I'm a guy, but I'd like to think it's my large ceramic phallus, which is actually the original from A Clockwork Orange.

Try to identify the reasons behind people’s actions before you judge them. In addition, be aware of becoming resentful of your complacent friends who may serve as constant reminders of what you are fighting so hard to escape. As stated by Robert Pirsig: This one's really important actually. If you can't forgive such complacency, you probably won't make it, or otherwise simply aren't ready, to really make a change for yourself.

Anyway, what do you know about determinants? Want to go through my history and take a whack at that problem or not?

Lol hilarious. Nah really though, I'm comfortable with my mom's heterosexuality, enough to take these very light jokes in stride.

Haha. Unironically, this is why men become gay. They'll still say I'm "shit posting," but they know it's the truth. If they weren't gay, they wouldn't be getting offended and commenting anyway...

What's with the casual suicide references these days though. Eh, I don't think you need to read their post though. Reddit's a joke anyway. Why do you think I just ask people why they're gay? People can't even help me answer my very basic questions about determinants, and hardly anyone here has any fucking clue what they're talking about. Just don't give a shit, about Reddit or random women, because you shouldn't. Period.

I've experienced this also. In terms of concrete advice? Stop caring, though that can be easier said than done. Anyway, reading the rest of this comment will probably shed some light on how it's not you at all here. (This stuff really fucked with my mind for a long time too-look up "homosexual OCD," because just about everything described there, I have experienced. It makes you doubt yourself and withdraw from society, if you let it, which is probably the plan.) It's not you, it's just that girl…

And we don't know OP isn't, so why are you trying to portray them this way? In other words, what is your real agenda here?
/r/seduction21/03/21 07:37 PM

The point though if that their argument here is entirely similar to the parent commenter's, but no one wants to consider that apparently. (Edit: And there is actually a lot of psychology suggesting that those who are repressed sexually act out violently, becoming rapists, murderers, etc. Regardless of politics, you should believe this.) Stupid games get stupid prizes.

This is the most pseudoscientific bullshit. How people don't downvote this crap about "energy from your dick coming straight back into you" is beyond me. Do you realize that Seinfeld episode is a comedy? And that comedy is about irony?

you can’t think your way out of thinking. ??? Why would or should they try to?
/r/seduction21/03/21 07:28 PM

You haven't given any information on what exactly your psychology being "fucked" means. So no one here is really going to help you, and they're just going to give the generic "see a therapist" responses. Good luck with that.

In America it's very hard for men to raise kids because it's a competition here and not a team effort. What do you mean here exactly? That men and women compete over being better caregivers to children? Or that they will eventually compete when they get divorced, so they compete already beforehand, and that divorce is relatively more common in America? (Not sure how true that is, but it wouldn't surprise me.)
/r/seduction15/03/21 12:50 AM

In other matters, I'm nowhere near being an America-hater, but unfortunately I think you may be onto something here. I can't tell if it's mostly the pop culture elements, feminism and the accompanying hate for anything remotely conservative, the hypercritical views towards men, general entitlement, or what, but yeah dating American girls is probably a lot harder than dating girls elsewhere. Sure, there are decent ones out there, but statistically your odds of finding one are going to be much low…

I used to think dressing up as Superman and standing on a street corner would get me girls. Haha, what? Did you also want to be a tyrannosaurus rex when you were 17? But yes, this post overall is reasonable. I want to add though, that someone who's never dated can still give good dating advice. If someone like Mark Manson had essentially no dating success, yet still wrote a book that appealed to many, resulting in actual value for others? There's nothing inherently wrong with this. This seems to…

This is very solid advice. I only wish I could avoid my habit of looking away when I lock eyes with someone; it's really not that I'm nervous, but I'm just never sure they're trying to look at me, (it could be accidental or momentary) and wonder then it might make women uncomfortable.

He didn't really say that's what's valuable to him though, just that it appears to be what's usually considered valuable by most, especially women when it comes to dating men. And those things are objectively correlated with dating success. See I read it as saying we should try to collect more honest data on this stuff, maybe by sampling the members here... though of course we can't force people to be honest. It would be very revealing and helpful though.

How is trying psychedelics supposed to help in any way though? People act like they just open your mind to the reality of the world, but I've tried them and that's nonsense. Not only do I have better epiphanies sober, that's the only time I've had such epiphanies. (Excluding things like alcohol and such which hardly affect your mind too much, in small amounts anyway.) I'm more concerned about how or why people act like psychedelics are miracle substances that help you literally see God than anyt…

If you wouldn't want to be friends with her but would want to date her, that either means that something's off, or just that you've only got so much time, and have to prioritize romance, because you've already got all of the friendships you'll have time to maintain. But what is never okay is pretending to want to be her friend when what you are really hoping for is a romantic relationship. This is creepy, and is seriously damaging to women when it inevitably comes to light. But those two are exa…

As a guy, my issue with it is that it's just so damn obvious anyway. So I see what you're saying; it's like their headline could have been "women will think you're a good guy when you're a good guy." Also, this subreddit is or was the PUA movement. It's like they're trying to distance themselves from that association. But then I can understand and empathize here because men are constantly under attack in society; say you're an actual nice guy, well you'll have seen so many criticisms of "nice gu…

Why did it take you till your 30s to realize this though? So many women say stuff like this in comments, and I don't get it, because it makes it look like women really are the weaker sex, which of course, if a man were you say this, would be called sexist. As others have said, yeah your comment is kind of empowering to that type of man.
/r/seduction07/02/21 10:23 PM

So what exactly is "a vibe?" (Because it sounds like it's just "being attractive." My point here is that you're running in circles, and not really addressing their comment.)

Yeah man fuck this subreddit, I similarly made such a comment. (Though with some seriousness, as Biden is clearly an actual pedophile.) It's called humor. It can be rough being a guy in today's world, where I think the social narratives put men on the defensive and women on the offensive; men are often cautious about doing things they'd be criticized for, and thus abstain from acting how they would naturally, even when such natural actions aren't morally wrong or come at the expense of others, whereas women, being told they are always oppressed by the patriarchy and such, are emboldened to act selfishly and immorally, because they grow up believin…

A breakthrough occurs when you realize men are actually the fish, and women the fishermen, in this scenario. In a world where the only food the fish can eat is on the hook, that is. The incels are the asexual starving fish, while those getting dating and having sex know how to flirt with the hook while not winding up on the dinner table...

Personally I've tried meditating, and yes, took it seriously, and it just wasn't helpful for me. (In the sense that "seriously" is meant to be interpreted regarding meditation; and this is something that really annoys me about people advising meditation, that they always want to dismiss or discount you, saying "you probably didn't do it right though" when you tell them it doesn't work for you. They're like cannabis users, which probably shouldn't be surprising considering the overlap between the…

Personally I don't find things like alcohol or nicotine to affect me much at all, other than upsetting my stomach. Usually people will just blame that on being a "dry drunk," but this definitely isn't the case, as I've stopped drinking entirely for well over a year, and similarly (to a lesser extent, maybe a few months) with nicotine. I know it's not entirely objective, but then drugs really are difficult to make objective statements about when it comes to how they affect perception, but I tend …

Also no offense but I really don't like how everyone says this: This sort of interaction begs the question: If women are only attracted to assholes, then why aren't they swooning over Nice Guys? The "begs the question" misuse is minor, but it's also illogical here. Because what you (and everyone using this common pattern) next go into is demonstrating that indeed it's because "nice guys" (note the quotes) actually are assholes! So everything you put there in quotes should not have been begged li…

/r/seduction17/12/20 10:38 AM

I agree, but at the same time, I doubt most girls follow this advice-why would the common, accepted "complaint" from women be "just because I have sex easily doesn't mean I'm not lonely?"-and so I can see how guys, for whom getting laid is difficult and is a major accomplishment, would be inclined to disregard this advice. Such is the state of things: women have generally disregarded the idea that they would be loyal and view sex as something more serious and less casual, going "(lady) balls to …

Yeah people are mixing up being a "nice guy" and being a nice guy a lot here. It's really not that complicated: one has quotes around it and is new age term to refer to a concept where such a man has particular, unhealthy attitudes, and the other is exactly what it sounds like, a noun "guy" modified by the adjective "nice."
/r/seduction02/12/20 02:57 AM

Well this really just dissolves or diverges into an argument about whether such a guy is "just being himself" or not though. Anyway that's where I see this headed, not having read their replies yet lol

(Edit: my mistake, I thought you were saying the girls make that kind of dirty look. Yeah I clearly don't know what's going on there in my experiences.) Woah did you just imply you consider yourself attractive in a Reddit post? Haha. I think I might know what you mean regarding that look from women though. I've never associated it with attraction from them though; often I question if they have heard things about me from others who might know (of) me, and hold some sort of grudge, or reservation,…

Yeah I just made a comment about "the implication" too. That show is often funny and well-designed comedically, though the messages behind the irony generally aren't charitable towards men. Dennis is in no way representative of most men, or even, say, 20% of men.

Then you're a simp, blue-pilled, fragile, beta, soy boy, cuck, white knight, black knight, (due to coffee being black) toxically masculine, disposable, nice guy, and probably even a closeted homosexual faggot, because homosexuals clearly like coffee. /s It clearly couldn't be that you're not a simp for deciding to do something you normally would want to do, instead of not doing that thing you'd normally want to do so that others will see you won't just do what you think they want you to do. What are you even talking about? Coffee dates are beneficial for women in many ways, (eg it's a public place and relatively low-key, so they could leave without feeling pressure. And if you at least try to be a decent guy-which I do understand is difficult in today's world, I do have empathy/sympathy for men here-you should view this as a good thing. You shouldn't want women to be legitimately terrified due to "the implication.") but also very beneficial for men. They're relatively inexpensive c…

While I can understand what OP (and most other men using the term in long enough, relatively well-written posts; when women use it, they generally don't write like this or give context clues. They seem to avoid conceptual clarity, because it could reveal an ugly truth about what they think; women do tend to be more risk-averse, and so strategically it makes sense for them to say less and let their physical appearances make the bulk of the impression. Some, not all, but in my experience this is v…

Yeah it sounds like it's "mean" to say especially that last part, but it's absolutely the truth. Anyway most of these women deserve this treatment, as they've dished it out to men their whole lives, and you know how karma works. They're essentially asking for it. Eg, for a simple example, though I don't date anymore, I don't think I'd have any reservations about associating a woman I'd date with lesbian activity. Women have "subtly" questioned my sexual orientation my whole life. I don't care if…

It's a kind of humorous analogy, technically a metaphor I suppose. It's his (or so it would appear, from my perception of course) way of saying "there's no need to get so hung up on how others will judge you; they'll probably just view you as disposable anyway, so stop giving too many (mentall figurative; women could use the advice about literal fucks) fucks. Because they treat you like you don't matter, don't feel you have to treat them so humanely either."

Hardly even just "sometimes" anymore. I actually just got done writing some long comments in r/askaconservative about these matters, so I won't get into this too much here. I probably would have laughed at the use of that word there, if this problem weren't so serious. Edit: I especially applaud you for that third-to-last block. It seems most men wouldn't do that. And I can understand why: they have a raw deal, and they try to take whatever scraps of pussy (joking there, really any attention at …

Well one thing you haven't discussed is how often you get compliments from women that appear interested in you. Obviously if it happens often, you won't value them as much. Meanwhile, a large number of men probably never experience this.

Something I noticed yesterday in a thread where a guy had "Elliot Rodgers syndrome:" even physically attractive men often believe they're unattractive, whereas with women, if we're being completely honest, they tend to be told they're physically attractive no matter what. In that thread, a lot of people actually directed disbelief at the poster, but expressed that disbelief in ways indicating anger towards OP. It is sometimes (probably more than just "sometimes;" more like often) a competition though, and that can't be denied. I happen to be currently watching the timeless Patch Boomhauer wedding episode of King of the Hill. A fictional story, but one which is realistic, and likely based on true events.
/r/seduction28/11/20 07:08 PM

Something I've been realizing (probably slower than I should) is that girls today don't have similar scruples about dating/sexing men (or women) though. That should definitely be considered.

Shouldn't really need to be said, but yes it's true. (I don't know why Redditors seem to like saying things like "it depends on the context" so much relatively lately, but it seems to be a trend. Trying to emulate other guys also goes against "just be yourself" too. This kind of general pattern is common though in these discussions, unfortunately, and why I tend not to place much faith in dating advice. Anyway I think you've done well with this comment. One thing I can't stand about internet forums is how uncharitable people are to anyone commenting whom they've decided simply not to like. True, but at the same time, I think the way these conversations seem to try and shift all blame towards the man in these scenarios is wrong. Women shouldn't be using people (male or female) like emotional punching bags, or objects that just exist to vent towards, etc. That should be discouraged also. Obviously, if you're a guy reading this post and relate to it, well yes, the one thing you can control is whether you'll stay and listen. So choose wisely, accepting and living with the consequences…

Kind of disagree with labeling the man as being the problematic term though. Those three things are primarily about the girl's actions, not yours. You could have also given it the headline "3 signs she's a female player," or use one of those other terms out there for women who don't want to date but will try to get some dating benefits while leading a guy along.

This is why it's really annoying to see so many posts here say things like "if they're interested in you, they'll make time for you." They completely sidestep discussing what actually makes a person interested in the first place. (And what might make them not interested...)

Most girls flake after dates to avoid “hurting guys feelings” pretty much the girls that ghost are never worth to being with. Yep, this is the truth here. It's easy to criticize guys as the initiators but rarely do women actually see things from their perspectives. (And that includes OP, given some of their comments here. People are massively misinterpreting what I believe OP is trying to say here. That if you spend all your time watching porn, then you're missing out on dating women and actually having sex with women who would enjoy it too. Well, duh. Nowadays people throw around the word "objectify" without even making it clear what they think "objectifying" means. (Edit: and I'm sure they do know they're being ridiculous and unreasonable here.) This whole "porn makes you see women as objects" notion is just ridiculous though. Porn itself is about sex, a very small aspect of womanhood and what we perceive about women. And sex, between straight people, generally does involve a man doing physical objectifying, and a woman enjoying being physically objectified. The objectifying stops there though. (Though, I've heard it said that lesbians like to kind of get more psychologically/mentally objectifying, that's another matter) I'll just be bl…

This is probably really well-known advice though, what with the popularity of the "nice guy" neologism. However: I like the emphasis that it indicates "low value" here, (that's a reason to avoid such behavior that deals more with emphasizing your own perception rather than the girl's judgments; that perspective could be beneficial/preferable for some guys) though honestly I think the way people discuss such "value" here can be pretty vague.

He probably isn't actively trying to be "average," but simply describing how, indeed, there are literally average people having a lot more success than him. No one really wants to think of himself as average, but the reality is, you probably are. It's nothing to be ashamed of either. You didn't sound shallow at all, you sounded honest. Honestly, not writing that edit (and doing similar behaviors) would probably help you with girls too. Girls are especially shallow at the ages you've described, and it's simply a fact. (Edit: Good news here though is that now you, as a guy, don't have to apologize for also being shallow. And overall, time is more on the guy's side too.)

That's not a bad idea, and that person evidently doesn't know what a lot of words like "intrusive" and "entitled" (in a nearby comment) actually mean. No, being entitled would occur when you just expect women to give you their numbers, the opposite of what he's advising. Women's minds are lived almost completely free and boundless, we only focus by choice. What exactly is this supposed to mean? Because tons of women claim their lives are not "free hand boundless" at all, but instead controlled by "the patriarchy."

You're wrong about life always rewarding effort though, in dating and nearly every facet of life. Does acting like life rewards effort make you look better to people? Athletes tell kids they can do anything because they know it's good PR. Obviously, that's why you did it for your post. Still doesn't make it true. You are absolutely spot-on about not taking advice (honestly I don't take much women state as truths too seriously; most if it's just done to try and make them look better. Many men do …

The main problem with this thread I see is that people are trying to project what they see as being "high value" onto others. That will vary from person to person. But anyway it's a good post, and I think OP has made a lot of good comments too.

Just like not all women have massive cavernous vaginas that need 18" penises. According to most on reddit, who evidently intentionally put forth nonsense about female anatomy, the average vagina depth is less than four inches, so yeah, according to them, it would be impossible for a woman to accommodate 18" That's why I hate things like r/badfemaleanatomy: women intentionallly spew misinformation here then blame men for being "wrong." This is very similar to the way women are the ones normalizin…

I do know a lot of girls that prefer loving and passionate sex too, you just have to find them :) Ok, so from the rest of the comment it appears you're female. How would you know this, unless you're having sex with them, in which case is clear they're not as you describe? (Because also lesbian sex is extremely different than straight sex)

To help with this: I like to pretend I'm one of the main protagonists in certain movies or shows. Think of yourself as Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders, perhaps; you see through people's actions, and you carefully and unflinchingly consider your options. You're not someone to be trifled with, and it shows.

Then it is up to women to walk away when they're about to be raped too. That's basically what your post sounds like. Men aren't the only ones responsible for being friend-zoned, and that's simply a fact. Yes, men could always be more proactive about trying to avoid it, but they're still not solely responsible.

Well-explained, but this is a rare time when it seems like the person you're explaining this too is truly guileless. Well, they did post that shit-eating grin emoji, so did they find the parent comment actually funny? We (both genders, probably women moreso today) used to keep certain information away from the opposite genders in the past, and it's strange to see this in action. What, people who are pedantic but actually wrong? They're abundant, especially on reddit. Edit: eg, look at people who say "him and I" thinking it's correct and they'll sound smart. In the past, reddit was rife with grammar Nazis and pedants, and I think that's one main reason I lurked for so long

I agree to an extent, as whenever you learn anything properly, you need to be doing rather than just reading. But the issue here with dating is that there are major risks which can follow you for large portions of your life, or even indefinitely. If you're not in a stable place career-wise, financially, or with regards to other possible goals, but you still decide to date around, there's a good chance you could wind up having a kid with someone you don't really envision spending the rest of your…

Agreed, I think just cold-approaching like that is a great lesson exactly for the reason you described. And even if you have the perspective to know that overall it's ok if you have some awkward situations-they're just one-time interactions that mean very little in the grand scheme of the universe-actually doing this, and realizing first-hand, is very beneficial.

I'm with this in general and it was well-written, but asking for explanations, when they're not of the sort like "why don't you like me," is actually demonstrating high value. There's a reason crime bosses on tv say things like "I'm the one who gets to ask questions." It shows you're curious about the world as well.

I don't mean just physically attractive, but being an attractive person in general. When it was just about physical attraction, I thought you were at least expressing something rational. /r/seduction05/07/20 03:36 AM

Exactly, she and women in general don't know what they want and that's why we continually have these debates about whether we guys should be nice or bad. They inflate what confidence in a man should look like, then only fall for guys who are actively putting on a facade of confidence; they're the reason redpillers started talking about "framing."

Exactly, it's girls who use this...well let's call it a paradigm in the first place. They have no apparent clue when they've met a truly confident man unless he literally treats her like trash. And then they say they want truly nice guys, and also make a hobby out of criticizing "nice guys," pretending it's not contradictory. They set these stupid notions up, and men who want to date women then have to play the game according to their rules. And so they struggle with insecurity related to whethe…

I strongly suggest the movie "The Mask" for any man reflecting on these things. Note how the hotter girl goes for him in the end, and the "nice" girl that claimed women would be happy to have him was just manipulating him. What is even the concept of dating nowadays. I bet people don't really know. The majority of guys really stumble into a relationship and stay there because they're too afraid of being alone. Yup that's the impression I get from it, for the most part. I don't think PUA will help most men here, but I don't think it will hurt their chances either, and it at least gives them something else to think about other than the absurdity and dehumanization of trying to date women.

I think this may be true to an extent, though you know whether or not you really have a true crush on someone. In my earlier years (up till early college, somewhat through high school even though I knew others knew I probably wasn't dating anyone) I often would internally tell myself something like "hey these people don't know you've never dated or have sex; act like you have a close SO now" just to help appease some of my anxiety about being a dateless virgin. What? How can anyone actually gage that objectively? That's actually really easy; you get surveys from many different people, not just the woman in question, rating people on some scale. It's not complicated at all. And this is something well-studied too; heck if you actually knew what an "incel" really is you should know that. Companies like tinder probably do the metrics. Anyway incels typically cite such information for their ideology

/r/seduction09/06/20 02:45 AM

Yeah that's true. Though I don't know, I get what he's ultimately communicating, especially since he sounds relatively young. When I was in college and high school, it seemed every girl was just looking to screw around with guys with impunity because YOLO, basically. As if they were just trying to amass "experiences" rather than really dating. Though that breeds really, really terrible habits for such women as they grow older.
/r/seduction09/06/20 02:40 AM

This is why I get really annoyed when women complain about how there are too many men who seem to just be interested in sex. Well that's because there are so many male virgins out there that you wouldn't have sex with if you knew, because women unilaterally decided not to like and date male virgins. These men know that in order to date they need to get the bare minimum of experience there, so sex naturally comes first, for practical reasons. They need to get laid first. And to "prove" they're no…

They're also physically weaker and dating's more dangerous to them than it is to men. Except that doesn't support what you're saying at all, and actually goes against it, as then they shouldn't be trying to date as many men via OLD.

Eh I don't buy the "women will know if you don't do everything perfectly" nonsense. Women aren't all-powerful, omniscient beings; that sounds like you projecting self-judgment onto them in an unhealthy way not unlike "putting the pussy on a pedestal." Look at Patrick Batemen in American Psycho, for instance; girls were still interested in him solely for his physique. Nevertheless, what you're saying obviously has merit to the extent that good self-esteem is better for you than poor self-esteem b…

This is why one should always be self-motivated when it comes to working on themselves. You should, primarily at least, want to be healthier because it makes you feel better, regardless of whether you look better to others, attract more admiration, etc. Sure, most don't have their motivations aligned optimally (at any given time) either way, but with time and maturity they should get better.

I hate to say it but this probably applies to me in dating too. I don't dislike women in general-a supervisor/trainer I have does a great job and is overall fun, though admittedly it's a new job-but when it comes to dating, I think I'm all tired out. And I haven't even tried dating in a long time, so that's saying something.
/r/seduction28/05/20 11:28 PM

But the first two sentences contradict each other. Complimenting your male friends isn't "expressing your sexuality" to them. That's just a really poorly phrased opening I suppose, or perhaps a way to invite redditors to make lame gay "jokes."

It depends on the context, but your reasoning is sound for many cases. For example, if you met a girl on tinder or something similar specifically to date, making your intentions clear, and while rejecting you she suggests "we can still be friends," further expecting you to do friend things with her, you've got no obligation to do so, and have every right if you happen to feel offended. Yeah exactly. What kind of personality or behavior you present, or, more accurately, which elements you don't present, are far more crucial to success for a man trying to date women. And note that I said "present" for a reason; I suspect in the history of all heterosexual dating experiences, the reason behind the plurality of rejections is that a man who truly isn't needy/desperate has been rejected for appearing desperate from the woman's perspective. There's so much casual lying a man needs to…

This may be applicable often, but something I've noticed over the years about women: when they say "I'm not mad about you doing x, it's how you did x," it is often that you did x, with the rest being pure pretense. No, this post merely says you shouldn't treat women specially, unless they actually deserve it. Low effort criticism there. Men need to hear and think about this, because our society is so gynocentric and falsely overentitles women constantly. The guys that need to hear this are isolated and brainwashed by the feminism which permeates our culture; many don't even understand why they're failing, and it's not their faults; for whatever reason, leftist propaganda seems effective.

Who downvotes this? (Obviously women, which is why we have these problems in the first place. Let men have a space they can discuss these things; you don't see men hijacking your women-only threads, and when they do, you attack them.) You didn't say "all women" or just "women," like women would and do say for men. What you've said is objectively true, and is important for a man to recognize. I was about to reply to a comment yesterday on a similar sub where some girl was complaining that she thinks guys expect girls to look incredible but don't care if guys like themselves are ugly...well a large number of posts on these subs do have men focusing on physical attractiveness and hygeine. Though, if things like money, career, humor, and status take precedence for men, that's because women have written and signed that contract, and…

Debating the semantics is ultimately pointless though. I'm sure we've all known at least one or two guys who thought they were in a good relationship, but as an outsider, you can see how the girl is almost certainly using him while he thinks otherwise.

Trust me, they know they're misinterpreting you; it's part of their game strategy.

It's good advice, but also pretty basic: essentially it's "don't put the pussy on the pedestal." Maybe I was like that once-I really can't recall-but I think most men find this difficult to really integrate into their behavior or mind. It's perhaps easy to say and difficult to do. But that's why practice is important, and why I think it's a great idea to just go out and say lame shit to strike out and get comfortable with it. Even though our modern PC world makes that seem riskier, they've also …

You don't even really have to explain what a "no girl" is, I could tell immediately. Sadly, it's normal in our society for girls to be like that. They're the ones who always act like they're the ultimate judgmental authority, and will criticize anybody for trying anything at all slightly not "cool," but will still criticize anyone "just because"

Yeah I'm not a fan of these tactics (and disqualifying, negging, and teasing are all essentially the same, though some differ in consciousness of the actor and severity) but if you actually have reason to think any of those things, and she keeps giving you reason to keep thinking them, you should just say something.

I believe it, for sure. Most of my guy friends have all been fairly respectful of the guy code, and don't try to get with others' girlfriends, but admittedly, I don't date much at all, so I wouldn't know first-hand. I've been lucky there though. At any rate, it's important to make sure the people you call your friends are truly your friends, and acting as such.

Agreed, but hadn't thought about this concept in connection to dating this way. For me, personally, seeing women complain and call all/most/many/etc (they usually don't use a qualifier at all, but leave it open-ended, but imply "all" by the context) men are just human shit rapists who only want sex, are abusive, send dick pics and act like jerks all the time, acting like straight white men are automatically "angry" and the actual devil, etc, is what turned me off from dating. But yes, this is a …

It's definitely true for men in general, as we're usually valued or judged for what we can do or provide, regardless of how much so-called progressives claim they wish to abandon traditional stereotypes. For women, it mostly isn't a factor, overall, for most men doing the assessing.

I'm a bit confused about what you were really trying to communicate with that second-to-last block. Not ever thinking or acknowledging when bad things happen can be really bad for you too, and will make women think you're kind of soft or a pushover, then leave you. But yeah, you pretty much have to really, truly literally, not care to succeed in dating as a guy. (Though if you truly don't care, why date anyway?) Even then, that's necessary, not sufficient.

Well life is widely deemed to be circular, or cyclical, and for many men that's how this goes: guy was bitter about not having a girlfriend, and gradually decides fuck it, I'll have good times with guys friends, not caring about whether a girl comes along; then a girl comes along and they gradually invest more in her, leading them to be less fun and friendly with their friends, eventually bringing that guy to a state where everything's about dating her, inevitably leading to relationship problem…

Eye contact is a strange thing though. Had a recent interview where they asked me to keep eye contact so they'd know I wasn't cheating (I should have just moved the camera back, don't know what I was thinking) and thereafter it seemed I was applying too much eye contact because they'd then look down or away after a bit. Maybe it's just me personally, but I think the more I tend to think about the "little" things like that the more I mess them up.

I think you're projecting a bit, or otherwise assuming he's projecting. Many guys do in fact look just for sex, just as many girls do; the latter is more socially normalized of course, which is sexist. Either way, when I see a post like this, I know it's not right to assume the speaker has to say "sex and/or dating" every time they mention one; that's just pedantic or otherwise intentional nitpicking

I mean I agree with some of the things you've said, but you're kind of going off in different directions. Eg, if women seriously don't want men that bow down to feminism or whatever, why does that seem to work, in terms of them getting laid or dating, for many men? Why would they become "white knights" in the first place if it didn't benefit them somehow? Though I do think the answer lies in a lot of feminists' hypocrisies anyway. While many men do "go along to get along," ultimately to their ow…

I think "friend" is being used in different contexts here though, and that this is responsible for the confusion here. Networking itself is generally required for both your career and dating.

Yeah but I tend to think of it as the hobby finding you; if it's not what you really want to do and it's something you're doing just to attract girls, it's probably not a good hobby for you. I was a math major and there were very few girls in my classes, but I didn't switch majors or stop caring about math just because I wanted to meet girls.

Agreed but I really wish people would stop calling them "dude:" even if they are male, they evidently don't know what it's like to be a guy trying to date a good woman. It's just so obvious their post is agenda-driven, and literally unbelievable that other guys don't seem to see it. And I get that you might just be using it in a less literal, colloquial sense, but it still sends the wrong message.

OP's probably not even a dude. Or has otherwise been instructed by a girl to say this. Or is possibly gay, who knows, but his post is clearly agenda-driven.

Funny how I saw a post just like this, maybe on this same sub, with negative karma just yesterday. Btw, I don't think this saying makes women look very good, no matter how you look at it. Women were also supposed to be (and were) the gatekeepers of virtue, but that's long past. Men still have a monopoly, more or less, on most other positive moral values. Naturally that means men are the more responsible agents in the exchange, and suggests there's something wrong with this model's valuation. Goo…

This is really oversimplified. Ironically, I see a lot of people somewhat similar to you criticize Evo psych, but either way, both people ultimately "choose" each other if they're in a consentual relationship. So in light of this, it sounds like you recognize how much control women have over yours/men's lifves but you're too weak or lazy to do anything about it. No offense but that's how these posts invariably read, assuming they're not propaganda anyway.

It's typically the opposite, biologically speaking anyway. This is actually well-established, and a simple google search would have spared you this post. It's age 25 for guys and 22 for women's attractiveness, (FYI that's probably why whoever wrote Taylor Swift's songs used that number) 30 for their sex drive. 30 is also when birth defects for the woman's children really start becoming a risk, which explains the increased sex drive.

Yeah I'm really tired of people saying that about tinder. There's a very strong double standard now where if you're a guy that uses tinder, you're automatically a fuckboy, but if you're a girl, you get to be whatever you claim to be, and if you repeatedly complain to everyone that you can't find a long-term or serious relationship on tinder, people just automatically have to pay their respects. It's just more systemic, socially accepted sexism. There are actually plenty of girls on tinder that a…

Who gets to set these definitions exactly? Even if there were an impartial board to regulate these terms, it's human nature to use them with certain subtextual elements. You might say "you're just waxing philosophical." (old classic problem: how do you really define a sheep, for example? Generally you know one when you see it, sure, but how could you formally define such a concept? Even with modern genetics there's no clear resolution.) But whether you call it philosophy or not, there is a very …

You're absolutely right. See when people like myself and others attack TM, we're (generally speaking; I don't speak for everyone) attacking the way certain political groups use the term to attack men and advance an agenda. We're not denying that the term has a real meaning. Feminists intentionally sweep toxic feminity under the rug. And of course, as OP started hinting, women nowadays, seemingly "empowered" by these feminist notions, now act belligerently and aggressively-traits actually associa…

Most woman won't, sure. Too many are brainwashed by the left (and some on the left can be reasonable regardless, at least sometimes...) But I try to have faith man; still relying on anyone else to be morally upright nowadays is folly. Because the message you're sending is still dividing us into groups/tribes, which is exactly what the left wants with its identity politics. Obviously not a coincidence. It's a hard fight for sure, and sad to see the parent commenter have negative karma for such a …
