I just enjoy watching him push their buttons. He doesn't accomplish anything himself, but he causes them to become emotional and make mistakes in public.

The only time my girlfriends were ever truly close is when I was actively distant, and vice versa. It feels like the dramatic version of trying to force together two repelling magnets. I just don't have any interest in playing that game because there are so many better games on the backburner (thanks Gabe). No quality of sex or amount of benefits are worth having to constantly balance and maintain that drama.

So how is this game? I'm really into Souls-like titles and have heard very mixed things about Necropolis. It looks like a lot of fun, but I've seen things about it being abandoned by devs, etc.

10000% this. BPD is the main reason I will never again have any relationship or contact beyond a professional nature. Being with a girl with BPD was more miserable and depressing than anything I've ever encountered in my life, and leaving was more like an amputation than a breakup. I don't personally believe AWALT, but if there's any chance of ending up with a Borderline -- and you never know until it's too late -- then I'd rather just spend my life entirely alone.

Yeah, PC has Dark Souls 1, 2, and 3, but Demon's Souls and Bloodborne are Playstation exclusives. Really hoping they'll port/remaster the latter two because all five games are fantastic.

While Bloodborne is a console exclusive the PS4 will always be a special system.

Nice! I'm convinced the hardest one is whichever you're playing at the moment. I've beaten all the Soulsborne games many times and every time I play any title it's suddenly the most difficult one, like I'm a noob getting my ass handed to me all over again...in the best way possible. (This series turned me into a masochist for hard games.) While the lack of quick travel was a little bit of a pain, I enjoyed the idea of not being tied to a "waifu" for leveling and progression -- and not for any MG…

TL;DR - Yes. The mechanics are mostly the same from game to game with slight tweaks and changes, but none are particularly superior or inferior for beginners. I'd recommend DS1 because it's the beginning of the lore in the Dark Souls series and is necessary for getting the most out of DS3, but plenty of people have started with the third title. DS2 is mostly standalone, and while it's admittedly probably the least of the Souls trilogy it is still better than the majority of action RPGs. The one-…

Currently playing through Doom (2016) again and it's as awesome as the first time, especially if you have a PC that can pull off max settings -- basically possible with a microwave. Also, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Divinity: Original Sin 2 is great, significantly better than the first! As for the sale, I will always recommend the Dark Souls games, especially the first and third since they're closely related. Favorite games ever.

I don't believe AWALT, but I don't really care either. I was in a relationship with a borderline and even if only 5% were borderline and the remaining 95% were perfectly great unicorns, I would still not bet the rest of my life's happiness on such terrible odds. So personally, no AWALT, but maybe EWALT (Enough Women Are Like That). Hell, even if 100% were...unicorns?...I'd still be perfectly fine being single. Ever since deciding to stay single I've been having the time of my life.

Reading is great. You learn so much even from fictional works, and it helps immensely with writing. If you don't mind reading on a computer or other device (and a big plus if you have an e-reader, very cheap nowadays) you can go to Project Gutenberg to browse and read (legally) over 54,000 free ebooks. That's like three public libraries. If you can scrap together ~$50 you can get a decent e-reader and literally be set for a lifetime of reading, let alone with cheap/free titles regularly availabl…

I've had just about enough of equality for a lifetime. I'd rather have that thing where everybody is treated the same way regardless of gender or race or belief, but we no longer have a word for such a concept.

Build one yourself; it really isn't as hard as it sounds. It will always be cheaper and you'll get exactly the parts you want, along with the experience needed to make any future repairs. Use PC Part Picker to create several blueprints for yourself (it won't let you miss anything important) as well as browse others' builds, and then you can finally purchase and assemble the parts needed.

Sorry to hear about your situation; can't imagine the feeling of betrayal. I couldn't help with information on retaining your possessions as I've never been married, but at the very least consider even that cutting losses in light of no children. One can always replace possessions; lost children poisoned against their father are something else entirely, and in that regard you've come out ahead. As ahead as one can be, that is. Glad you're enjoying it. Just keep doing it and stay exposed to the sun as much as is reasonable (with a tiny bit of sunscreen) while you're first starting shaving; this will cure the bluish hue and you'll look less like a guy from American History X and more like...well, a guy that shaves his head. Paired with the right facial hair -- or if you feel you'd best wear none -- a shaved head is a look you can carry into your late 60's (or even further) and age very little.

Our society looks down upon Colosseum gladiator combat and sacrificing the unwanted to animals for public cheer, but that's exactly what feminism is becoming: Real violence and murder in the name of validation and entertainment, the approval or dismissal of life left to the crowd's likes and shares and retweets...or silence. I'd always assumed it wasn't legal, which is funny because it's legal for any other alien/gender hybrid in existence. MGTOW doesn't have hard-coded rules, except that one should maintain independence and control of their own life. Some believe in complete celibacy and monk mode while others maintain a very normal social/dating life, simply refusing marriage. Some believe all women are inherently dangerous and will damage a man, others believe they have a nature with that tendency but can rise above, and yet others believe they're autonomous and responsible for their actions just as we are -- except not worth th…

The media in general is its own worst enemy. Yeah, there are way too many fantastic older games readily available to feel obligated to support companies going off the rails with political correctness. I'm pulling up old Pokemon, Harvest Moon, and under-the-radar indie games I missed from the 90's and early 2000's just because they're much better experiences than the super-polished turds coming off the EA/Activision/etc. conveyor belt daily.

It's interesting you say this, because classic Greek and Roman mythology were actually very detached from "appropriate" human behavior. Their deities were fairly removed from morality and instead represented imperfect humans, but in greater form (obviously). Altruism was not a factor of worship or existence; instead, it was more like general superstition more fully realized than generic rabbits' feet and salt-tossing. Although that was also more of a religion that was shaped around life than liv…

Personally I think, like with all things, we'll experience the slingshot effect and things will eventually regulate. I know many here believe we're in the epilogue of humanity facing the end of society. But then, to be honest, I've gotten to where I don't really care what happens after I die. It's hard to worry for a society that acts like it wants to kill itself.

Of course, down the road it'll go out of business and will be entirely due to sexism and the patriarchy. I'm assuming the male employees weren't comfortable with an 18% pay cut. Maybe they should also push for male reproductive rights awareness and only put baby changing stations in men's restrooms. Or raise divorce awareness by making the men pay for the meal and giving the vast majority to a woman.

I'm not sure what that has to do with traditional conservatism. Most men want a pretty wife and to breed, and then hit a point in their late teens to early thirties where that changes or goes away completely. Nobody grows up dreaming of staying alone or having an ugly wife.

What I don't get is why guys like this make long posts about such a choice by the same sex, especially -- as he explicitly states -- his competition. On one hand there's this masochistic side of yourself that enjoys wanting and longing for someone, while on the other hand the logical side is saying to give up and leave it alone. Eventually the magic will wear off -- probably in phases that include depression or anger -- but things will certainly get better and you will be free as long as you choose not to torment yourself overlong. I don't, and have no desire to (logically speaking of course, though my body doesn't always agree). I was fortunate to get all and more than I wanted a few years ago, which dispelled the magic; I've found that there's more long-term reward and no sacrifice in things like video games, reading, etc. It's certainly not ideal or perfect, but there's absolutely no worry of pregnancy, diseases, accusations, drama, stalkers, unforeseen attachment, or anything else.

A lot of the time if you invert the lyrics -- i.e., reversing singer and subject -- it goes from being a normal love song into an excessively selfish song about how one deserves the world and their lover needs to change. Agree on Fallout 4. It's a fun and impressive game, just not a very good Fallout game. In my opinion New Vegas is the height of the Fallout experience; they've patched most of the bugs and it has a bunch of phenomenal DLC. They mention like three or four times over the course of the article about how women aren't putting off a family for their professions, but all they discuss are women who worked through college and a career before looking for a family. That's perfectly fine and their choice, but they can't ignore their biological clock and expect a Get Out Of Jail Free card from nature. "Revelations" aside, their research methods are appalling for a community college, let alone Yale: The study led by Yale Univer…

Don't want a family, don't want sex, don't want a relationship, don't want emotional support, don't mind dying alone. There's very little you can sell someone (especially through shaming tactics) if they value exactly none of your product. And now to get back to the life of the not-a-real-man -- that is to say, doing whatever the hell I want and being happy as can be.

Choose neither and keep playing the game. Once you pick a side you're like halfway through the story, and the last half is maybe 10-15 hours. In fact, I don't think you even have to pick a side to complete the story. There's boatloads of stuff to do outside the main plot, and seeing some context might make you pick one side over the other.

Let's reword this slightly. A 21-year-old man was fired from his job as a Christian preschool teacher because he wouldn’t end his hobby as a drug addict. Nino Skye of Beverley Hills, Calif., chose a life of smoking crystal instead of working with children after his bosses confronted him over internet posts promoting cocaine and heroin business ventures. “I love teaching. I love crack. If I can get away with doing both, then I will.” Unfortunately for Skye, it looks like he can’t. While he does, …

It works everywhere else? Europe begs to differ. Almost all mass shootings occur in no-gun locations; shooters obviously hold no regard for the law, so imaginary scenarios such as nobody having guns are only useful as theories and science fiction, not in reality. Guns have another use, their primary purpose besides hunting: self defense. They are very effective and in the right hands, like all tools, extremely safe. Their purchase also requires a criminal background check, and carrying them priv…

TL;DR - Not only are the research methods and standards completely absent, the findings are essentially non-existent. Did anybody else notice there is no mention of the research methods used in the study? How many individuals were assessed across all time periods? What is "poverty?" How can this article's mentioning of education and income be reconciled with the fact that other feminist research is rejoicing (and still complaining) that more women are attending school and on average earning more…

I live in a very conservative state and in a very conservative county. I started by going to a community college and then transferred to finish and do grad at the state university (same location), and both are quite literally a hive of SJW liberalism that stand out like a tumor on an otherwise healthy body. Everywhere around these locations is a generally happy, productive, quiet place of living and business that enjoys life. The schools, on the other hand, emanate a large-scale city atmosphere …

Instead of avoiding what you don't like, focus on what you do like. I don't think it'll get to that point. Either popular support for feminism or general western society will buckle under the pressure long before that becomes a widespread reality. Part of me still roots for the West, but we have so many people here hellbent on committing cultural suicide that there's not a chance; how can you fight for your side when your side is fighting itself? So before you follow an ex on Twitter, send them a Facebook message or stalk them on Instagram, consider two big factors: Are you single? And if not, are you prepared to let reconnecting with your ex devastate your current relationship? If the answer to either question is “yes,” you could be in for a pleasant reunion with an old friend. What the hell kind of a person says something like that?
