Firms aren’t “getting stung by pushing woke stuff.” ESG is still a major part of any large company’s corporate strategy. The only one I can think that has even remotely been harmed by this is Disney, but pushing the boundaries of their universes to appeal to new demographics is part of their strategy too. The entire campaign that going woke makes you go broke is just that, a campaign put on by special interests.

I am a Mens Rights Activist, and I’m what you’d call “woke” (I don’t refer to myself as such). Trans rights, feminism, DEI, I’m here for it. I’m also a proud MRA. If someone was attached to your organs and required them to survive, is it murder to say no and reclaim your organs? If someone is brain dead on life support and is not expected to recover, is it murder to pull the plug? It’s a separate life, but being a separate life doesn’t make it murder when it needs your body to survive. You have bodily autonomy irrespective of anyone else’s need of your body to survive. Our right to bodily autonomy may not be explicitly enumerated, but we should still be protected against the state taking away our rights by the federal government when necessary. States should not get to determine you don’t have free speech, for example.

Your comment shows you haven’t really looked into this. Underrepresented in senior management means they’re represented in the working group, just not senior management. If they’re 20% of the working population, you’d expect them to be 20% of senior management, all other things equal. Sometimes there are good reasons why that isn’t the case. But oftentimes the reason is systemic.

That's why I say it's not the same. Why are you being so dense? Under the new rights, either party can give up their parental rights and financial obligations and the other party can decide if, given that new information, they still want to bring in a child to support or not. There is nothing unfair about that. There is unfairness in the current system, where one party can decide all in their own that the OTHER party should be 50% responsible for 18 years of a life.

Every comment I've seen says it would be for both parties, but you keep bringing up that we're saying it would only be for fathers. Also I don't think abortion is the same, but a woman can make a choice to not have a kid and that's that. A man doesn't get that choice and is forced to pay for 18 years due to the mother's choice.

Within my career, I attended my intra-company diversity events. I am back in grad school, and the groups here are specifically within my graduate program. I attend Women in Business, Black Business Students Association, and Diversity & Inclusion meetings/events. They are not open to the public. I would challenge everyone to find their own local groups. I'm speaking to the normalized wage gap, the wage gap that results after accounting for career choice, years of experience, etc. There is still a very minor gap across the board (sometimes men make less, too). But it predominantly comes down to salary negotiations, not sexism.

I agree. My only disagreement is where the olive branch is extended. I think we can do more by bridging that gap ourselves than waiting for the bridge to be built towards us. Google literally any wage study that includes gender. There is a 3-6% gap after adjusting for career, years of experience, hours worked, etc. The primary reason is because of negotiations. Men are typically more comfortable negotiating and get higher wages due to that. It is not discrimination, but it exists. If you want to be taken seriously you have to know what you're talking about.

Many abusers will say they agree with this as well. But they don't view it as abuse when they constantly emotionally belittle the man, telling them they are weak, that they shouldn't cry, or to grow up. Those things don't register as emotional abuse. Or when she "just slapped him that one time, and he deserved it!" Those things don't register as abuse to them and we need to continue reinforcing that it is abuse. I hate Hillary. She's worse than Trump. So bringing her up doesn't help. But I generally mean everyone, not just citizens. No way. I spent about $6k on a weekend in Vegas, we got bottle service at 4 different clubs. The prices are usually negotiable if you look like you're a reasonable person. The most expensive table was $2k after 3 bottles.

It's not all about pure statistics. People get married for the wrong reasons and fuck things up. Get married because it's practical and you are both in love with each other and have been for a long time, and it's worth it.
