I think it's a micro-aggression thing. Some people are very sensitive to their issues due to strong personal experience, so the sub is made to harbor a safe space to talk. Dissent is difficult if not impossible. The idea about the article is one of trauma. You wouldn't tell a war vet to deal with their PTSD by manning up, and you wouldn't tell a gravely injured child to man up when they have traumatic experiences and fear from their incident. Well maybe what you just said should have been said so I didn't misunderstand. Also; I do not take the stance of "I don't think drugs should be illegal". I agree with your point, absolutely.

I think you're both missing the point; if you're giving someone money, you want them to spend it responsibly; not on drugs, even if they're legal.
