever living with women and their endless issues (gay by choice/a rational logical decision). Most gay men are gay simply by virtue of having their own needs and drives (gay by nature). Where you choose to stick your genitals is between you and whoe…

I keep wondering if I'm straight after all, when my eyes wander toward cleavage. Then I remember I have an amazing (male) fiancee. I'm 33 and I haven't ever (willingly) had sex with a woman. I don't think that'll ever change. Gay guys are much less risky, and the sex is mindblowingly good, once you both know what you're doing.
