I married a woman who believes in gender roles. Like it’s my job to shovel the driveway and do yard work. She does diapers and lunches for the kids. I usually cook supper and she cleans. She doesn’t complain when I leave the toilet seat up and I don’t complain when she leaves the car seat all the way forward. We get along great. If I ask her nicely she’ll make me a sandwich like 90% of the time.
My wife is big on having her “wife” work and me having “husband” work. She rarely asks me to change diapers or bathe the children but she expects me to open up the driveway after a snowstorm or mow the grass or get the woodstove going before work. It works fine for us.
