As an Indian , I'd say unreported rape cases are huge in numbers against both males and females. It's because rape against men isn't considered rape and is considered shameful and hence not reported . In women's cases , laws aren't practiced well in the rural areas and it's also considered shameful and hence not reported. I do agree that there are alot of false cases aswell. Everyone here has the aim of men's rights , But not everyone here thinks the same way on other matters. That's why you'll see both opinions who are telling her to be a good friend and those who are telling her to get him guy friends are getting support. You see , Everyone in Men's Rights Movement has the same aim but not the same way of thinking. There's lots of different kinds of people here with different thinking. So you'll get different kinds of opinions here. Personally I'll say just be his friend. You don't need to go out of your way to do something different, Just hang out with him. If he feels comfortable opening up to you then he will , If he doesn't then that's alright too.

The rape laws aren't biased towards women , Them being biased towards women would mean that there are rape laws for men which isn't the case. Men can't be victims of rape and women can't be perpetrators of rape according to the Indian law. The only law that protected men from sexual assault by other men got decriminalised half a decade ago.

That's how it's supposed to be. But there was a case where a woman (adult) had sex with a teen (16-18 I think) , But filed a case of rape on him after the teen's mom threatened to call police on her. The guy was arrested.

Tbh even that's not the best way to decide , What if the man/woman is waiting for you because they're worried that something might happen to you while you're alone? If the person is waiting for you with ill intention then the bear should be chosen. Sadly there's no way to know a person's intention.

It's a two-way shithole tbh. In Urban areas , Women can easily get away with false accusations and stuff. In rural areas , There's not much help for female victims. It's shit for everyone except maybe those extremely rich.

You really aren't aware about the situation of false allegations, Are you? He will most likely have to prove that he didn't hit her . Even if the court rules in his favour , Society is going to label him an abuser. That's what happens with a lot of these cases.
