It's past time to start considering a system where people are screened for suitability, ability, and psychological stability before being allowed to reproduce, even if the kneejerks scream "Eugenics!" at the idea. In a world with a population approaching 8 billion, with increasing automation that limits jobs, it's long past time to STOP treating unregulated reproduction as an unquestioned "right."
