I will admit there was a time in my relationship that my wife carried more of the mental load for all things child related, vacation related, etc. But she always had this idea the relationship split was 100 to 0, instead of what it probably actually was which was 70/30 or 60/40. In recent years I quit my job, started working for her and became the primary caretaker for the kids before/after school and during the summer.
