I wouldn't take this as the last straw for consensual sex. Lord knows worse has been done to men and women in the name of "Sex Offender" laws. What's at issue here, and what needs to be fixed is the "Police Liason" nonsense. Thousands of high schools use them, and it's as underhanded as it gets. The whole idea is to get kids who don't know their rights to convict themselves, taking full advantage of their ignorance and-- most importantly --the absence of their legal guardians. It's an obscene pa…

My regret is that my lie was specific enough to be caught. Ooohh... Brutal, but spot-on. Also, as an entertainer, doesn't she realize her pay scale is subjective and not based on coverage or quantity? Maybe not be so public that you'll work for less? I dunno.

I don't think it says anything when the OP blocks a respondent.
/r/MensRights09/08/16 03:28 PM

It's disappointing that so many people are voting your comment down; it's data. I think there's a lot more emotion in play here.
/r/MensRights15/07/16 04:32 PM

That's actually pretty interesting. I can't believe I never questioned this before. I always imagined it was either 50/50 or skewed in the opposite direction.

It's horrible isn't it? I went into a bathroom at a supermarket one day and was startled to find an unsupervised little boy struggling to get his jeans back on because they were too small. He looked at me, and my ingrained reaction was to panic! I sputtered something about "getting help" and went out to find someone who worked at the store, hopefully-- and I know this hurts --a woman since no one would ever question her intentions. Luckily, two happened to be walking by. I hammed up the fact tha…

I hope you can find a way to come together again as friends. To me, this was just... you're okay on this one, I'll just say that.

It's alarming to think she's merely ignorant that men register for the draft by law (though I can see a house without sons or fathers never bringing it up) as it makes me wonder just how many other women are clueless about it and how many mothers will be unhappily surprised.

workplace fatalities in 2014: 4,320 men...359 women Total: 4680. Dead. At Work. That's exactly 18 per workday. From the time you came in today to the time you go home, over a dozen families are broken. Up to 18 entire teams of workers going home in shock and fear. "What's wrong with Daddy?" And someone still has to clean up the blood. The discussion isn't that more women should die (which is exactly what some will take from this article, I'm afraid) it's that less people should die. And I'm sorr…

"Women are at greater risk.." Herein lies the heart of this offensively sexist article. Women are at greater risk for osteoporosis. diabetes, back pain all because of the physical attributes of their bodies. This verbiage is appropriate because it's all medical. Drugs, you get into the social and mental. Women are at greater risk of infection because, "women generally borrow and share needles more than men do." In other words, Women take more of these risks more often to keep their addiction sec…

What jumps out at me are the related search suggestions from Google. I'm actually really surprised that "men" branches off immediately into "Clip-Art", "Fashion" and "Mesh Underwear". Though I'm really not sure what "Women: Body Shapes for Men" is supposed to mean.. Tried opening that one and regretting I did it at the office.

Remember: the name of the game is Gender Swap, and we all know that a 47-year-old man "coerced" into sex by a 15-year-old girl is going to jail. But first his appeal to the police must be met with incredulity and/or a dumbfounded lack-of-sympathy. The divorce lawyers would be just as understanding.

Well, did you know that in violent gay relationships, 100% of the abusers are male?!
/r/MensRights26/01/16 06:10 PM

In 72% of violent relationships, the male abuses the female. /improved wording for liability/ slander protection

Especially gay men, right? Homosexuals have nothing to fear from appearing in public wearing revealing clothes and rainbow charms. No one would even think of physically abusing them... right? Fellahs?

You know, if you listen to the libertarian circle-jerk that is this election, politicians seem to think all success is despised. They talk about the wealthy being "punished" for winning by the jealous, which (if they knew anything) they should know is a natural consequence of success. Why should women be any exception? (I guess they're not used to it yet :P) Wealthy Neocons: POOR US!! Spoiled Socialists: POOR US!! Everyone Else: SHUT THE HELL UP!!! ...and that's America for the next 11 months.

Well, I'll answer it like this. I can't blame my parents because they didn't know. It was a rural hospital, my father's raised Catholic. Moreover it was thought of like getting a pierced ear. It was "fixing" something that would get infected and be hard to clean and whatever. So, the hospital's policy was to do it the next morning. Who were my parents to question doctors, right? This was 1978. The compact disc (CD) would not be invented for another year. My Father once joked, "We knew you had lu…

Your mom is definitely one of the good ones. I'm glad she made the right decision. :) On the other hand, I asked an expecting mother what she planned to do and she said (exact words), "Eww! Circumcised, of course. Foreskins are gross!"
/r/MensRights26/12/15 05:31 PM

Yup, I remember when I asked if I wanted my foreskin chopped off. Of course, I was only 16 hours out of the womb, so my screams of protest were probably misheard...

An interesting thought experiment would be to gauge the reaction to this video, then ask if it would be the same for a trans-male. My guess is it wouldn't be, and that fact would be lost on everyone.

You know what? You're right. You're right! All of that was unfounded and unfair, and I apologize for having written it at all. Seriously! I wish I had better control of my temper. I guess it just hit a personal sore spot with me, so I entered FaceBook mode. My attempted point was that suicide (male and female) is on the rise, and nobody cares. Nobody cares that we're all on anti-depressants. Nobody cares that men living the best years of their lives in wealthy nations would rather die. People wi…

It actually gets worse!! https://yorkopenletter.wordpress.com/ We have been dismayed by the university’s handling of this situation, particularly the retraction, which misrepresented the content of the original statement. We are concerned that the wording of the retraction has put many signatories at risk from supposed ‘men’s rights activists’. That's right. It's YORK's fault they're getting a backlash because the very-sue-able University didn't present this shameless act of censorship with the …

From their publicity stunt open letter: The closing remark ‘gender equality is for everyone’ echoes misogynistic rhetoric that men’s issues have been drowned out by the focus on women’s rights. Right. That 'remark' (read: point of the fucking letter) is simply bursting with insults about women. Amazing how they fit so much criticism and shaming about women in just five little words without specifying a gender in any context. Wow! Men are sure good at harassing women. Why, I think they do it …
/r/MensRights18/11/15 09:30 PM

I haven't been this angry in quite a long time. The Equality and Diversity Committee is clear that the main focus of gender equality work should continue to be on the inequalities faced by women, and in particular the under-representation of women in the professoriate and senior management. In the meantime... In the meantime, you can all go on dying. Please continue living your confused, frustrated existence knowing that neither man nor woman will treat you with any empathy or compassion. As you…

Maybe if men started spending more money on useless garbage, overpriced 'diet' foods and trendy clothes? The media's only agenda is to appeal to the prime demographic because somehow that group has more disposable income despite being so oppressed and underpaid. "You're Being Exploited By Everyone! The Walrus as a model for utopia? Male (bull) and female (cow) walruses live in separate herds and meet on neutral ground to mate. If a cow gives birth to a male calf, she leaves him with the male herd at age 3.

I had my "coming of age" during the second-wave in the 90s. Being a "sensitive" boy, I immediately associated all of the information I was getting and felt guilty, ashamed and even a little angry about being the cause of all of women's suffering. Such that it became impossible for me to associate with women in any meaningful capacity. The stuff that did that to me wasn't even half as spiritually defeating as what I read here. I just got a shiver..

Sometimes, I wonder if evil like this is the only reason I've never been with a woman. All the way through school and into adulthood, I've been terrified that I can't trust a woman with my body(/life); not even the women I trust as friends. ... I wish that meant something.

They say that women feel more, which is why all that material loss is so very tragic. Bullet wounds are not nearly as painful as losing your house. Besides, men don't really have feelings, or need families or companionship so they don't really care about the women they leave behind (selfish a-holes...)</sarcasm>
/r/MensRights20/08/15 01:46 PM

It's the generalization that all porn is of/about women which is especially idiotic. Isn't the male objectified when he's only shown from the waist down? If there's three guys banging and no woman, is that then not porn?

I disagree with this woman. I'm also afraid of her, as she seems genuinely influential in ways which could damage me at her whim. So... Could I send her to jail? (j/a)

I'm going to get nuked for this, but to me that makes the point right there that Gender and Sexuality operate on two different frequencies. While the struggles for acceptance have a lot in common, the social mores seem rife with stipulation.
