So what? More women study/graduate, that's it. And so when one of the eligibility criteria for a scholarship at my uni is "Be a woman", how am I supposed to take that as a man when I look around my class and see majority women? I tried to apply for a scholarship, but I was ineligible, and I know that women in my class are on scholarships because they told me. And yet we offer more and more support to women at my uni everyday? At what point do you consider things "finally equal", because it isn't…

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I do the same thing. But it's not selfish to look after yourself first. You'll see MRA's complain about "disposable men", which is that men are expected to put others before themselves, and to sacrifice their own wellbeing for others. Don't lose interest in others, but don't put them before yourself. This is not selfish. It is a sound practice that will protect you from getting into a pattern of unhappiness. Don't be afraid to take time for yourself if you need…

It's funny because if you read /r/askmen, there will be a new post every single week from a random woman saying "Will he feel like less of a man if I ask him out?" There is one right now about if asking a guy out on a second date is needy. I think a lot of women have been taught that men are X, Y and Z, and it's very frustrating particularly as a 20-something guy who is playing the dating game. I have stopped dating. It's been over six months since my last girlfriend, and I look back on it now w…

Don't start thinking in collectives. That's how feminists think. That pun was intentional right?....

To be honest, I'm not really interested in getting into a lengthy debate, with walls of text. I can answer, but if you don't agree with me, that's fine. We can just agree to disagree. She is a proud feminist, and has strong beliefs on women's issues. But she neglects men, and dodges talking about any male issues. We have a ratio of boys to girls that need remedial education at 4:1 here in Australia. Higher rates of imprisonment, drug use, suicide etc for males. And she just doesn't seem to care,…

Am I the only one who doesn't live in America?

My username is MrTyx. Its a safe bet that I am male :P I actually don't have much to say. It appears we agree on a lot of things, especially that men should approach sex with an attitude of responsibility. And you can argue that there are men who aren't willing to take an attitude of responsibility to sex, and there definitely is. But I would steer clear of them. And similarly, I believe that women have to be responsible when it comes to sex. There is something about condoms, and I'm not sure if…

Tell him, find the people who are teasing him for carrying pepper spray. Have him request those people attempt "to mug him" while he rather obviously holds a can of pepper spray. If they do, he gets to spray some assholes with pepper spray. If they don't, he gets to say "Look how effective it is as a deterrent to getting mugged." In all seriousness, yes this is a men's rights issue. But the solution is something of a general life advice, being "Don't listen to assholes."

Ok, but what about abortions? Since women have the ability to have sex, and they certainly understand that pregnancy could be a result of such actions. But they have the choice to not live with it if they want to. Men are required to have forethought, but women aren't? What are your opinions on that? And a huge part of the feminist movement want how the pill gave women the ability to have sex when they wanted. That was the whole point of placing the power over their sexuality into women's hands.…

But I honestly fail to grasp how, as a man (I'm not one) you can have sex with a woman and then not be willing to accept what could result of that action. Ok, but woman can get abortions? So woman are able to have sex with men, and after getting pregnant, choose to have an abortion because they don't want to raise a child, which is a result of that action (having sex). That option isn't available to men. You can't force her to get an abortion, or to withdraw from child support. And so whatever y…

And this is why we need a male pill. Because all of the current options for men just plain suck. Celibacy, condoms, vasectomy, female only pills, all of these have huge downsides. Yes, men who get women pregnant irresponsibly should pay child support. But there are so many factors surrounding this issue, and your scenario doesn't include them. Here, watch as I alter it slightly; "If a woman gets pregnant, and the male didn't use a condom, because she said she was on the pill but wasn't, it's unf…

Can we please not have the bashing? It really hurts the MRM's image. /r/MensRights gets a lot of traffic from people saying hateful things about the MRM, other people reading those comments and coming here out of curiosity. And so, when they check out /r/MensRights, can we PLEASE not have a thread on the front page with "butthurt women" in the title? It makes the MRM look childish. You could have easily just named this "There's a thread on AskReddit about this Sub." and ended it there. The secon…

High five for existing! Due to the nature of the internet, we can't actually high five. But, if we were in person, I promise we'd high five. And it'd be awesome.

You say, "Are we ready for male birth control?". Are condoms not considered birth control? I've always though the term "birth control" as a nomenclature included condoms. But is that wrong?

It bothers me how the left hand side of his face (from his PoV) appears unshaven. See how the hair around his mouth curves down rather than up, it looks like he doesn't have a sideburn on the left hand side of his face. Yes, I know it doesn't matter to the message of the picture, but it bugs me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
